UN panel confronts Vatican on child sex abuse by clergy
BBC News, 16th January 2014
The Vatican is being confronted publicly for the first time over the sexual abuse of children by clergy, at a UN hearing in Geneva. The Church was asked why it continued to describe such abuse as an offence against morals rather than a crime against children.

Archbishop Silvano Tomasi said such crimes could "never be justified" and every child should be "inviolable". A fellow official said "things need to be done differently".

Comment:
I think we are seeing evolutionary changes in consciousness rippling through society... Now that many more people are aware of psychopaths and the propensity of these predatory types to gravitate towards positions of power easily obtained in religious institutions, many are realising that the incongruities and hypocrisy can no longer be ignore... Locking up offenders is no longer enough...

Google Translate equates Francis to a “better world”
Someone has slipped an interesting “easter egg” into Google Translate
Vatican Insider, 9th January 2014
Either it’s Google giving Francis a wink or a hacker thought of a fun way to show their support for the Holy Father, or maybe Google’s putting Francis forward as a candidate for the Nobel Peace Prize. Those who have spotted the interesting anomaly on Google Translate have been coming up with all sorts of theories to explain it. But what is it all about you may be asking.

Well, go to Google Translate, select Italian as the source language and type in “Bergoglio”. The Pope’s surname translates as “better world” in any target language you choose...

Comment:
Sorry, I don't have time to explain this, but it looks like some members of the elite are closely following a new script...

Angels Exist But Have No Wings, Says Church
A senior clergyman says angels are 'back in fashion' but rubbishes their popular portrayal as bare-chested cherubs with wings.
Sky News, 20th December 2013
Angels really do exist but do not have wings and are more like shards of light, according to a church official.

Catholic Church "angelologist" Father Renzo Lavatori says the celestial beings are back in vogue thanks to various New Age religions. But he insists that the traditional portrayal of angels as hovering, winged cherubs rather misses the mark. [...]

Art historian Professor Valerio Massimo Manfredi said the first mention of the word "angelos" came from the Mycenaean civilisation in Greece more than 3,000 years ago. The word means "messenger" in ancient Greek.

Comment:
Here we have a little bit of truth mixed in with a lot of artistic licence to control people's belief systems.... In modern terminology, the existence of a plasma lifeform that some describe as "light beings" is probably more appropriate... The New Age interest is mostly related to the appearance of orbs in an increasing number of different scenarios combined with the belief that we are witnessing the expected thinning of the veil or the apocalypse based on the original gnostic meaning. The article seems to employ a lot of double meanings, so the information presented here has different meanings for the initiated... Besides that, we know the Catholic Church has a huge UFO data collection, good enough to attract the attention of U.S. presidential interest and demands for information to be released... The Catholic Church maintains its position by being ahead of the curve and manipulating the meaning of different phenomena for their own purposes, very few are prviledged enough to find out more of the truth, without a huge amount of personal effort.
  • 'Miracles happen': 'Angel' seen at Promise Keepers event
    WND, 22nd December 2013
A digital image captured during a time of praise and worship at his year’s Promise Keepers men’s conference in Cedar Falls, Iowa, shows what looks like an angel:

    Comment:
There are not so uncommon reports of 'angels' or glowing humanoid figures with wings being caught on digital cameras. If the images only reinforce cultural beliefs, then in my opinion, there needs to be a more serious debate about the existence of interdimensional lifeforms. Currently, it is hard to accept much of what the religionistas have to suggest based on their track record of wanting to control and manipulate the masses...

Mary Untier of Knots, a special advocation for Pope Francis
Rome Reports, 22nd August 2013
[...] Mary Untier of the Knots is Our Lady who unties all problems in life, and frees us from the deceptions the Devil bounds us to.” Pope Francis discovered this Marian advocation when he lived in Germany in the 1980's, while he researched the works of theologian Romano Guardini. He was drawn to the significance of Mary Untier of Knots so much that when he returned home he promoted her devotion. Today, the image is worshiped by thousands in Argentina.

Comment:
Talk about in your face... This is a reminder for those who understand why there are claims that Roman Catholicism is a UFO religion.... To the Catholic elites out there, we are not all uneducated and clueless, so is it such a good idea to keep pushing this kind of thinly veiled acknowledgement about what Catholic elites really believe?

Suspended Vatican accountant linked to suspect spiritual group
Catholic News Agency, 15th August 2013
Vatican City, Aug 15, 2013 / 02:02 am - The Vatican accountant who was recently suspended for allegedly trying to smuggle $26 million had been part of a group known as “The Flock,” which has supposed Mafia connections.

Monsignor Nunzio Scarano is currently under arrest in Italy for an alleged plan to transfer 20 million Euro from Switzerland to Italy aboard an Italian government airplane. Italian newspaper “Il Mattino” reports that Msgr. Scarano was entrusted with the management of a network of real estate activities for the spiritual family “L'opera del gregge del Bamin Gesù,” or “The works of the flock of the infant Jesus.”

“The Flock,” as it is known, was a sort of spiritual family formed in Salerno by a group of priests aged 40-50 who gathered around a visionary known by his first name, Caterina. Msgr. Scarano is known to have been a member of The Flock, which was officially an association of prayer yet acted primarily as a private limited company managing a series of economic activities.

Comment:
The Pope Francis crackdown on Vatican crime is in full swing... Whatever, I still think this story needs an independent investigator because there may be certain factors influencing the storytelling...

Pope's bank clean-up man 'found stuck in lift with rent boy'
Independent, 19th July 2013
As the man charged with cleaning out the stables at the scandal-struck Vatican bank, Monsignor Battista Ricca will need Machiavellian cunning, good fortune and a whiter-than-white record to have even a fighting chance.

But Pope Francis’s new banker appears to possess none of these attributes after it was reported yesterday that he was found stuck in a lift with a rent boy. Msgr Ricca, as Francis’s new primate with responsibility for the troubled financial institution, known officially as the IoR (Institute for Religious Works), is supposed to usher in new transparency and badly needed reforms after years of financial scandal.

Comment:
It looks like the Vatican's 'Gay Lobby' failed to keep Monsignor Battista Ricca's colourful CV suppressed.

Vatican offers 'time off purgatory' to followers of Pope Francis tweets
Papal court handling pardons for sins says contrite Catholics may win 'indulgences' by following World Youth Day on Twitter
Guardian News, 16th July 2013
In its latest attempt to keep up with the times the Vatican has married one of its oldest traditions to the world of social media by offering "indulgences" to followers of Pope Francis' tweets.

The church's granted indulgences reduce the time Catholics believe they will have to spend in purgatory after they have confessed and been absolved of their sins.

The remissions got a bad name in the Middle Ages because unscrupulous churchmen sold them for large sums of money. But now indulgences are being applied to the 21st century.

Comment:
Now that is funny... Catholics still know how to manipulate the faithful... But phone apps for confession are still not allowed, see You can't confess to your iPhone: Vatican bans £1.19 app for Catholics.

Top Vatican bank managers resign after monsignor's arrest
Reuters, 1st July 2013
(Reuters) - Two top managers of the scandal-plagued Vatican bank resigned on Monday following the arrest of a high-ranking cleric with close ties to the financial institution, in the latest of a string of embarrassments for the Holy See.

Comment:
Is the game up at the Vatican Bank? Will somebody find a dead body killed by miffed mafia? Things are certainly heating up...

Vatican Senior Cleric Monsignor Nunzio Scarano has been arrested
BBC News, 28th June 2013
A senior Italian cleric has been arrested in connection with an inquiry into a Vatican bank scandal over allegations of corruption and fraud.

Monsignor Nunzio Scarano works in the Vatican's financial administration. A secret service agent and a financial broker have also been arrested.

They are suspected of trying to move 20m euros (£17m) illegally into Italy.

Comment:
The scandals just keep coming, but the clean up operation seems to have started in earnest... I hope Pope Francis gets some kind of protection... divine or otherwise, he is going to need it... I changed the headline to reflect the story.

Rent boy scandal rocks the Vatican
The Australian, 27th June 2013
THE Vatican is bracing itself for a rent boy scandal after a convicted pedophile priest apparently sought vengeance by informing on other child abusers in the Roman clergy.

Don Patrizio Poggi, who served a five-year sentence for abusing five 14 and 15-year-old boys at his parish on the outskirts of the Italian capital, has reportedly handed names to police. So far, four people have formally been placed under investigation by Rome magistrates.

Comment:
This looks to me like some effective communication i.e. telling the truth for a change... even if it is an act of revenge... This is just an intro as the story is for subscribers only, but here is a longer German version translated using Google translation. As far as I am concerned, the Catholic Church hierarchy is religious mafioso and as such need a certain level of discipline to at least act the part of a religious authority with high levels of moral authority. Since there does not seem to be much of an effort in the Vatican hierarchy to maintain appearances, a major clean up operation is required or else the game will be up. Really, it does seem that many have lost sight of what the Catholic Church is about, but maybe since they still have over 1 billion followers, the deviants still think they can get away with the hypocrisy.
  • Busted prostitution ring for priests in Rome
According to Italian media reports, a prostitution ring in Rome to be busted, the Catholic priests to minors have supplied. Even high-ranking clerics should be involved
    Die Welt, 26th June 2013

Cleaning Up the Vatican Bank
The Globalist, 26th June 2013
The Vatican Bank has been accused of operating in the world banking system in an opaque way.

Among the many reforms that lie ahead for the Vatican, explains Massimo Franco, a key one is to change its financial diplomacy in a globalized environment. That is a tough task and yet critical for Pope Francis to accomplish.

The Roman Catholic Church sees itself as destined to judge and to take confession from the world. In the past, its moral leadership was undisputed, at least in theory. But in the last ten years or so, its image has been shattered by scandals — both sexual and financial.

Comment:
This article explains the background story and edifice of the pious fraud at the Vatican bank. I think the latest news is about who has been picked for a new commission. This is a Reuters story, In bold move, Pope names commission to reform Vatican bank. I think Pope Francis has some big balls, Pope John Paul I was killed for a similar attempt to deal with Vatican corruption.
  • British author claims “honest, reforming” Pope John Paul I murdered in 1978 for beliefs on Vatican wealth, artificial birth control
    Big 3 News, 4th March 2013
With a fatal dose of an odorless drug called digitalis — traceable only by blood tests — that imitates a heart attack, the spiritual leader of the Roman Catholic Church was murdered sometime in the late night of September 28 or early morning of September 29, 1978 in his papal apartment. The unprosecuted crime, according to British investigative journalist David Yallop, involved numerous suspects who conspired to coverup more than $1 billion of theft, partly through the Vatican Bank, and to halt proposed reforms on vital issues of the day such as artificial birth control and the influence of Freemasonry in the Church.

    Comment:
I read this book a long time ago as part of my life long interest in the Catholic Church... Yet, nothing has changed with the amount of corruption in the Catholic Church, if anything the reports have just got uglier.

CRYPTOZOOLOGY IN THE VATICAN
Shuker Nature, 11th June 2013
A few years ago, a friend bought me a wonderful little book entitled And To Every Beast..., one in a series of beautifully-illustrated thematic mini-volumes collectively entitled Treasures of the Vatican Library. All of them combine biblical quotations with illustrations selected from various tomes or manuscripts held in the vast collection of the Vatican's library (which contains over one million printed books, as well as 150,000 manuscripts and some 100,000 prints). [...]

Whoever would have guessed that the Vatican was such a rich repository of cryptozoological and zoomythological exotica? And if you can obtain a copy of And To Every Beast..., please do so, because it's a thoroughly delightful, beautiful little book – highly recommended!!!

Comment:
For lots of reasons, the study of cryptozoology by Vatican scholars will give some pause for thought... I was quite intrigued by the frog with horns but the other images are equally fascinating.

'Gay lobby' in the Vatican, says Pope Francis
Pope Francis has admitted that a "gay lobby" exists within the Vatican's administration and is planning to take action about it, according to reports.
Telegraph News, 11th June 2013
The Pontiff supposedly made the claim during an audience last Thursday at the Vatican with a group of Latin American priests and nuns. "Yes, it is difficult," he reportedly said. "In the Curia there are holy people, truly holy people. But there is also a current of corruption, also there is, it is true ... they speak of a 'gay lobby' and that is true, it is there ... we will have to see what we can do."

Comment:
This is not really news, just acknowledgement of what the current Pope Francis is prepared to admit to a few, who have then run along to the media... Actually, I first saw this story at the Vatican Crimes website, after reading the different but related story Ex-Archbishop of Archdiocese of Miami accused of leading Secret Gay Cabal of Rampant Sex, Embezzlement, Hedonism, Alcoholism during his 16 year tenure and I was sickened by all the other headlines there... This whole website is just full of Catholic abuse stories and general sanctimonious filth so I was going to ignore the story, but a day later I decided I must be going soft in my old age... After some consideration, I decided there was a need to inform and explain to anyone interested about the source of the power of one of the oldest institutions on the planet. As I try to explain in my writings, there are cyclical occurrences of periods of massive evolutionary change. This is known to a few who have retained ancient knowledge concerning 'The Signs Of The Times'. The Vatican has MASSIVE archives of historical documents, some of these documents nobody outside of the Catholic Church are allowed to see, not even Presidents of the United States... This is very relevant when the world elite know for a fact that, 'Knowledge is Power'. It must be very obvious to lots of people that modern religious institutions have very little to do with anything Divine and lots to do with controller/predatory types who see religion as an easy way to grab some power. If you read the history books, the administrative hierarchy of the Roman Catholic Church have never been very holy... The difference today is the Church has been stripped of its power to kill and murder its opponents and stiffle dissenters. Word spreads very fast in the modern media communications/internet age and the hypocrisy and vileness of these people is impossible to hide. Those institutions who rely on sanctimonious 'blessings' from these hypocritical monsters are in a terrible situation as the largely completely out of control religious mafia today appear greatly perverted to those who actually understand the Christian concepts of temperance, moderation and virtue.

