Unidentified Aerial Phenomena
[UAP] Index Page

This UAP index has been created for those seeking information that explains strange new phenomena in the skies across the world. There are now thousands of reports of "orange lights" or a "red lights" often described as, "orange light sightings". If you have seen "balls of light", "orange orbs" or "orange balls" or what looks like a "plane on fire" in the skies, then the following information will be of great interest to you. The term Unidentified Aerial Phenomena has been adopted by the military, airline and civilian personnel to describe intelligent plasma phenomena that has all the properties of being another lifeform. The most important fact you need to know is that the UK Ministry of Defence conducted a four year study codenamed "Project Condign" that examined historical and current secret UFO files and came to the conclusion that this strange phenomena accounted for most of the 'unexplained' sightings i.e. those reports that could not be accounted for by any conventional explanation. The Condign report's Executive Summary opens with this unequivocal statement:

"Reports of UAP (popularly known as "UFOs") are usually described as coloured lights and sometimes shapes. They are typically spherical, disc, torroidal or cigar shaped. Very occasionally they are reported with sound and even with smell. Reports occur because they comprise unfamiliar and unexpected lights, shapes and patterns, in the context in which the observer sees them. The phenomena occur on a daily, worldwide basis. […] "That UAP exist is indisputable. Credited with the ability to hover, land, take-off, accelerate to exceptional velocities and vanish, they can reportedly alter their direction of flight suddenly and clearly can exhibit aerodynamic characteristics well beyond those of any known aircraft or missile-either manned or unmanned."

Whats more, the UK Ministry of Defence have deemed this strange phenomena as being NO THREAT to British security. However, there are a few scientists around the world who have been investigating these anomalous lights for decades and we know that these lights have been seen in certain parts of the world for centuries. The reason why they have become very visible and active is because our world is now in a massive transition of cosmic energies. This index provides a good selection of relevant background reading material.

From the Jack Littleton website: "The British Ministry of Defense has recently (in May of '06) released a study, formerly Secret, into the value of continuing to report UAP (Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon) incidents to the Ministry. In other words, an estimate as to whether there was a value in collecting such reports from the public. They claim to cover over 25 years of UAP reporting in the U.K. while referencing data going back as far as 1607 in the Czech Republic. It's a massive and very technically-detailed study."

The 460-page Condign Report states: "No evidence exists to suggest that the phenomena seen are hostile or under any type of control, other than that of natural physical forces."

"Considerable evidence exists to support the thesis that the events are almost certainly attributable to physical, electrical and magnetic phenomena in the atmosphere, mesosphere and ionosphere."

Aviation Safety in America: A Previously Neglected Factor - October 2000
Richard Haines, former chief of the Space Human Factors Office for NASA/Ames Research Center, produced this groundbreaking and largely ignored report which is built upon the detailed case studies of 56 near misses involving UAPs going back half a century. Haines argued that pilots attempting to avoid collisions might well overcorrect, with catastrophic results. This is because UAPs has extremely good maneuverability and therefore he believes pilots should be instructed to take optimum operational procedures when flying near UAP. This report is 88 pages long but the main analysis is only 29 pages and the rest is references and various appendices which are comprised of selected cases.

NARCAP has a disclaimer that reads: "The term "Unidentified Aerial Phenomena" or UAP is an attempt to address the fact that not all UAP are described as UFO. Many are simply described as unusual lights. NARCAP feels the term "UAP" more accurately reflects the broad scope of descriptions in aviation reports as well as the possibility that these unusual phenomena may arise from several different sources."

Article: The Foo Fighters - The RAF Experience
Dr. David Clarke & Andy Roberts
UFO Magazine (UK) January 2003
During WWII the terms ‘UFO’ and ‘flying saucer’ were yet to be invented, but the name ‘foo-fighters’ became popular to identify WWII aerial phenomena, coined by an unknown American airman, probably in 1943. British RAF air crews and squadrons during WWII called them ‘The Light’ or ‘The Thing’.

An amateur photographer from Westbury, UK took what he described as 'a shot in a million' of a UFO seemingly tracking an Hercules plane from RAF Lyneham. This photograph was taken at about 3.45pm on July 22, 2009, click image for the full story.

Plasma entities that the Russians call Vacuum Domains or Natural Self-Luminous Formations (NLSF) are helping to transform this world. Thus, we read: "Hundreds of thousands of these natural self-luminous formations are exerting a increasing influence upon Earth's geophysic fields and biosphere. We suggest that the presence of these formations is the mainstream precedent to the transformation of Earth; an Earth which becomes more and more subject to the transitional physical processes which exist within the borderland between the physical vacuum and our material world."

Article: Why Do Ufologists Largely Ignore the Most Scientific Field Study of UFOs Ever Conducted?
by Dr. Greg Little, Alternative Perceptions Magazine #146, March 2010
"This UFO field research took place over a 7-year span and included over 35 physical scientists, engineers, university students, and many others serving on observation teams. A total of 158 different viewing stations were employed in the research with 620 total observers. During the 7-year study there were 157 documented sightings of 178 different UFOs (unidentified flying objects—most typically viewed as anomalous "lights"). But in many reports, these "lights" were observed close-up, and revealed more than simple balls of light. Equipment that was used included binoculars, varying sizes of telescopes and lenses including university-quality telescopes, many cameras and light-sensing devices, a magnetometer, sound recorders, Geiger counters, a spectrum analyzer, field meters, radios, and other measuring equipment."