Will Vatican declaration of an alien savior spark a religious war?
Exopolitics.org, 3rd June 2013
Exovaticana is both an informative and dangerous book. Informative insofar as the authors, Chris Putnam and Thomas Horn, provide extensive scholarship into the history of the Catholic Church and its evolving position on extraterrestrial life. They claim that the Catholic Church has begun a global dialogue on extraterrestrial life where Pope Francis I will ultimately disclose the former’s existence to the world. Exovaticana is dangerous insofar as Putnam and Horn undergird it with some powerful religious prejudices about the motivations of alien visitors to our world. They claim that biblical scripture is a solid foundation for understanding that aliens are demonic entities who destructively intervened in human history, and are about to return and do so again.

Comment:
Hmmm.... Basically the focus here is fundamentalist Christians Chris Putnam and Thomas Horn, who believe the Catholic Church are about to promote demons masking as extraterrestrials. The response here is that it is a big assumption that all ETs are a threat to humans... Well, after 35 years of searching for truth, I am coming to the conclusion that these Christians might be partly right. I am not a Christian and I have serious reservations about modern Christianity based on Roman Catholic machinations started when Emperor Constantine decided to create a new religion and cobbled together a new god and a new church hierarchy to get the new show on the road. (For those who are interested, scholarly works that are hundreds of years old, now easily available on the internet, prove over and over about the true ancient/pagan/astronomical origins associated with all of the world's religions). Anyway, due to my own research and experiences, I think there is plenty of evidence that humans are being manipulated. Thus, I am starting to agree with a few folk who realised this quite some time ago. I believe that there is a Shadow Biosphere on this planet and the vast majority of this lifeform do not interfer directly with humans. However, in the same way that viruses behave, I think there is a problem with some members of this lifeforms that are parasitical and others who are abusing their original position as "Guardians" on this planet. I believe the story of what goes wrong with the Guardians is preserved in ancient religious text and decipherable to a few. So, if there are a few friendly ETs out there, I think they would have the same problems with this presence too, not to mention a not too friendly world government and military... this might explain why any ETs might choose to stay largely undercover... One thing I would like to add is that I would be very very suspicious of any ETs who would be foolish enough to get involved with the Catholic Church, as the Church have a very long track record of deception.

Cardinal ordered into exile by Vatican
Herald Scotland, 4th May 2013
CARDINAL Keith O'Brien has been told by the Vatican to leave the UK amid concerns of wreaking further damage on the Catholic Church in Scotland.

Friends of the cleric have said he has been told by Rome to shelve his plans to retire to a church-owned cottage in East Lothian and instead leave the country.

The Herald understands Cardinal O'Brien was given the news yesterday afternoon, three days after being photographed moving his personal belongings from his official residence in Edinburgh to the residence in Dunbar where he had been spending regular weekends over the past few years.

The parish priest in Dunbar, Canon John Creanor, is understood to have voiced upset at the Vatican's move against his "dear friend".

Comment:
It looks like the Vatican are now in survival mode and that means getting rid of the dead wood... I also think the connection with Saville probably tipped the cardinal into the nonredeemable bracket... The response to this banishment is unbelievable... DO THESE DAFT AND OUT OF TOUCH FOLK THINK THE VATICAN IS WORRIED ABOUT "a Christian way to treat someone"... Do these people KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THE HISTORY OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH? EVEN POPES HAVE BEEN MURDERED FOR ROCKING THE BOAT... HOW DUMB ARE SOME PEOPLE?

Benedict XVI prays penultimate Angelus: “The time of testing is here, let us focus on God again”
Vatican Insider, 17th February 2013 Flashback!
During today’s Angelus prayer Benedict XVI spoke about Jesus’ temptations before a crowd of 50 thousand faithful, asking them to “Pray for me and the next Pope”

The time of testing is here. We must not use God for our own ends.” Resignation is a testimony of faith. “Don’t be afraid” “to fight the evil spirit,” what is important is that we do it alongside Christ the Victor,” the Pope said during today’s Angelus before a crowd of 50 thousand faithful, urging them to turn to “the Mother Mary.” “Let us trust in the intercession of the Virgin Mary in this time of testing, “ he added. “Through her we will feel the powerful presence of his divine Son, so we may ward off temptation with the Word of Christ and place God at the centre of our lives.” We must reject the false images of the Messiah as Jesus did when faced with the temptations “the Temptor presented him with,” the most serious of which is “using God for one’s own ends,” Benedict XVI said during the course of the Angelus prayer.

Comment:
I feel compelled to re-state the words of the ex-Pope despite the fact I don't have much respect for the office or the hierarchy of the Roman Catholic Church.... However, the Catholic Church have some of the best state-of-the-art astronomical observatories in the world with massive archives of ancient documents telling them what to expect at times of major cosmic upheavals. Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI is now holed-up at Castel Gandolfol, the old Vatican Observatory that in Jan 2008 was being reported as being dismantled, but it seems instead, there was some major re-building work done for who knows what purpose... We know for a fact that they have been tracking comets and possibly other unsual cosmic objects that require state-of-the art infra-red telescopes. A conglomerate of NASA & Vatican astronomers at Mount Graham, Tucson, Arizona have deployed the “Large Binocular Telescope Near-infrared Utility with Camera and Integral Field Unit for Extragalactic Research,” nick-named (“L.U.C.I.F.E.R.”). The Vatican Observatory are using the VATT Telescope to watch C/2013 A1 (Siding Spring)... see this image C/2013 A1 (Siding Spring) and we can presume that a repeat of the biblical 'Passover' by Comet ISON and a possible pollution event is enough for them to make a warning that would only be heard by those with ears to hear... Those who visit this website on a regular basis count as being amongst the few. So, I will repeat, “The time of testing is here...”

Insight: Pope to review Vatican bureaucracy, scandal-ridden bank
Reuters, 2nd April 2013
(Reuters) - Pope Francis, who has said he wants the Catholic Church to be a model of austerity and honesty, could restructure or even close the Vatican's scandal-ridden bank as part of a broad review of its troubled bureaucracy, Vatican sources say. [...]

The first sign of change would be a new secretary of state. "It's not a question of if but when Bertone leaves," the senior prelate said. "It remains to be seen who the pope chooses as new secretary of state."

CRISIS IN THE CURIA

The basic failings of the Curia, as the Vatican's central administration is known, were aired, sometimes passionately, at closed-door meetings of cardinals before they retired into the conclave that elected Francis on March 13. "The Curia did not come out smelling like a rose from those meetings," the senior prelate said, adding that many cardinals had demanded explanations of the scandals and information on how the bank is run and whether it should exist at all. [...]

Anger at the Italian prelates who mostly run the Curia was one of the reasons that the cardinals chose the first non-European pope for 1,300 years at the conclave and quashed the chances of one of the frontrunners, Milan Archbishop Angelo Scola.

Comment:
I seriously wonder whether we will see an attempt to kill Pope Francis... The evidence suggests there are simply too many in the Catholic hierarchy who are not interested in "austerity and honesty". The Church provides these narcissists with plenty of worldly power and prestige, and the facts suggest that those laundering mafioso money are not the sort to worry about being "honest" and the murder of John Paul I after only 33 days gives us a fairly recent precedent... I am now wondering about the prophecies of a bloody shoot-out and Rome being destroyed... Prophecies do not have to come to pass if people take heed...

Cuban cardinal says Pope Francis criticized church at conclave
Fox News, 26th March 2013
HAVANA – Havana's Roman Catholic cardinal says Pope Francis made a strong criticism of the church just hours before he was selected as the new pontiff.

Cardinal Jaime Ortega says then-Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio called for the Vatican to emerge from self-absorption and what he called "theological narcissism."

Comment:
I would be interested to know his opinion on the dying New Age movement... Anyway, I wonder what will happen with the new ET Saviour myth being concocted by Catholic theologians because it is clear there is already a big head of steam in this direction... This is an important quote:
In the lead-up to the Vatican-sponsored conference on astrobiology, the official Church newspaper, L'Osservatore Romano, interviewed Father José Gabriel Funes, an astronomer and director of the Vatican Observatory who made it clear that accepting the reality of intelligent aliens does not contradict the Catholic faith and that, in fact, to believe otherwise is the real heresy, as it puts “limits on God’s creative freedom.” Attorney Daniel Sheehan, who served for ten years as general counsel to the United States Jesuit Headquarters in Washington, DC, said Funes’ explicit statement that disbelief in extraterrestrial intelligence “puts limits on God’s creative freedom” was code-talk for those in the know. [...]

What Sheehan here identified is the belief by most Catholic theologians that Christianity as we know it is based on a pre-Copernican cosmology. Once cosmology changes as a result of new discovery or disclosure of alien life, so, too, will theology, whether explicitly or implicitly. To believe otherwise is “cosmic hubris,” thought Andrew Burgess, who wrote:
“As long as someone is thinking in terms of a geocentric universe and an earth-deity, the story has a certain plausibility.… As soon as astronomy changes theories, however, the whole Christian story loses the only setting within which it would make sense. With the solar system no longer the center of anything, imagining that what happens here forms the center of a universal drama becomes simply silly.[xvi]”

Source: Exo-Vaticana: Petrus Romanus, Project LUCIFER, and the Vatican's astonishing exo-theological plan for the arrival of an alien savior (2013) by Tom Horn & Chris Putnam Serialised online - Part 19
There are lots of Catholic ET quotes from theologians available, but this is interesting because it refers to cosmology and astronomy which is basically going back to how religions started in the first place. It seems to me that the ancient tradition of a new astrological age requiring a new saviour myth was being adopted, but will this now be stopped?

Pope Francis to consider closing Vatican bank
Catholic News, 25th March 2013
Pope Francis is to consider abolishing the Vatican Bank - which has been beset by a scandal over allegations of money-laundering - in a drive for greater transparency at the heart of the Catholic Church, according to a report by The Times in The Australian.

Archbishop Claudio Maria Celli, who has been tipped as a possible secretary of state, or "Vatican prime minister", said Francis would weigh up appeals made by two cardinals on the eve of his election for the bank - formally known as the Institute for Works of Religion (IOR) - to be scrapped.

He said the Pope would be guided by a desire for "transparency . . . and faithfulness to international laws or rules in this field", including those on money-laundering.

Comment:
Good idea... The mafioso can launder their filthy money somewhere else...
  • The secret report Benedict wrote for Francis
    Vatican Insider, 22nd March 2013
Ratzinger has left his successor a 300-page report to look through. And the Vatileaks file appears a bit too biased in favour of Viganò's statements

  • Francis echoes Benedict XVI in his warning against “filth”
    Vatican Insider, 24th March 2013
This reminds me of Mary Whitehouse... another great campaigner against “filth”... BUT who at the Holy See agreed to purchase a €23 million (£21 million) share of a Rome apartment block that houses Europe’s biggest gay sauna? Pope meets Pope: Francis tells Benedict 'we're brothers'
Pope Francis has flown in for lunch with his predecessor, Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI, in a cliff-top castle outside Rome - the first such encounter for nearly 720 years.
Telegraph, 22nd March 2013
The Argentine Pope flew in by helicopter from the Vatican to Castel Gandolfo, where his German predecessor is enjoying the first few weeks of his retirement following his shock decision to resign last month.

The Vatican said the two popes embraced on the helipad. Walking with a cane, Benedict looked frail compared to the robust 76-year-old Argentine. [...]

Not since the 13th century has a Pope had the chance to meet – much less have lunch with – his living predecessor. In 1294, Pope Celestine V became one of the very few Popes to resign, complaining that he had never wanted the role in the first place.

He had accepted the office with the greatest reluctance five months before – he had been living as a bearded hermit in the wilds of the Apennines when a group of cardinals insisted that he was the man for the job.

Comment:
Historic times.... In terms of the rules of the Catholic Church, there is a Pope and an antipope , Francis is strictly an antipope because Ratzinger is still alive. I think there is a much deeper meaning to all this... Whatever, it looks there is a new controversy, which one is Batman? See below:
  • ‘Holy switcheroo!’: Vatican promises its Twitter account hasn’t been hacked after posting about Batman
    National Post, 21st March 2013
VATICAN CITY — One of the Vatican’s main Twitter accounts and the website of its communications office were running stories about Batman, raising concerns it might have been hacked.

A Vatican communications adviser Greg Burke, however, said the sites had not been hacked and that the story is a legitimate Catholic News Service story. “Admittedly some people might have been thrown off by the headline,” he said.

So is 'Batman' the new nickname for Pope Francis? If so, we are going to have some fun and games.... Here is the Batman Twitter message:

Pope Francis: 'washing of the feet' among inmates of 'Casal del Marmo' youth detention centre
Francis will visit the facility on the afternoon of Holy Thursday. As archbishop of Buenos Aires, he celebrated In Coena Domini in a prison, a hospital or hospice for poor and marginalised people.
Asian News, 21st March 2013
Vatican City (AsiaNews) - Pope Francis will celebrate the In Coena Domini, the Lord's Supper, at 'Casal del Marmo' youth detention centre in Rome, at 5.30 pm on 28 March.

In a press release, the Holy See Press Office said, "The Mass of the Lord's Supper, which commemorates the institution of the Eucharist, also features the rite of the washing of the feet. In his ministry as Archbishop of Buenos Aires, Cardinal Bergoglio used to celebrate the Mass in a prison, hospital or hospice for poor and marginalised people."

With the celebration at 'Casal del Marmo', Pope Francis continues the practice, which must characterised by a context of simplicity.

Comment:
I am seriously worrying about Pope Francis.... Instead of hobnobbing with VIPs and celebrities or even doing Mass, he will be visting a youth prison and washing prisoners' feet!!! I expected a eucumenical stance because we are told by Vatican watchers that this will be an evil Pope who wants to be head of a Universal Church and yes the headlines sort of give this impression, see Pope urges religions, those with no church to ally for justice, well I did say sort of... But, it's the living what he is preaching that is bothering me... We are used to the outright hypocrisy that is exhibited by all shades of the spiritual rectum spectrum, but it's weird headlines like Pope Francis in no hurry to move into papal apartment. We are told that when pope Francis took a tour of the 10-room papal apartment a few days ago, he was said to have remarked, “Three hundred people could live here.” What!?! He is supposed to be the anti-Christ! Yet, in reality, this is a man who is used to riding the tube and helping poor people in the slums... Look, here is a picture on Twitter, link. Of course, the worldly media are wondering why he won't wear the stupid red shoes see, Pope Francis ditches red shoes and we are even told he likes wearing his shabby old black shoes. The reporters at the International Business Times were obviously scandalised and headlined their condemnation as New Pope 2013: Pope Francis Wears Old Black Shoes at Inaugural Mass, Not New Red Prada Loafers. Well, since we all know the Devil wears Prada, who could blame him... I hear he is a Jesuit with a degree in Chemistry, so he might not want people thinking he is the Devil... Yet, it seems some people are starting to get embarrassed that he is not living it up now that he has made the no.1 spot on the hit parade... The IBT article goes on to tell us that he is still wearing his old iron cross and is attitude towards bling is not good news for goldsmiths... So, of course, in keeping with his usual austerity he prefers a standard black car, rather than the papal limousine for travelling about to do the Pope meet and greet whilst being generally nice to people... see, Pope Francis Charms Crowd. Due to the informal style, his new security team are worried and one wise Vatican official stated, "There are a lot of nut cases out there," see, "Unpredictable" pope worries security team. Regardless, he does seem to like mixing with the rabble and being spontaneous so he has already called up a few neighbours and had a party for ex-patriate Argentinians in Rome where it was reported folk did strange things like having a knees up and singing, see Pope Francis invites Argentine community in Rome to special meeting... This is really serious... I am struggling to see the evil... I know that some have been digging up some old dirt to throw but quite frankly, I am wondering if times have changed... Well, it does seem that Catholics do feel more optimistic and whilst it is being acknowledged that he is irritating "the right-wing tassels and tiaras brigade", others clearly see what I believe will happen in that he has 30,000 Jesuit brothers to call on from around the world to help him sort out the diabolicus in the Vatican, see The Pope brings us new hope – now it's time to clean up the Vatican... The signs are very clear that as Pope Paul VI realised with his famous remark ‘the smoke of Satan which has entered the Sanctuary’, the stink at the Vatican now requires some major cleansing and the troops have now been ordered... We await the results. Update: More back to basics, Pope Francis changes 'throne' for a white chair

Pope says wants "poor Church and Church for the poor"
Reuters, 16th March 2013
(Reuters) - Pope Francis, giving his clearest indication yet that he wants a more austere Catholic Church, said on Saturday that it should be poor and remember that its mission is to serve the poor.

The pope made his comments in an audience with journalists, explaining why he chose to take the name Francis, after St. Francis of Assisi, a symbol of peace, austerity and poverty.

He called Francis "The man who gives us this spirit of peace, the poor man," and added "How I would like a poor Church, and for the poor".

Comment:
I am starting to wonder if he will last 33 days... Over at Spiritdaily.com Michael Brown writes:
Francis, it appears, is attacking matters at a spiritual level. He is already telling the Church that it should not wrap itself in grandeur, that it is supposed to be carrying the Cross, not sitting at lush dinners, not riding with chauffeurs, not living in palaces, not mugging for TV (he rarely gave interviews as Cardinal), not running a diocese like a cold business, not favoring the wealthy contributor over the devout poor woman, not parading like nobility, not dismissing Adoration, not ignoring Mary (see: his visit to Maria Maggiore), but acting like the Apostles: getting out there on the street and radiating the power they have in Christ (healing, serving, exorcising). Here we recall also Saint Francis Xavier, an evangelist.
WHEN IT CAME TO THE NEW POPE, THERE WERE ALL KINDS OF 'PROPHECIES,' FROM MYSTICAL TO THE SECULAR, Michael Brown at Spiritdaily.com, 16th March 2013
If Catholics especially the hierarchy went back to the conventional ideas of being Christ-like, I would actually have some respect... BUT, I don't think the Dark Lords who appear to be running the show are interested in any real change and certainly not any real spirituality.... For those who don't understand the issues, studying the history of the Catholic Church and all the recent revelations of impropriety especially concerning the money laundering at the Vatican bank will leave you in no doubt that the Church personifies the biblical notion of wheat being mixed with tares... If a good guy rises to the top (of course, this is all relative...) they don't tend to last long, BUT I also wonder about the Jesuit connection... We have NEVER had a Jesuit Pope and Jesuits are the intellectual elite and SAS of the Catholic Church.... This means even the evil Dark Lords that haunt the Catholic Chuch are in uncharted waters... I even wonder, if Bergoglio being elected pontiff was a deliberate course of action because the Church is in so much trouble and moderates believed this was the best way of allowing the Jesuits to take over and rectify matters... Thus, I do not believe the Catholic hierarchy are all the same shade of evil even though at times, the coverup of the abuse of children and nuns is completely apalling and it makes me wonder... So, we will have to see what happens next....

Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio elected pontiff, takes name Pope Francis – live

• Shock decision from papal conclave
• First Jesuit pope, first pope from South America

Guardian, 14th March 2013
(After a few seconds of silent prayer, he then delivered his blessing). • Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio, of Argentina, has been elected as the Catholic Church's new Pope, Francis.
• The 76-year-old from Buenos Aires is the first non-European pope in the modern era.
• His election has been welcomed by millions of Catholics worldwide, particularly in South America.
• World and religious leaders congratulated the new pope.
• Bergoglio is also the first Jesuit to be pontiff.
• He is the first pope to take the name Francis.
[...]
He then concluded:

Tomorrow I want to go to pray to the Madonna so that she protects all of Rome. Good night and have a good rest.

Comment:
I was interested in Pope Francis praying for protection... I am sure he knows about the prophecies... A lot of people are trying to reconcile Pope Francis with the Prophecy of the Popes... There is a lot of rubbish but I was impressed with the following

BERG (German)..........Mountain
GOGLIO (Italian).......Pride

Pride of the mountain / Pride of the rock & The main Jesuit church is in Rome...
From Tom Horn's website:

RNN NOTE: That Bergoglio--the final Pope on St. Malachy's list and the one prophesied to reign over the church as it enters the Great Tribulation period--named himself after Saint Francis of Assisi is intriguing given that shortly before his death Assisi prophesied that at the time of the tribulation a man would "be raised to the Pontificate, who, by his cunning, will endeavor to draw many into error and death… Some preachers will keep silence about the truth, and others will trample it under foot and deny it…for in those days Jesus Christ will send them not a true Pastor, but a destroyer” [Works of the Seraphic Father St. Francis of Assisi (1182–1226), Washbourne, 1882 AD, 248].

Furthermore, in naming himself after Assisi, Bergoglio branded himself after an Italian (Roman) priest whose original name was Francesco di Pietro (Peter) di Bernardone -- literally, Peter the Roman.

Why Picking Bergoglio Was A Great Tactic For The Catholic Church
Business Insider, 13th March 2013
The selection of Jorge Mario Bergoglio of Argentina has surprised a lot of people — few observers had even listed him as a favorite. But he is a tactical choice from the papal conclave, may help to meld the Catholic church's past with its present.

Bergoglio, or Pope Francis, as he will now be known, is the first pope from the "New World". He breaks a tradition of European popes.

That's a big deal. According to recent research from Pew, 40 percent of the world's Catholics live in Latin America, and 72 percent of Latin America consider themselves Catholic. They're very much the real present of the church, and possibly its future too.

Comment:
Bergoglio, or Pope Francis, as he will now be known, is the first pope from the "New World"...... I think this is quite a clever choice... "A New World pope for a New World Age"... BUT he is a Jesuit (Roman Catholic elite taskforce) and as some have already pointed out, he will be strongly aligned with the Jesuit Leader who is commonly known as the Black Pope.... It is like electing someone trained by the CIA to become President... I hope he kicks some backsides... As most blog readers will know, I don't have many kind words for the Roman Catholic Church hierarchy, but in today's world, many of the Catholic priests, bishops and cardinals' act like they have utter contempt for the religion that they are supposed to be promoting... i.e. they can't even keep up a good pretense.... In terms of promoting the business of religion, there is simply just too many glaring inconsistencies... Maybe, some of the more intelligent cardinals realise that by allowing the most sociopathic to run riot, they are jeopardising the role of the whole Church. It would be like the Mafia bosses being forced to deal with members who have become a liability..... Whatever, we will have to see what happens next.

Report: Cardinal Sodano used term 'world order' in crucial homily
The Moynihan Letters, 13th March 2013

[...] Below is a link to a website where I read a curious comment from a reader. The reader says that the official text of the homily of Cardinal Sodano today is incorrect, in that it omits two words that Sodano actually spoke when he gave the homily. What were those two words? The commenter says they were: “world order” (“ordine mondiale“).

Here is the comment in Italian:

Strano, il testo ufficiale dell` omelia del card. Sodano non corrisponde a ciò che ha detto in Basilica, e che ho ascoltato, le parole ‘ordine mondiale,’ che del resto mi avevano colpita e lasciata estereffatta, sono sparite.” ["Strange, the official text of the homily of Cardinal Sodano does not correspond to what he said in the Basilica, and what I myself heard, the words 'world order,' which moreover struck me and left me terrified, have disappeared."]

Link: http://paparatzinger6blograffaella.blogspot.it/2013/03/oggi-sodano-otto-anni-fa-ratzinger-i.html

Then, as I continued to read the Italian press, I came across an Italian journalist who also heard the same thing, and then published it this way:

Gli ultimi Pontefici sono stati artefici di tante iniziative benefiche anche verso i popoli e la comunità internazionale, promovendo senza sosta la giustizia e la pace e l’ordine mondiale – ha proseguito Sodano – preghiamo perché il futuro Papa possa continuare quest’incessante opera a livello mondiale“.

In other words, writing his article, this journalist had quoted Sodano’s speech with those two words included — even though those words are not in the official text distributed by the Vatican. He did this, evidently, because he heard the words. Here is a link to that report: http://www.tmnews.it/web/sezioni/top10/20130312_120746.shtml

Curious, I wondered: Did Sodano use those words, or not?

Just a little question, really. What had he actually said?

So, I started looking at videos of the homily.

And I found that, yes, it was true. Sodano did use those words. Here is the video of the homily: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0qxeanIVU2c

  • Cardinals showing 'feistiness'
    LA Times, 12th March 2013
Not weighed down by the force of grief and mourning, the 115 cardinals gathered here to pick Benedict's replacement have shown an unusual feistiness, an inquisitiveness that was not seen the last time around and that has drawn out proceedings and scrambled candidacies for the successor. Surely there is much to discuss, from scandals involving sexual abuse to allegations of money laundering by the Vatican bank.

Cardinals delivered more than 150 speeches in 10 pre-conclave meetings, known as congregations. When the final session concluded Monday, there were still several prelates who had signed up to speak but were cut off because time had run out, Vatican spokesman Father Federico Lombardi said.

That glimpse inside the congregations offered further evidence that the cardinals have been thrown for a loop by Benedict's stunning resignation. They also apparently feel more free to speak their mind: The solemnity that the 2005 funeral and attendant Masses infused in the atmosphere is absent in 2013.

Shape-Shifting Jesus Described in Ancient Egyptian Text
Live Science News, 12th March 2013
A newly deciphered Egyptian text, dating back almost 1,200 years, tells part of the crucifixion story of Jesus with apocryphal plot twists, some of which have never been seen before.