Unidentified Aerial Phenomena and Radar

Article: The Secret Files: Ghosts in the Machine
by Dr. David Clarke, Fortean Times 195 (2005)
From the earliest development of radar military operators were puzzled by mysterious echoes on their screens. Based on secret files released at Britain’s National Archives, DAVID CLARKE reveals how British scientists struggled to explain "radar angels". We learn here that since the 1940s and 1950s, radar systems were re-designed to ignore anything that does not behave like a conventional aircraft, but it is apparent that even today, air traffic controllers still see mysterious blips and so have continued, routinely tuning out the "radar angels"!

Disclosure Project Witness Testimony: Radar and Pilot Cases
Steven Greer, Disclosure Project
Witnesses from the Air Force, the Marines, the Navy, the Army, and civilian authorities in the United States and abroad who are qualified air traffic controllers and pilots who have seen and tracked unidentified onbjects on radar. Here the term UFO is used here, but on analysis, eye witness accounts of most trained observers are usually a bright light or lights of varying descriptions, with behaviour that suggests UAP is a more correct terminology.

Meteorological Factors in Unidentified Radar Returns
Dr. James E. McDonald, 14th Radar Meteorology Conference, American Meteorological Society, 1970
Summary: This scientific paper, presented by physicist James McDonald in 1970, "comments upon and cites some examples of a category of unidentified radar returns that do not seem to be well-known to investigators in radar meteorology, despite the fact that the phenomena have frequently been attributed to anomalous propagation and other weather effects."

Article: What Radar Tells About Flying Saucers
by Donald E. Keyhoe, TRUE Magazine, 1952
U.S. Air Force and civilian radar experts often see strange objects on their scopes. This is the viewpoint of technicians with a special insight into the famous July 1952, UFO ‘flap’ over Washington DC.

Book Excerpt: "The Flying Saucer Conspiracy" [1955]
by Donald E. Keyhoe, Henry Holt & Co., Library of Congress Catalog Number: 55-7918, 84907-0215,

Major Donald Keyhole, Major, U.S. Marine Corps, retired, recounted what is probably the most significant of all wartime radar detections of UFOs. There were two to three hundred objects involved, but all of them were invisible to the human eye but not to radar. See chapter 15, The Invisible Saucers, excerpts are archived in a MS word file.

"You're crazy!" the captain shouted. "There's nothing in sight. What-the-hell's going on down there?"

Dawson stared back at the scope. The raiders -- closing at terrific speed -- were now only 5 miles away. Dropping his phone, he ran out to the catwalk beside the flight deck.

But there was only empty blue sky above.

Radar is the most important modern development that 'coincided' with the advent of UAPs.

In the past, meteorologists classified spurious radar returns, as "Radar Angels". In Plank's (1956) review, he labeled Type III Angels as "Echoes, frequently erratic-moving, from localized, non-wind carried sources". Where he further confirmed his views (Plank, 1959, p. 23) of what he termed "a type of non-aircraft echo that suddenly appears, moves for a matter of minutes in a semi-straight line path at velocities of some 600-2000 mph, and then disappears."

Science Proves Crop Circles Made by Balls of Light

Article: SCIENTIFIC STUDIES “CONFIRM CROP CIRCLES ARE MADE BY BALLS OF LIGHT”
Swirled News, 31st July 2001
DR ELTJO HASELHOFF is one of the few people on planet Earth to have had a paper published on crop circles in a peer-reviewed scientific journal (‘Physiologa Plantarum’). His paper asserts that the long-recognised connection of crop circles to balls of light may be even stronger than many think. Here, in layman’s terms, Dr Haselhoff outlines the important findings of his paper…

'Milky Way Galaxy' : Milk Hill, Wiltshire, 12 August 2001. One of the largest crop circles of all time, 800 feet across, consisting of 409 circles.

The Background of the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena

This world exclusive article revealed for the first time the secret history of the British Government’s early involvement in the UFO issue, giving an insight into the politics and personalities responsible for shaping official policy.

FOIA declassified documents:
The Freedom of Information Act (F.O.I.A) in an American law that allows members of the public to obtain copies of declassified documents. In reality, most of these documents are probably UAP phenomena, as many are just variations on bright lights that can move at extraordinary speeds.

Website: The Earth's Anomalous Lightforms
This website is a collection of articles and other material regarding anomalous luminous phenomena, seldom investigated by mainstream science. The website presents a charming analysis of light phenomena and the association with English folklore is particularly interesting.

In July 1952, there was a ‘flap’ of UFO sightings over Washington DC and the ensuing publicity caused the British Prime Minister, Winston Churchill to ask the Secretary of State for Air: ‘What does all this stuff about flying saucers amount to?’

UFOs, Sovereignty and Politics

Article: UFOs, Sovereignty and Politics

"UFO ignorance is political rather than scientific"- that's the conclusion of two prominent university professors who had the results of their research on UFOs published in the August 2008 edition of Political Theory. It was the first time a major political science journal had published an article dealing with the UFO phenomenon so it has predictably sparked controversy in the academic world. The joint authors of “Sovereignty and the UFO,” are Alexander Wendt, Professor of International Security at Ohio State University; and Professor Raymond Duvall, Chair of Political Science at the University of Minnesota. Their article breaks new ground in opening up for academic debate the way in which evidence of UFOs has not been seriously analyzed in the modern era. Their main argument is that this is due to a “metaphysical threat” that UFOs pose to the sovereignty of modern states. This threat comes not from the reality of UFOs as an inexplicable physical phenomenon that ultimately have mundane explanations, but the implicit assumption that UFOs are intelligently guided vehicles controlled by extraterrestrial intelligences (the extraterrestrial hypothesis).

The paper by Wendt’s and Duvall’s is available online, here is the abstract, Sovereignty and the UFO but the full paper can be downloaded is here .