Written in the Coptic language, the ancient text tells of Pontius Pilate, the judge who authorized Jesus' crucifixion, having dinner with Jesus before his crucifixion and offering to sacrifice his own son in the place of Jesus. It also explains why Judas used a kiss, specifically, to betray Jesus — because Jesus had the ability to change shape, according to the text — and it puts the day of the arrest of Jesus on Tuesday evening rather than Thursday evening, something that contravenes the Easter timeline.

Comment:
I just think this is just another example of the factory output of stories about Jesus before decisions were made about the 'proper' narrative. I imagine that this version was rejected and ended up on a scrap heap somewhere to be discovered 1,200 years later and used to confuse the ignoranti... However, the 'shape-shifting' is really a reference to the ability to make yourself invisible, something that witches and magicians are supposed to be able to do and as some have already pointed out, there is an 'accepted' version of this in the New Testament, Luke 24:13-33, where disciples fail to recognise Jesus on the road to Emmaus. Black smoke signals no pope elected at first conclave vote [Photos]
Reuters News, 12th March 2013
Thick black smoke billowed into the night sky from the Sistine Chapel's chimney on Tuesday, signaling an inconclusive first vote in the conclave to elect a new pope at a time of strife and scandal for the Roman Catholic Church.

Thousands of faithful huddled in St. Peter's Square to watch the smoke pour out of the narrow flue in the rain-laden gloom following a day rich in ritual and pageantry.

After praying for divine guidance, the red-hatted cardinals took a solemn vow, in Latin, never to divulge any details of their deliberations. They then secluded themselves behind the chapel's heavy wooden doors.

    The Independent, 11th March 2013
A day ahead of the papal conclave, faces at the scandal-struck Vatican were even redder than usual after it emerged that the Holy See had purchased a €23 million (£21 million) share of a Rome apartment block that houses Europe’s biggest gay sauna.

The senior Vatican figure sweating the most due to the unlikely proximity of the gay Europa Multiclub is probably Cardinal Ivan Dias, the head of the Congregation for Evangelisation of Peoples, who is due to participate in tomorrow’s election at the Sistine Chapel.

This 76-year-old “prince of the church” enjoys a 12-room apartment on the first-floor of the imposing palazzo, at 2 Via Carducci, just yards from the ground floor entrance to the steamy flesh pot. There are 18 other Vatican apartments in the block, many of which house priests.

The Holy See is still reeling from allegations that the previous pontiff, Benedict XVI, had quit in reaction to the presence of a gay cabal in the curia.

And with disgraced Scottish cardinal Keith O’Brien lending new weight to charges of hypocrisy against the Church’s stance on homosexuality, La Repubblica newspaper noted that the presence of “Italy’s best known gay sauna in the premises is an embarrassment”.

  • Dark financial clouds hang over Vatican
    CBS News, 11th March 2013
[...] The Vatican is more than the world's largest religious institution -- it's a business. It is also a business in trouble. Behind great ecclesiastical pageants, like former Pope Benedict's farewell, there are back-room financial scandals at Vatican Inc.

In an old stone tower, in Vatican City, is the Vatican Bank. The church's various departments, its priests and employees keep accounts here; secret accounts, hidden from the prying eyes international regulators. An Italian court investigating the bank found documents showing some accounts had been used for money-laundering and other illegal -- and for the church, highly embarrassing -- activities.

Vatican watchers, like Marco Politi, have studied the court documents that verified the bank's transactions have not always been kosher.

"There was money of the mafia who was recycled through the channels of the Vatican Bank, and also bribe money to political parties in Italy went through the Vatican Bank," Politi said.

Their role in the ongoing enabling and concealment of rape and child sex crimes throughout the world is so central that they were named in a Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR) complaint to the International Criminal Court (ICC). On behalf of SNAP, CCR has urged the ICC to investigate high-level Vatican officials – including Pope Benedict himself – for crimes against humanity. With more than 22,000 pages of supporting materials and evidence of the crimes committed by Catholic clergy and their cover-up, the ICC complaint is an unprecedented effort to call to account individuals leading the systematic effort to sweep sex abuse under the rug. * Child abuse protester dressed in cardinal's robes mingles with priests and shakes hands outside meeting room
* Guards noticed several dress malfunctions and removed him from Vatican
* Today 103 cardinals arrived in Vatican to choose the date to select next pope
* Conclave decision is delayed until all 115 cardinals are present

An imposter dressed as a cardinal sneaked into the Vatican today to try to take part in the talks to elect the next pope - and was only rumbled when security guards noticed his robes were too short.

The child abuse protester, calling himself 'Basilius', shook hands with his 'fellow cardinals' and made it as far as the square outside the Paul VI audience hall before he was caught and taken away.

The security breach came as 103 real cardinals arrived in Rome to start the meeting that will choose when the pope is elected. The decision will be delayed because 12 cardinals have still not arrived.

Comment:
I think 'imposters' and protestors are the reason the Vatican wants to start the conclave early because there are big plans to occupy the Vatican and other churches to make a big point about the routine sex abuse of children... The prophecies say not all the kings will be in Rome before the judgement (see the quote below), so I imagine some are holding their breadth...

[...] A new judicial mechanism is needed: one that does not reduce the law to the expedient tool of the powerful, but which enshrines justice for the helpless by becoming a weapon in the hands of victims everywhere. In that knowledge and spirit, we have set up an International Common Law Court of Justice that will inspire many other such courts in communities around the world. Already, we have posted online the evidence and arguments of our Prosecutor's Office, which is seeking the indictment of the officers of church and state responsible for the legal genocide of aboriginal children across Canada.

Vatican accused of cover up over Cardinal Keith O'Brien's 'sexual conduct'
The Telegraph, 4th March 2013
An association of victims of sex abuse by clergy said there were many cardinals who had covered up sexual abuse by priests. "It might sound extreme but we suspect most of the cardinals to be complicit in covering up predator priests. Crises have erupted in country after country and the pattern is always the same," David Clohessy of Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests or SNAP, said. "Their presence in Rome rubs salt into the wounds of betrayed Catholics and suffering victims. It sends precisely the wrong message – that you can engage in wrongdoing but you won't face any consequences. They should voluntarily go home."

Barbara Blaine, the president of the organisation, said: "What other phrase could describe what is happening other than cover-up? There is a cloud hanging over the whole conclave."

Updated: There must be huge libraries concerning the scandals of the Vatican church... Based on information from insiders, some believe that things went seriously wrong in 1963 and the implications are that the Vatican has been in the 'End Times' since Pope Paul VI's reign, see The List of Pope's With Reference to The Malachy Prophecy. In fact, Pope Paul VI realised that something was very wrong and referred to ‘the smoke of Satan which has entered the Sanctuary’. It seems that the power behind the throne is where the real diabolical action lies and that the Catholic Church hierarchy has been infested with demons for five decades, but quite frankly looking at the history of the Church, is this just business as usual? Whatever, based on what we now know, 2012 is the official End of an Astrological Age. Unfortunately, it really does seem like some are almost complicit by promoting the wrong agenda, all this talk of 'this is coming next' without suggesting there could be anything else.... Whatever, some must be very worried as asteroids appear as if from nowhere and reports of meteors are now daily... This is a Petrus Romanus - The Final Pope is Here” quote:
The prophecy in the Zohar, given by Jews hundreds of years separate from the divination of “the last pope,” is amazing when compared with the Catholic prediction. The final pope, “Peter the Roman,” whose reign ends in the destruction of Rome, will assume authority during a time of great tribulation, and then “the city of seven hills will be destroyed, and the terrible and fearsome Judge will judge his people.” But Dr. Church pointed out how in the Jewish Zohar, this vision of the destruction of Rome is repeated, though one prophecy connects it to the coming of the False Prophet, and the other, the Antichrist:
This ancient rabbinical dissertation claims that Rome will be destroyed in the Jewish calendar year 5773, which, in our calendar begins with the new moon of September 2012 and concludes a year later:

“In the year seventy-three [2012/2013] the kings of the world will assemble in the great city of Rome, and the Holy One will shower on them fire and hail and meteoric stones until they are all destroyed, with the exception of those who will not yet have arrived there.”

Is he hinting at the destruction of Mystery Babylon? He notes that not all kings will be destroyed. Of those remaining, he says: “These will commence anew to make other wars. From that time the Messiah will begin to declare himself, and round him there will be gathered many nations and many hosts from the uttermost ends of the earth.”[i]
Thus the false messiah (antichrist) is predicted in a seven-hundred-year-old Jewish prophecy to appear in 2012. Similarly, the nine-hundred-year-old Prophecy of the Popes looks to be unfolding in parallel fashion to provide Petrus Romanus in 2012. To these, we could add numerous other strange attractors from throughout history that also assigned apocalyptic importance to the year 2012, including:

It really does make you wonder about accusations that certain unqualified 'scholars' were promoted amongst the dumbed down New Age mileu because it was known they had got this quite wrong...

Exo-Vaticana: Examining Rome’s Great Harlot Status
Logos Apologia, 3rd March 2013
An associate of Popes John Paul II and Benedict XVI who is considered one of the most important Catholic theologians of the twentieth century, Hans Urs von Balthasar, wrote a provocative essay, “Casta Meretrix,” (“Chaste Harlot”) that not only identified the Roman Catholic Church as the Great Harlot, but embraced it:
The figure of the prostitute [forma meretricis] is so appropriate for the Church…that it…defines the Church of the New Covenant in her most splendid mystery of salvation. The fact that the Synagogue left the Holy Land to go and be among the pagans was an infidelity of Jerusalem, the fact that “she opened her legs in every road in the world.”

But this same movement, which brings her to all the peoples, is the mission of the Church. She must unite and merge herself with every people, and this new apostolic form of union cannot be avoided.

While the embrace of whoredom is astonishing, the convicting words of prophecy, “Come out of her, my people, That ye be not partakers of her sins, And that ye receive not of her plagues” (Revelation 18:4), seem to forecast such apostasy. In sharp relief, Paul’s letter to the Ephesians implies that Christ’s “Bride” is the body of believers who comprise the universal Christian Church (?????s?a “called-out ones”). The one’s called out in order, “That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish” (Ephesians 5:27). The stage is set for the judgment of the harlot as predicted in Revelation and the prophecy of Saint Malachy. In Exo-Vaticana we suggest a scenario for why the world will be enticed to unite under this Great Harlot spearheaded by Rome.

Comment:
I have just finished reading Petrus Romanus - The Final Pope is Here by Tom Horn & Chris Putnam and I think there is a slight problem. Making a big song and dance about the Prophecy of the Popes forced out into the open that hundreds of years ago, theologians both Catholics and non Catholics (including Jewish priests) were aware that 2012 had been calculated to be the END OF AN AGE, see Petrus Romanus, the Antichrist, and the Years 2012 & 2016 & Petrus Romanus – Historicism Back to the Future Part 3. Interestingly, there is also a curious lack of discussion about the return of Christ but lots and lots of talk about the end of the Catholic Church, the destruction of Rome, anti-christs and demons. Sigh! I think these 'scholars' have missed the point. Roman Catholicism is a hybrid religion partly based on an ancient religion that was devised by ancient astronomer-priests. The Prophecy of the Popes was presumably used to make sure the reign of the popes had an average pontificate to match a 11-year solar cycle and point to a particular year. What has been preserved is for their benefit and certainly not for the good of mankind... Horn & Putnam agree with the French Jesuit Rene Thibaut that Saint Malachy was probably not the true author and The Prophecy of the Popes was from an ancient Irish source, but does this really mean Celtic/Druid sources? For anyone who knows anything about this subject, an ancient Celtic/Druid source makes a lot more sense... The whole 2012 Mayan Apocalypse whoopla pales into insignificance in comparison to what this really all means, especially as we have a BIG RED COMET loose in our solar system and we can be assured that initiates would have prepared adequately for any ensuing cosmic conflagration.

Were Early Christians Really Persecuted? Historian Reveals the Surprising Truth.
A new book says under the Roman empire, "Christians were never the victims of sustained, targeted persecution."
AlterNet, 28th February 2013
Moss, professor of New Testament and early Christianity at the University of Notre Dame, challenges some of the most hallowed legends of the religion when she questions what she calls “the Sunday school narrative of a church of martyrs, of Christians huddled in catacombs out of fear, meeting in secret to avoid arrest and mercilessly thrown to lions merely for their religious beliefs.” None of that, she maintains, is true. In the 300 years between the death of Jesus and the conversion of the Emperor Constantine, there were maybe 10 or 12 scattered years during which Christians were singled out for supression by Rome’s imperial authorities, and even then the enforcement of such initiatives was haphazard — lackadaisical in many regions, although harsh in others. “Christians were never,” Moss writes, “the victims of sustained, targeted persecution.”

Benedict XVI resignation: The two-pope problem
BBC News, 28th February 2013
Electing an antipope?

[...] Two distinguished Italian theologians have called on Benedict XVI to withdraw his resignation, one arguing he ought not to resign, the other claiming a pope cannot resign.

In the latter case, when the cardinals proceed to elect a successor they are, according to Enrico Maria Radaelli, electing an antipope, an impostor on the chair of St Peter.

There are those in the Church who well might exploit such ambiguities were the new pontiff to choose a very different path from that of his predecessor on, for example, the role of women in the Church or - rather less contentious - the promotion of the traditional Latin liturgy.

And outside the Church, a schismatic group called the Society of St Pius X has long been on the verge of declaring a "sede vacante", of claiming that the pope was not a legitimate successor St Peter because he had accepted the teachings - as they do not - of the Second Vatican Council of the early 1960s.

Benedict laboured hard to bring them back into the Catholic Church, far too hard in the eyes of some, but finally failed.

Comment:
An antipope is strictly defined as someone who is elected pope in opposition to another person who is held to be canonically elected. So, is this what the St Malachy prophecy might have meant all along, or at least we have an engineered scenario to fit a prophecy? I wonder whether despite the long time old ambitions for the Vatican to be the head of the Universal Church on this planet headquartered in Jerusalem, due to the noticeable shift to a higher level of consciousness on this planet, we actually see the Catholic Church split and a massive fight for assets ensue... Papabile on World Government
Para Political News, 28th February 2013
With today’s departure of Benedict XVI from Rome to Castel Gandolfo, attention now turns to the selection of a new sovereign for the Vatican City. Among the papabili is Ghana’s Peter Turkson, the 64 year-old cardinal who serves as President of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace. Irish bookmaking site Paddy Power has Turkson the betting favorite to be the next Successor of the Prince of the Apostles.

Comment:
So the 'Harlot' who likes to spread her legs thinks we should have a one world government and a universal church which consists of a hierarchy of depraved hypocrites in the Vatican? Well, I don't think so... So, the issue is that we are now at a turning point. Whether the vast majority of ignoranti realise it or not, this is the End of An Age and world controllers are maintaining their ancient traditions and are now changing the myths for the rabble to accomodoate the changing energy on this plane, hence the media hype about change, New pope must rebrand church. For those who don't know, it seems the astrotheologians in the Vatican are acknowledging that we have moved from the dispensation of Pisces to Aquarius and it seems 2012 was the right end-date for the shift.

Pope's final address: God was asleep on my watch
Pope Benedict XVI gave an emotional farewell speech to tens of thousands of faithful in St Peter’s Square, saying there were times during his eight-year papacy “when it seemed that the Lord was sleeping.”
Telegraph, 27th February 2013
A day before he becomes the first pontiff to resign in nearly 600 years, Benedict acknowledged that his papacy had been rocked by “rough seas”, in an oblique reference to paedophile priest sex scandals, controversy swirling around the Vatican bank and the theft of confidential papers by his butler.

He said that by resigning he was not “coming down from the cross” — an apparent rebuke to some members of the Church, including a Polish cardinal, who contrasted his decision to resign with the dogged determination of John Paul II, his predecessor, to remain in office despite his deteriorating health.

Life Site News, 26th February 2013
KRAKOW, February 26, 2013, (LifeSiteNews.com) - A recent paper by a Ph.D. priest from Poland has been circling the globe in recent weeks and given heightened prominence by the recent revelations of a Vatican inquiry into a “gay mafia” inside the Vatican. “Standing with the Pope against homoheresy,” was written in late 2012 by Fr. Dariusz Oko, Ph.D., a priest of the Archdiocese of Krakow and Assistant Professor at the John Paul II Pontifical University in Krakow.

Fr. Oko notes that his discovery of a “huge homosexual underground in the Church” came from his work in philosophical criticism of homosexual propaganda and ideology, a study he was encouraged to undertake by various bishops and cardinals.

“I began my work as a struggle against a deadly, external threat to Christianity, but then gradually discovered,” he said, that “the enemy is not only outside the Church, but within it, as well,”

Tom Horn - Hour 1 - Papal Resignation, Petrus Romanus & Exo Vaticana
Red Ice Radio, 21st February 2013
Thomas Horn is an internationally recognized lecturer, radio host and bestselling author of several books including his newest books, Petrus Romanus: The Final Pope Is Here. He returns to Red Ice to discuss the recent abdication of Pope Benedict the 16th and the prophecy of the final pope, "Peter the Roman," whose reign would end in the destruction of Rome.

The pope of lists from St. Malachy's heralds the beginning of "great apostasy" followed by "great tribulation" sets the stage for the imminent unfolding of apocalyptic events. According to this prophecy, the next pope will be a false prophet who leads the world's religious communities into embracing a political leader known as Antichrist. We’ll discuss the reformation of the Catholic Church and how, whoever seats the throne of the papacy, might take a more active part in the disclosure of the reality of extra-terrestrial life.

In the member’s hour, we discuss UFO sightings, Rome, Astrotheology and who ET’s really are. Will it be as Arthur C. Clarke portrayed in Childhood's End where ET’s will be part of the cleanup crew to save us and restore order after disastrous events have occurred? If so, how participatory is the Vatican is in this potential plan? Are they passive onlookers, or are their intricately involved in the planning and revealing of the post ET world?

Comment:
Tom Horn does not acknowledge that Christianity is a continuation of ancient astronomical based religion(s) combined with many aspects of various mystery religions. There is plenty of scholarship that lays this out and he is a scholar so he should know. You simply cannot be educated about the birth of Christianity without realising that Jesus Christ was a name applied to a god who was given the same attributes as a previous long list of saviours, see the online book Symbolism in Relation to Religion 1915 pg 307 by James Ballan Hannay, List of Sons of God, Messiahs, Saviours Born of a Virgin to Save Mankind . So, this is not just about the Harlot Catholic Church applying a standard religious business model to control the masses through religion [listen to this first hour where Tom Horn quotes a Catholic theologian who celebrates the harlotry and writes about the Catholic Church 'spreading her legs' to evangelise every nation on the Earth... (47:00 - 51:00). Unflippin' believable....], but I suppose Tom Horn realises this and he does not want to cut his own throat with the faithful remnant of simple Christian believers who keep buying his books... Whatever, I still think he is doing a great job because basic Christianity can accomodate true mystics who seek 'Christ' which I believe is not a person but a personification of a spirit or energy level of truth. Tom Horn writes in his book Petrus Romanus 'The Highest expression of love is grounded in truth.' Personally, I believe that if people valued truth, this world would be a much better place...

Catholic Church in turmoil as Cardinal Keith O'Brien announces resignation amid claims of 'inappropriate conduct'

The Catholic Church in Britain was in turmoil today following the resignation of its most senior cleric, Cardinal Keith O'Brien, amid allegations of "inappropriate" conduct. Vatileaks: Pope to ask Commission of Cardinals to tell Conclave members the truth
Vatican Insider, 22nd February 2013
The Pope will thank the three cardinals from the Vatileaks inquiry Commission in a meeting next week. Meanwhile, the Holy See is denying that this case is what drove the Pope to resign

The cardinals who will elect the new Pope in the forthcoming Conclave are to be given further information on the Vatileaks scandal. At the beginning of next week, before he leaves for Castel Gandolfo on Thursday afternoon, Benedict XVI will meet with the three eighty-year old cardinals (Julian Herranz, Josef Tomko and Salvatore De Giorgi) who were put in charge of gathering information on the Vatican confidential document leak. The Pope will apparently authorise them to divulge the contents of their report - which has remained confidential under the code of papal secrecy - to cardinals during the general congregations on 1 March.

Comment:

According to various Italian reporters (vaticanistas), on the 1st March, the release of the “Relationem” report of will expose the “influentiam,” or blackmail in Latin... I think we can expect fireworks and possibly some real gunfire if the prophecies hold true. Please note; we are awaiting an event where someone we think might be the current Pope has to climb over a lot of dead bodies to try and escape and it looks like this will be happening at least figuratively very soon.

Secret Sex Scandal Report Behind Pope Resignation?
Discovery News, 21st February 2013
Pope Benedict XVI’s abrupt resignation was prompted by a secret report revealing sex and graft scandals inside the Vatican, according to the Italian daily La Repubblica. “The Pope decided to step down the week before Christmas,” the newspaper wrote.

ANALYSIS: Rumors Swirl Amid Pope’s Resignation

Relying on an unnamed Vatican source, La Repubblica revealed that on December 17 three cardinals presented the pontiff with the “Relationem,” a 300-page report which investigated allegations brought up last year by the so-called Vatileaks scandal. Last autumn Benedict’s butler, Paolo Gabriele, was found guilty of having stolen confidential documents from the papal apartment. Commissioned by Benedict himself, the report was prepared by Cardinals Julian Herranz, Salvatore De Giorgi and Josef Tomko, the former chief of the Vatican’s secret services.

ANALYSIS: Resigning Pope Brings Doomsday Prophecy

The Relationem, consisting of two red, leatherbound volumes, contained the “exact map of the mischief and the bad fish” inside the Holy See, according to La Repubblica. “It all revolves around the breach of the sixth and seventh commandments,” the newspaper quoted its source, a man described as being very close to the three authors of the report.

See, Vatican hit by gay sex scandal; Vatican chorister sacked for allegedly procuring male prostitutes for papal gentleman-in-waiting (March, 2010). Quite frankly, that is just business as usual at the Vatican... I think there is something far worse about to be revealed like the highest officials in the Vatican are being blackmailed... What amazes me is that the Vatican think they have any credibility left to lead a Universal Church... Why do people think a bunch of old time corrupti are worth paying attention to? The Italian newspaper said that the report shocked Pope Benedict and contributed to his decision to resign.

  • Did A Cross-Dressing Priest Sex Ring Bring Down Benedict XVI?
The Daily Beast, 22nd February 2013
Transcript: Former Catholic Priest Matthew Fox on Ratzinger, Opus Dei and the Broken Catholic Church
Oped News, 20th February 2013
Rob Kall: [...] My guest tonight is Matthew Fox. He's the author of thirty [30] books on culture and spirituality, and he's co-directing a three-year workshop series on The Cosmic Christ with Andrew Harvey. He's got a book that he published last year called The Pope's War; and we're talking about Pope Ratzinger, and Pope John Paul II, and Liberation Theology, and the idea that the Catholic Church is going through some major changes.
[...]
Rob Kall: OK. Well let me slow you down and get you to give a little more details on a couple of things you said. You described him as "Bringing back the Inquisition." What do mean by that?

Matthew Fox: That he fired all the Theologians, and he hounded them; like in my case, he expelled me from the Dominican Order, of which I'd been a member for 34 years, and he silenced me for a year, and then expelled me three years after that. Father Boff, the most read theologian in Latin America, he hounded him, silenced him, and then, Boff quit the Franciscans, of which he was a member for many years. The most read Catholic Theologian in Germany was a psychologist Priest, Eugene Drewermann; and he hounded him, and kicked him out of the Priesthood. So, that's what the Inquisition means, you're not free to think! They spread fear. The three of us were the most read Theologians on our Continent, and all of us were expelled, one way or the other; and so they spread fear to other Catholic thinkers. You know: "Don't think too much, and just stay in line."

Rob Kall: When you say "Schism," what does that mean? It's a word you hear but, what does it.. ?
[...]
Matthew Fox: It's a loaded word. I mean, it's a heavy word in theological history. For example, when the Eastern Church split from the Western Church, that was called Schism; and Protestantism splitting from Roman Catholicism, that was called Schism in the 16th Century. It's a big word historically, and for me to say... I'm not alone in this. Father Schillebeeckx, the great Dutch Theologian, I spoke to 15 years ago, (he's dead now, he was a big thinker at the Vatican Council), he told me, he said "I and many European Theologians," this is under John Paul II, "feel the present Papacy is in Schism." And that conversation really came back to me when I was writing this book on Ratzinger, and I realized "Well, this helps name what has been going on." The Vatican is not really preaching the Gospel or even the Catholic tradition. They've gone their own spin, their own route out of Vatican II, and are trying to create this church based exclusively on Ratzinger's catechism, and obedience to whatever the Pope says, the implication being "We don't need Theologians, we don't need thinkers." That's why they've silenced so many. And I will say, that's not very smart.
[...]
Rob Kall: One thing I've wondered: is it possible for there to be a Catholic Church, a Catholic Religion, that is bottom up as compared to the ultra-hierarchical system that begins with the Pope?

Matthew Fox: That's a great question, and that's really what I concluded in my book on the Pope. It's that I think the Holy Spirit has been at work destroying the Catholic Church as we know it. That is to say, exactly how you're identifying the top down thing. It's just lost all credibility. This horrible revelation of, not just the Priestly Pedophilia, but the coverup of the priestly pedophilia by hierarchy; like Cardinal Law, like the Pope, and like Cardinal Mahony now. All this coverup, that's the real crime. To think people at the top, the CEOs so to speak, would act on this this out of moral necessity, but they didn't. They swept [it] under the rug to protect the institution.
[...]
So, I think the Holy Spirit is at work deconstructing the Church as we know it, and that's why the last third of my book on the Pope is "Where do we go from here?" Hey, it's wide open! Since the Vatican is in Schism, we're free to ordain women, ordain gays, bring back married Priests; just start things over again, keep it simple. Don't travel with basilicas on your back, a backpack is enough; the Gospels, the Prophets, the martyrs, the mystics, we are all part of that story, and we can move forward now, much, much, much, much lighter. And I think that's what the younger generation is looking for: a much lighter version. As I say: spirituality? Yes. Religion? I don't think we need so much of that.

Comment:
I can't believe I am writing this but this article is a breath of fresh air... We are being clearly told that many Catholics have seen the light and don't want anything to do with the scumbags in the Vatican and the young are refusing to have anything to do with a bunch of paedophiles... I think that is Good News.... But quite frankly, it's not just the sickos in the Vatican, world leaders in general appear to be trying to maintain some horrible fantasy of their own creation and can't understand why many are not impressed and don't want to be involved in their stupid psychopathic fantasies...
  • Transcript Part II: Former Catholic Priest Matthew Fox on Ratzinger, Opus Dei and the Broken Catholic Church
    Oped News, 20th February 2013
Matthew Fox: [..] I mean, the real issues are not about Popes, the real issues are about the survival of the planet for God's sake! You know, these are the Spiritual issues of our time, and of course, melting our war machine into real work for real people. There's so much unemployment in the world, when there's so much work that needs doing and so forth, it makes no sense. Humans have to wake up. That's what has to happen, and a healthy church would be leading the way in that, it wouldn't be narcissistically preoccupied with it's own make believe heroes, idols. "Papalolatry," I call it. [...] It's about survival, the sacredness of creation, for example. The whole environmental issue. Meditation, calming that reptilian brain that we have. All religions teach how to do these things. [...] Compassion: the Dalai Lama says "we can do away with all religions, but we can't do away with compassion. Compassion is my religion." Well, cool! That's what Jesus said too: " Be you compassionate as your Creator in heaven is compassionate." So, there is a consensus out there that's at the heart of our religion.
    [...]
Rob Kall: [...] Now, Matthew, you just talked about how people are leaving because the church is top down and so Patriarchal. I've come to believe for many years that Conservatism, the Right wing, it is anti-feminine. Not just anti-women as we learned in the last Presidential election, but it opposes the whole idea of the feminine archetype. Have thoughts on that?

Matthew Fox: Absolutely. As I say, what does the Taliban, the Vatican, and Pat Robertson [each word said stressing the last syllable as "ahn"] all have in common? It's this rabid fear of the feminine. And of course, the idea of the Divine Feminine is absolutely sends them out the window. So this is a great insight to realize to realize that this is what the real battle is about. It's this balance of Yin and Yang, of the masculine and the feminine, of the Divine Feminine and the Sacred Masculine.

This is really where a lot of the struggle is being played out, and this is why you'll have the Vatican beating up on women. Now they're coming after the sisters! I mean, how you can come after Catholic Sisters (laughs), who've devoted their whole life to working the front line, to the poor, and educating, and working in inner cities, and all the rest; it's hard to fathom, especially when this very church has been covering up priestly pedophilia for decades. But you realize, just what you're talking about, that the drive to control women is behind so much of Fundamentalism.

    Comment:
Hmmm... So much of this is all so interesting because we have a theologian telling us about mythmaking... Religious academics creating myths to teach simple people some basic truths... that is how it has always been... Well, it is a pleasure to find someone who actually sees The Big Picture and I don't care about the fact he calls himself a Catholic... Update: I have been thinking a bit more about Catholics teaching about the Cosmic Christ... I wonder if this is some cross fertilisation from the ideas presented in the book The Phenomenon of Man (1959) by Pierre Teilhard de Chardin (1881-1955). He was a French Jesuit priest, geologist and palaeontologist, but some believe he was primarily a Christian mystic. He refered to "Christic Energy" and the "Cosmic Christ" in this book and from what I understand, I think he got the process of cosmic energy driving evolutionary change essentially correct. Here is my Special Comment The Phenomenon of Man (1959) by Pierre Teilhard de Chardin
Benedict XVI prays penultimate Angelus: “The time of testing is here, let us focus on God again”
Vatican Insider, 17th February 2013

Comment:
Updated: The faithful are being warned.... Of most interest here is the quote, “The time of testing is here. We must not use God for our own ends.” Can you believe El Corruptus Pope (sorry about my bad Latin) had the nerve to admonish people not to use God for their own ends.... Words fail... Well, based on the fact the Vatican have been closely watching an object in space, I think we can surmise that Comet C/2012/S1 (Comet ISON) is the Red Comet and the panic is that it will greatly disturb the Sun and we could get some severe space weather. Why do I think this? Well, for lots and lots of reasons... So, as part of my duties it time to re-introduce James McCanney a maverick scientist who has been robbed and maligned concerning his 30+ year old theories about comets, http://www.jmccanneyscience.com. NASA ET AL. HATES MCCANNEY BUT THE FEELING IS MUTUAL... Not so strangely, James McCanney has been talking about Comet ISON since September 2012 but in November 2012 he started talking about THE RED HAND OF DEATH and quoting scripture, see James McCanney: Comet C/2012 S1 (ISON) Sub- page ... In fact he has been doing his radio shows and comparing the arrival of COMET ISON TO THE PASSOVER... Oh yes, it is time to get very religious because THE BIBLE IS A DOCUMENT THAT WAS DESIGNED TO PRESERVE IMPORTANT ANCIENT ASTRONOMICAL EVENTS AND FUTURE PREDICTIONS. He is even quoting Nostradamus and the death of a Pope... Whatever, this entry is for those who are interested in what the Pope is really pontificating about and how that relates to concerns about why the impact of space weather could get very very serious for the citizens of planet Earth. For those who want to understand the major issue of highly electrical comets in our solar system causing havoc, I can recommend my e-book, The Electrotechnics of the Heavens.

Pope will have security, immunity by remaining in the Vatican
Reuters, 15th February 2013

(Reuters) - Pope Benedict's decision to live in the Vatican after he resigns will provide him with security and privacy. It will also offer legal protection from any attempt to prosecute him in connection with sexual abuse cases around the world, Church sources and legal experts say.

"His continued presence in the Vatican is necessary, otherwise he might be defenseless. He wouldn't have his immunity, his prerogatives, his security, if he is anywhere else," said one Vatican official, speaking on condition of anonymity.

"It is absolutely necessary" that he stays in the Vatican, said the source, adding that Benedict should have a "dignified existence" in his remaining years.

Comment:
So it's true, if the Pope leaves the Vatican, he will be arrested for crimes against humanity and criminal conspiracy... OH MY GOD.... If people turn up at the Vatican and St Peter's trying to occupy and seize church property (see more below) then the Vatican guards could start shooting... I have been to the Vatican museums and it is filled with loot stolen over the centuries... all hell could break out... Well, the UK Queen Elizabeth is scheduled to visit Joseph Ratzinger, aka Pope Benedict XV1 on the 6th of March, I am sure she will arrive with a small army of secret service men with her because things are looking very dangerous at the Vatican... The time is up... It's game over.
  • Pope Benedict to seek immunity and protection from Italian President Giorgio Napolitano on February 23
    itccs.org, 14th February 2013
International Tribunal calls on Napolitano to "not collude in criminality", and announces global campaign to occupy Vatican property and launch human rights inquiry in Italy

Rome (9 am local time): Pope Benedict, Joseph Ratzinger, has scheduled a meeting with Italian President Giorgio Napolitano for Saturday, February 23 to discuss securing protection and immunity from prosecution from the Italian government, according to Italian media sources.

Ratzinger's meeting follows upon the apparent receipt by the Vatican of a diplomatic note from an undisclosed European government on February 4, stating its intention to issue an arrest warrant for Ratzinger, who resigned from his pontificate less than a week later.

    Comment:
At the moment we don't know which country has issued the arrest warrant, but I suspect it is Ireland who are determined to get $1.84 billion from the criminals at the Vatican... My recommendation is this country needs to take a small army and go storm the Vatican musuems. I have visited the museums, so I know they have many priceless relics that have been looted from many countries over the centuries that the super-rich would be more than willing to pay high prices for...

  • Roman Church admits the Pope’s Guilt: Joseph Ratzinger to Evade Justice and Hide out in the Vatican for his own legal immunity and “protection”
    itccs.org, 16th February 2013
An Urgent Update from the International Tribunal into Crimes of Church and State (ITCCS) – Brussels

Rome: In a statement to Reuters today, Vatican officials announced that Joseph Ratzinger will remain a permanent resident of Vatican City after his resignation. Doing so will offer him legal protection from any attempt to prosecute him in connection with sexual abuse cases around the world, Church sources said today

"His continued presence in the Vatican is necessary, otherwise he might be defenseless".

This startling admission of guilt by the church is also a direct obstruction of justice, and lends more weight to the charge by the ITCCS and others that the Vatican has arranged with the Italian government to shield Ratzinger from criminal prosecution, in violation of international laws ratified by Italy. [...]

In response, the ITCCS calls upon its affiliates and all people of conscience to use our upcoming Easter Reclamation Campaign to converge on Rome and the Vatican to force the extradition of Ratzinger from Vatican City, and place him and his accessories on trial for crimes against humanity.

Commencing Sunday, March 24, 2013, our activists and others will begin an escalating series of Catholic church occupations and seizures of church property to bring about Ratzinger's extradition and reclaim stolen wealth from the criminal corporation known as Vatican Inc. – in the name of the legion of their victims, both living and dead.

I think with all the publicity, there might be quite a few rent-a-mob type turning up in Rome...
Resigning Pope Brings Doomsday Prophecy
Discovery News, 13th February 2013
Is the world only a Pope away from the End? Yes, if you believe a chilling 12th-century prophecy.

Attributed to St. Malachy, an Irish archbishop canonized in 1190, the Prophecy of the Popes would date to 1139. The document predicted that there would be only 112 more popes before the Last Judgment — and Benedict XVI is 111.

The list of popes originated from a vision Malachy said he received from God when he was in Rome, reporting on his diocese to Pope Innocent II.

  • WHEN LIGHTNING STRIKES: SOMETIMES IT IS SIMPLE ENERGY IN THE AIR AND SOMETIMES PERHAPS SOMETHING ELSE
    Spirit Daily, February 2013
[...] A hoax? Well, anything is possible. Experts believe it's real. It was taken by a legitimate professional Agence France Press news photographer. What's a bit spooky, said one meteorologist,, Jesse Ferrell, is "that it doesn't appear from a Google Image Search that a similar image has ever been captured before...." [...]

Still, when there is lightning, there is something about it that seems unsettling and sometimes as a warning. Many things are astir. A Pope is "resigning" for the first time in six centuries -- a Pope who took the name "Benedict," as in the saint who battled evil. In a letter on the same February 11, 2013, naming a special envoy to a solemn celebration of the World Day of the Sick, Benedict included the term "Mary, mediatrix of all graces" -- a title that is used very sparingly by pontiffs and is often attached in the minds of many Catholic faithful with potential declaration of a new dogma, one that they feel would herald major events in the world (a dogma that, up to now, Benedict has long resisted, and may still; we do not yet know). It comes when astronomers expect to see a highly visible comet, which may even appear during the conclave announcing a new Pope. Some believe the next Pope will be the last in this particular era. Time will tell.

    Comment:
Spiritdaily.com is a leading Catholic website and Catholics are very spooked at the moment. I don't have time to write an essay on a manmade religion where events on Earth are tied to events in the heavens and events in the heavens are used as signs and portents to kick start political moves on Earth, but that is the evidence we have. The reason for paying attention to Christian/Catholic scholars is because they will at least highlight some of the logic being used... The point here is Catholics are already expecting a major change of dogma... So, the attempt to kickstart a NEW WORLD AGE with an ET Christ foisted on the world with the backing of the Catholic Church is looking less and less preposterous...

Comment: Amongst this long 3 hour radio show, Tom Horn talks about the significance of 'signs' to Catholics, especially how they will interprete the arrival of ' The Comet of the Century' with the election of a new Pope and the belief in the arrival of the anti-Christ.. It is obvious to me that there are certain things that are based on foreknowledge used to dazzle ignoranti religious followers and some things that are true mysteries and beyond human control... Some would argue that powers and principalities are also having their say... Whatever, listen to Torn Horn for his opinion, 33:30 - 40:20. I am gaining more respect for Tom Horn becomes he is in effect decoding the theology of the astronomer-priests... He is not talking about the arrival of a blood and flesh Christ figure and I suspect he does know that Christ in the Bible truly represents a spiritual energy level and NOT a person... I am not going to write a long essay at this moment, but I think Horn has already nailed the practical implications of what anti-Christ really means and anyone interested needs to focus on Tom Horns interest in Transhumanism. Tom Horn points out the fact that prophecies, some that are over 900 and 700 years old are now being fulfilled and he points out the link with the 2012 hoopla! 01:22:00 - 01:29:30.

Pope Benedict resigned to avoid arrest, seizure of church wealth by Easter
itccs.org, 13th February 2013

* Diplomatic Note was issued to Vatican just prior to his resignation * New Pope and Catholic clergy face indictment and arrest as "Easter Reclamation" plan continues * A Global Media Release and Statement from The International Tribunal into Crimes of Church and State

Brussels: The historically unprecedented resignation of Joseph Ratzinger as Pope this week was compelled by an upcoming action by a European government to issue an arrest warrant against Ratzinger and a public lien against Vatican property and assets by Easter.

The ITCCS Central Office in Brussels is compelled by Pope Benedict's sudden abdication to disclose the following details:

1. On Friday, February 1, 2013, on the basis of evidence supplied by our affiliated Common Law Court of Justice (itccs.org), our Office concluded an agreement with representatives of a European nation and its courts to secure an arrest warrant against Joseph Ratzinger, aka Pope Benedict, for crimes against humanity and ordering a criminal conspiracy.

2. This arrest warrant was to be delivered to the office of the "Holy See" in Rome on Friday, February 15, 2013. It allowed the nation in question to detain Ratzinger as a suspect in a crime if he entered its sovereign territory.

3. A diplomatic note was issued by the said nation's government to the Vatican's Secretary of State, Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, on Monday, February 4, 2013, informing Bertone of the impending arrest warrant and inviting his office to comply. No reply to this note was received from Cardinal Bertone or his office; but six days later, Pope Benedict resigned.

Comment:
I have no idea how serious this is, but it serves to focus attention on the criminal activity of the so-called 'Holy' Catholic Church.

  • As Vatican watchers are well aware, due to the institutionalized nature of Catholic Church's rampant criminal activity, the problems at the Vatican are enormous. see Pope Leaves Financial Disarray in His Wake (February 2013). This is linked to the recent Vatileaks Scandal (June 2012) with the Pope's butler was arrested and convicted of stealing private correspondence and sparking a money laundering investigation into the former president of the Vatican bank, see Transparency vs. Money Laundering: Catholic Church Fears Growing Vatican Bank Scandal (july 2012). This is nothing new, just the latest scandal over shady bank accounts and millions in suspect transfers (corruption and money-laundering). For those who are uneducated in the long history of corruption at the Vatican, the notorious Vatican Bank found worldwide fame in the early 1980s, when it was implicated in the collapse of the Italian Ambrosiano bank, but the flames of suspicion turned into a bonfire when in 1982, the chairman Roberto Calvi, nicknamed “God’s banker,” was mysteriously found dead, hanging from Blackfriars Bridge in London, see Who killed Calvi? Reopening the inquiry into the 'suicide' of 'God's banker' has exposed links with the mafia, masons and Vatican fraud, writes Nick Mathiason (May 2003) & Mafia boss breaks silence over Roberto Calvi killing: Godfather turned supergrass accused of murder of 'God's banker' claims case will never be solved (May 2012). Calvi's mafioso style death (note the location BLACK FRIAR), was originally ruled a suicide, but in 1991, was later judged to be murder, another Vatican cardinal was also believed to have been involved.
  • The stench of mafioso activity also appears amongst other more legitimate businesses, but some have been pointing out the hypocrisy with the revelation that the Catholic Church owned "Weltbild," Germany’s largest media company, that sells books, DVDs, music and porn... see, Catholic Church Makes A Fortune In The German Porn Business (October 2011) & Catholic Church Owns Billion-Dollar German Media Firm Selling Porn (Augst 2012). It took 10 years of campaigning before the Church would even acknowledge this slight oversight of owning or having large stakes in a selection of big media companies selling erotica, but so far, these business ventures have not been disposed of yet.
  • We all know about the current hatred for the Church because of their persistance in covering up priests and cardinals molesting children and nuns. The New York Times reported in September 2011, that human rights lawyers and victims of clergy sexual abuse have filed a complaint at the International Criminal Court in The Hague to investigate and prosecute Pope Benedict XVI and three top Vatican officials for crimes against humanity for what they described as abetting and covering up the rape and sexual assault of children by priests, see Abuse Victims Ask Court to Prosecute the Vatican (September 2011) . The Irish government want $1.84 billion dollars to compensate child abuse victims and they want to seize church property to get the cash, see Irish Catholic Church unable to foot $1.84 billion abuse bill (April 2012).... but, it was still a new low when there was the very nasty accusation by the Catholic Church's leading exorcist priest that a missing schoolgirl had been, kidnapped, abused and then killed by his own church brethren. See Missing girl 'buried in murdered mobster's tomb was kidnapped for Vatican sex parties', claims Catholic Church's leading exorcist priest (May 2012). Based on this and other collaborating information, a mobster's diamond encrusted tomb alongside other high and mighty church villains was opened and authorities found a horrible stench and some unidentified bones, presumably this was the body of the missing girl that had not been embalmed.
  • To add to the drain of Church finances, Italy are now demanding that the villains in the Vatican to pay property tax, the revenue is expected to be 500 million to 2 billion euros annually across the country, see Catholic church to lose historic property tax exemption in Italy (October 2012)

There are numerous websites available that point out just how dark the darkness really is amongst these institutionalized monsters, even Pope Benedict put out a final tweet that stated, 'we are all sinners' link, but these guys are in their own league. If you really want to know all the implications of the shenanigans at the Vatican, there are plenty of sources. Due to my life long interest in the Catholic Church and my discovery that they have perpetrated a religion based on astronomy, what is happening now is of great interest. The occultists in the Vatican are absolutely paranoid about The End Times (the end of a major astronomical cycle based on the precession of the equinoxes) because they have been warned they are in for the chop, and as they are in so much trouble, I think they are desperate enough to take great risks. Thus the intention of introducing a new ET Christian narrative based on some half-truths and lies (same as usual) in order to save the clergy and the Church from an almighty demise. But there are a few major obstacles to negotiate like the Fatima 3rd prophecy where we are told a bishop in white will be climbing over piles of dead clergy bodies at an important church event where most of Rome is destroyed. The current interpretation is there is going to be a mega terrorist attack in Rome, but this is based on the view of people who have studied the 25 lines of the 62 lines of the third Secret of Fatima prophecy that the Church will release. Combined with a quote from Revelations about 'The End Times' and the appearance of a Red Dragon and a third of the stars being cast down (Tom Horn says there is standard Catholic theology that interpretes/decodes 'the stars' as being the clergy), so it seems they really don't like the implications of what they have been told. Whether the world wants to believe in these prophecies is irrelevant, the Catholic laity believe it and Vatican psychopaths have their own unique perspective on reality and they do believe in signs and portents. So, I believe the plan is to move the headquarters of the church to Jerusalem and negotiate themselves to be the head of a worldwide church... To me, this sounds like the standard fantasy thinking of malignant narcissists... If there is a major wipeout of church leaders, I think the reaction will be rejoicing across the world... The Pope got quite a lot of vitriol on Twitter after the news of his resignation, so I simply can't see a mandate based on a 9/11 copy event to harness world sympathy, but.... the Vatican are in league with lots of other very powerful world leaders and the general public are generally stupid... Whatever, all the signs are we are waiting for a major 'event' whether manmade or divine in origin, but I hope it helps to finally destroy 'The Harlot' Catholic Church. It's good riddance from me... Update: Read the online book version of Petrus Romanus by Tom Horn & Chris Putnum Petrus Romanus: The Final Pope Is Here - Part 4. It seems that even one Pope BEFORE the Marian apparitions at Fatima (1917) had the same vision! See Petrus Romanus: The Final Pope Is Here - Part 4.

A sign from above? Lightning strikes Vatican hours after Pope's shock resignation
The lightning touched the roof of St. Peter's Basilica, one of the holiest Catholic churches, hours after Benedict XVI's shock announcement
    The Mirror, 11th February 2013
This was the moment lightning struck the Vatican today - hours after Pope Benedict XVI's bolt-from-the-blue resignation.

The lightning touched the dome of St. Peter's Basilica, one of the holiest Catholic churches, after the Pope's shock admission he lacks strength to do the job.

The Vatican stressed that no specific medical condition prompted Benedict's decision to quit - the first pontiff to do so in 600 years.

    Comment:
I am sure this will be taken seriously as another sign of doom for the Catholic Church. Well, I think it is worth adding a reminder for those who are unfamiliar with my work and who don't realise the significance of the sheenanigans in the Catholic Church. Briefly, various prophecies over centuries have all declared the Catholic Church will be finished at the End of the Age or when the Holy Spirit arrives to "judge" humanity, but the Church has already been warned they are going to get their own select destruction. For those who are new to my research and beliefs I will repeat a general principle that I think explains the fear about human destruction. From my new FAQ page:
The influx of cosmic energy seems to have a function of re-balancing human consciousness and behaviour. This can be compared to the discoveries made by ecologists and biologists where during periods of evolutionary change, any negative and malignant force that has sprung up and poses a threat to a harmonious ecosystem, becomes subject to elimination. Simply, at times of great environmental stress, the agents of stress are eliminated to restore balance. This is well explained by biologist Bruce Lipton during an interview with Laura Lee in 2004, where Lipton explains new scientific evidence provided in the journal Nature, suggests that Darwin was wrong and it is not survival of the fittest, it is what the community of organisms contribute to a well functioning ecosystem environment that matters. Lipton states that, “evolution is selected by complementarity to the environment, organisms that push the environment to extremes are ultimately eliminated from the environment”. So, what humanity fails to comprehend is that this seems to apply on a planet-wide scale. Today it is recognised that humans are having a negative impact on this planet, but traditionally, the threat of judgement by a deity for human indiscretions in general, was used by religious leaders to help apply control over other humans, it was not necessarily about encouraging higher levels of consciousness. FAQ: What is the “Planetary Refresh” and what does it have to do with Space Weather?
We will not even bother going into the indiscretions of the Catholic Church but the abuse of their position over the centuries has been well documented. The Vatican know that they are top on the list for a removal because they have been told over and over again over by various prophets. So, this takes me to my Planetary Challenges report and someone at the White House who writes speeches, annoying the Vatican by pointing out the fact that their time is nearly up... There was nothing subtle about pointing out the beliefs of a Gioacchino da Fiore, or Joachim of Fiore (1135 – 1202). This is the relevant quote:
Finally on a more philosophical note, it is not unreasonable to suppose that the Obama Administration have already made the connection between “planetary challenges” and the arrival of a New World Age. In this regard, it is has been widely reported that in March 2009, Father Raniero Cantalamessa, (preacher to the Pontifical Household), put out a curious statement highlighting the displeasure of the Vatican, that President Obama had positively referenced a heretic three times during his presidential electioneering campaign. President Obama is accused of claiming to be inspired by Gioacchino da Fiore, or Joachim of Fiore (1135 – 1202), an Italian mystic, theologian, and philosopher of history, who Obama referred to as a “master of contemporary civilisation” and “inspiring a better world”. F12 The intrigue is that Gioacchino is remembered for his scholarly treatises that were unified by their apocalyptic tenor. F13 Interestingly, from his study of the Bible, specifically the book of Revelations and ancient esoteric knowledge, Gioacchino believed that there would come an apocalyptic crisis and a “New Age of the Holy Spirit” where the church would not be required and mankind would reach a higher level of spiritual understanding. It is the belief of the author and outlined in this Citizen Summary, that we are fast approaching a ‘New World Age’ dominated by Space Weather as denoted by the scientific community or ‘The Holy Spirit’ in Christian terms. What’s more, it is impossible to believe that this is not understood by the Vatican Church who possesses the biggest esoteric and historical archives in the world.

Source: Planetary Challenges & Spiritual Evolution: Summary For Citizens of Planet Earth, (June 2011)
This is why I have little respect for those in the New Age community teaching that a transformation of this world is going to come about by promoting being ignorant and narcissistic.... Crap like "The Law of Attraction" etc etc. Quite frankly, running little cults is not the same as encouraging the spiritual evolution of humanity because that is all Universal Consciousness is interested in seeing at the End Times when energy is provided for a bit of cosmic housekeeping.... Whatever, the secret passed down over millenia by various religious/metaphysical/estoeric/indigenous groups is that at certain points in major astronomical cycles, the whole of humanity is under evolutionary selection but it has nothing to do with Darwinism and the survival of the fittest. Personally, I think there will be a severe depopulation of this planet, Paradise is coming but only for a few human descendents that can meet the tough new spiritual criteria.

      Comment:
Updated: According to Reuters, Pope Benedict XVI is going to Castel Gandolfol, the old Vatican Observatory that in Jan 2008 was being reported as being dismantled. However, I have checked the website and it looks like it is still operational... Now, I don't know if we were being told the complete truth but Castel Gandolfo is also suppose to be a summer palace/residence for the Pope, but they do say timing is everything... Seriously, as we have some big comets on the way and a huge chunk of rock that presumably with have an entourage of rocks ready to drop... Asteroid 2012 DA14 is coming so close on February 15th, that it threatens to take out communication satellites, at the same time the Pope is leaving Rome that some believe will be destroyed by a meteorite, (see my archives with the Tom Horn Red Ice interview where he repeats this belief by many religious scholars who are avidly watching the machinations at the Vatican). The Malachy prophecy states that the last Pope will 'occupy' the position and so this implies that the last pope is only in a temporary position.... The person in occupation is now Tarcisio Pietro Evasio Bertone who was born in Romano Canavese, so we have to ask: is this the prophesised Peter the Roman? The intrigue... This opens up a whole can of worms after the revelations about the Pope being 'assassinated'. This was reported in the mainstream news, see the detail provided by the UK Telegraph, in Feb 2012, The Pope will die within a year: Vatican 'assassination fears' revealed: The Pope will die within the next 12 months, a senior Vatican figure has reportedly claimed amid fears of an assassination plot. . In fact, in December 2011, a report was written for the Pope Benedict a month after Cardinal Romeo, the archbishop of Palermo in Sicily, during a visit to China predicted his death within 12 months. Cardinal Romeo remarks were expressed with such certainty and resolution that the people he was speaking to were shocked and alarmed and thought an attack on the Pope's life was being planned. The whole story is now breathtaking, but the article also tells us that Pope Benedict could not stand Tarcisio Bertone, his Secretary of State and the Vatican's second most senior figure and that there was a bitter power struggle going on within the Holy See. The conspiracy theorists are likely to have a field day especially now a psychic is predicting the arrival of a 'Red Comet'.... the Red Dragon of the book of Revelations? This is all now getting surreal... Update: Tom Horn thinks something is coming in that can only be seen in the infra-red and that it is being watched by a conglomerate of NASA & Vatican astronomers at Mount Graham, Tucson, Arizona with the “Large Binocular Telescope Near-infrared Utility with Camera and Integral Field Unit for Extragalactic Research,”(“L.U.C.I.F.E.R.”) Bingo!

Pope Benedict XVI's resignation may lead to first black pope, Cardinal Peter Turkson
The Roman Catholic Cardinal from Ghana and current president of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace is a source of pride in his home country. Says Archbishop Gabriel Charles Palmer-Buckle, metropolitan archbishop of Accra, the current capital of Ghana, 'For Ghanaians he was our first cardinal, and to be made cardinal in his 50s was a big feather in our cap.'
NY Daily News, 11th February 2013
With Pope Benedict XVI's bombshell announcement Monday that he plans to step down, all eyes are on his potential successors, including one that may become the first black pope: Cardinal Peter Turkson.

The Roman Catholic Cardinal from Ghana, the current president of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace, is among the leading candidates to assume the title of pontiff as it is rumored the Vatican may look outside Europe for its next leader.[...]

Bookmaker Paddy Power has odds of Turkson becoming the pope at 3-1 — a prediction that is not entirely out of the blue for the cardinal, who acknowledged the possibility of a black pope in a press conference in 2009.

"Why not?" Turkson said, arguing that when you agree to become a priest, you must be open to the idea of becoming a Pope. "All of that is part of the package."

Turkson added that the time was especially ripe given the election of President Barack Obama. "And now it is Obama of the United States," he said. "And if by divine providence — because the church belongs to God — if God would wish to see a black man also as Pope, thanks be to God."

    Comment:
Personally, I don't care what colour the skin is, or what they profess... I will watch, but you will not see me celebrating any new Pope... even if it is the last.
    • Cardinal Peter Turkson Causes Uproar With 'Muslim Scare' Video At Vatican
      Huffington Post, 16th October 2012
(Reuters) - A Roman Catholic cardinal has caused an uproar at the Vatican by screening a spurious YouTube video that makes alarmist predictions about the growth of Islam in Europe.

The seven-minute clip, called "Muslim Demographics," was the talk of an international gathering of bishops on Monday, two days after Cardinal Peter Turkson screened it during a free discussion period.

Turkson, a Ghanaian who is based in the Vatican and is president of its Council for Justice and Peace, sparked consternation among his fellow bishops over the clip.

So, maybe some conspiracy theorists are right that the next Pope will be a warmonger...

Pope Benedict XVI resigns due to age and declining health
Pontiff, 85, who has arthritis, says he will step down on 28 February after nearly eight years as head of Catholic church
    The Guardian, 11th February 2013
Pope Benedict XVI surprised the world and left the Catholic church stunned when he said on Monday that he would resign – the first pope to do so since the middle ages. The move, announced without warning, will take place on 28 February and leave the papacy vacant until a successor is chosen.

A Vatican spokesman said Benedict's aides were "incredulous" when he told them he would step down because he was too weak to fulfil his duties. He summoned a meeting of cardinals to tell them of "a decision of great importance for the life of the church".

One of those called to hear the announcement, the Mexican prelate Monsignor Oscar Sanchez, said none of the cardinals had expected it. "The pope took a sheet of paper and read from it. He just said that he was resigning and that he would be finishing on February 28," he said.

    Comment:
Major News! Popes don't resign, they usually prefer to die reigning as Pope... Apparently, the last time there was a resignation, it occurred in the Middle Ages, Pope Gregory XII in 1415. I wonder, I wonder... Due to some prophecies, the Vatican are terrified they are going to get a hit in Rome by an asteroid. It seems they don't fancy their chances in a time of evolutionary change when Universal Consciousness has the opportunity to deal with a malingering negative and malignant force amongst humanity... I look forward to the opinion of religious scholar Tom Horn, who I consider to be a first class Vatican watcher. Amongst others, Horn believes there will be just one more Pope before the end of the Catholic Church in its current form... I think we should expect some incredible news and events in the near future....
    • Papal Prophecies - The End of Religion
      Crystalinks.com
Saint Malachy (1094 - November 2, 1148) was known as great prophet. While in Rome in 1139 he received a vision showing him all the Popes from his day to the end of time. According to these prophecies, only two Popes remaining after John Paul II.

St. Malachy was reported to have possessed the powers of levitation, healing, and clairvoyance. While on his way to the Vatican to assume the post of papal legate for Ireland, he fell into trance and saw a line of papal reigns stretching from the successor to Innocent II and extending through centuries to the last of the line, identified as Peter of Rome. Malachy assigned short descriptions in Latin to each pope when he committed his vision to paper. These mottoes usually refer to a family name, birthplace, coat-of-arms, or office held before election to the papacy. Some of the phrases are multiple prophecies, written with ingenious word play.

Through the centuries, his prophecies have turned out to be amazingly accurate, even prophesying the date of his death. In all, 112 popes and their characteristics are listed from 1143 to the alleged end of the world, or perhaps religion as we know it, when truth is inlay revealed about human creation and destiny. [...]

The 112th prophesy states: "In the final persecution of the Holy Roman Church there will reign Petrus Romanus, who will feed his flock amid many tribulations; after which the seven-hilled city will be destroyed and the dreadful Judge will judge the people. The End."

    • Bookmakers offer odds on papal contenders, including African cardinals and Bono
      Washington Post, 11th February 2013

LONDON — Bookmakers have been quick to offer odds on candidates to replace Pope Benedict XVI, with cardinals from Ghana, Nigeria and Canada among the early favorites. Ghana’s Cardinal Peter Turkson, Canada’s Cardinal Marc Ouellet and Cardinal Francis Arinze of Nigeria lead in betting with Britain’s major bookmakers.

William Hill made Turkson — one of the highest-ranking African cardinals at the Vatican — its 3/1 favorite Monday, followed by Ouellet at 7/2 and Arinze at 4/1. Ladbrokes also had Turkson as favorite, followed by Arinze and Ouellet. Ireland’s Paddy Power also offered short odds on the three, as well as long odds on unlikely candidates — including U2 singer Bono at 1,000/1. It also offered 1,000/1 odds on Father Dougal Maguire, the simpleminded fictional priest from 1990s U.K. sitcom “Father Ted.”

I suppose Father Jack is out of the question? Father Dougal Maguire it is, as Father Ted is already dead..... So funny...

Wealth gap, debt top risks ahead of Davos
    Reuters, 8th January 2013
Bringing together business leaders, politicians and central bankers, Davos has come to symbolize the modern globalised world dominated by successful multinational corporations.

Chief executives arriving on their private jets may still ooze confidence but "Davos man" - and most delegates are male - has plenty to worry about these days. [...]

Outside the interlinked areas of the environment and the economy, the WEF identified other dangers, including increasing resistance of bacteria to antibiotics and the danger of "digital wildfires" created by the rapid spread of misinformation online.

More outlandish risks, dubbed "X-Factors," include the rogue deployment of geo-engineering to counter climate change, for example by injecting particles into the stratosphere, or the discovery of alien life, which would challenge many assumptions underpinning religion.

    Comment:
Even Reuters reported the X Factors but it nearly slipped under the radar....
    • Catholic archbishop of Ireland, Diarmuid Martin to talk about X Factors
      Irish Independent, 26th January 2013
[...] The archbishop (who has attended more Davos meetings than any other Irishman since his days in the Vatican) will talk on 'X factors; preparing for the unknown'.

      Comment:
I took the liberty of changing the headline.... But of course, the Vatican would send a representative to Davos 2013 to talk about X Factors and we can only presume archbishop of Ireland, Diarmuid Martin is specifically there to talk about the ET X Factor.... Please remember, it was only last month we found out that the US media were directly reporting UFOs to the Vatican... Even I was amazed that it was reported in such a matter of fact manner... Anyway, Vatican astronomers make a clear distinction between ETs and Shadow Life. Ufologists want the disclosure of ETs and that generally means two-legged humanoids that are similar to humans. Shadow Life is what I have referred to as the Shadow Biosphere on this planet but I presume a plasma based lifeform would be ubiquitous in the universe and would be the primordial and original form of life in the universe. As author Phillip Pullman brilliantly describes it in the trilogy, His Dark Materials see, Book Review: His Dark Materials , these are the first beings that condensed out of the aether... The Vatican have always known about the existence of 'The gods' and historical and religious literature are teeming with references. I have already provided some astonishing references on this blog and latecomers will need to do some work. The problem is that the two tier system of knowledge has historically preserved certain knowledge for the elite and initiated. Today we have the ignorant and arrogant masses (the rabble) who are most certainly oblivious to why the Vatican are preparing for extraterrestrial disclosure. Check out my archives, I have provided some important answers over and over again.

    • Vatican prepares for extraterrestrial disclosure
      Exopolitics Examiner, 12th November 2009
The Vatican sponsored astrobiology conference was a landmark event. It showed that the Vatican was willing to officially sanction public discussions on the existence of extraterrestrial life. More significantly, it showed that the Vatican was willing to initiate a comprehensive dialogue on the theological implications of the discovery of intelligent extraterrestrial life. The Vatican’s astrobiology conference is yet one more sign that major global institutions are preparing for some kind of formal disclosure concerning UFOs and/or extraterrestrial life. This is a direct outcome of a series of landmark meetings at the UN beginning in February 2008 that led to the adoption of a new openness policy.

Jesus was born years earlier than thought, claims Pope
    The Telegraph, 21st November 2012
The 'mistake' was made by a sixth century monk known as Dionysius Exiguus or in English Dennis the Small, the 85-year-old pontiff claims in the book 'Jesus of Nazareth: The Infancy Narratives', published on Wednesday.

"The calculation of the beginning of our calendar – based on the birth of Jesus – was made by Dionysius Exiguus, who made a mistake in his calculations by several years," the Pope writes in the book, which went on sale around the world with an initial print run of a million copies.

"The actual date of Jesus's birth was several years before." The assertion that the Christian calendar is based on a false premise is not new – many historians believe that Christ was born sometime between 7BC and 2BC.

    Comment:
For those of us that realise that there has historically been a two-tier religious system of astronomer-priests (those in the know) and then the rest of the rabble, the Pope confessing that the Christian calendars are not accurate is interesting news... Today, there are some good websites that lay out the astronomy of the Christian narrative in fairly simply detail, but I want to know why this is considered as important news now... Btw, this is not the biggest discrepancy found with the Christian calendar... See Wikipedia Phantom time hypothesis for more details.

    Pope dismisses December doomsday
Sydney Morning Herald, 19th November 2012
Pope Benedict XVI has called on Christians not to heed doomsday warnings that the world will end on December 21. During his weekly Angelus address from the window of his Vatican apartments on St Peter’s Square, Benedict spoke of extracts from the Bible that speak of ‘‘the sun and moon going out, the stars falling from the sky’’.

Several films and documentaries have promoted the idea that the ancient Mayan calendar predicts that doomsday is next month, on December 21, 2012. But Benedict said that Jesus ‘‘does not describe the end of the world, and when he uses apocalyptic images, he is not acting the prophet’’.

Damage Control: Vatican Accuses Media of "imitating Dan Brown"
    Irish Times, 18th June 2012
A senior Vatican official has accused the media of trying "to imitate Dan Brown" in their coverage of the so-called VatiLeaks scandal and said the Roman Catholic Church's latest travails were part of attempts to destabilise it.

The interview with Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, who ranks second only to Pope Benedict in the Vatican's hierarchy, was the latest attempt at damage control by senior Vatican officials since the leaks scandal began in January.

In a rare interview with the Italian Catholic magazine Famiglia Cristiana, Dr Bertone, the Vatican's secretary of state, accused the media of "intentionally ignoring" the good things the church does while dwelling on scandals.[Yes, but the scandal is really bad........]

"Many journalists are playing the game of trying to imitate Dan Brown," said Dr Bertone, referring to the best-selling author of novels such as The Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons."They (journalists) continue to invent fairytales and repeat legends."

    Comment:
What a nerve! The media talking about the old sleaze.... I personally think the media (outside of Italy) has been very kind when you consider the amount of current sleaze coming from the 'holy' men of the Catholic Church, when that is bad enough... As it is, people are waiting for bodies to start appearing under bridges.... Whatever, I really don't think the Vatican should get into a fight with the media.... The Final Battles of Pope Benedict XVI
    Exhausted in the Vatican
    De Spiegel, 15th June 2012
The mood at the Vatican is apocalyptic. Pope Benedict XVI seems tired, and both unable and unwilling to seize the reins amid fierce infighting and scandal. While Vatican insiders jockey for power and speculate on his successor, Joseph Ratzinger has withdrawn to focus on his still-ambiguous legacy.

[...] It's a completely different apparition of the Virgin Mary that has pulled the Vatican and the Catholic Church into a new crisis, whose end and impact can only be surmised: the appearance of a source in the heart of the Church, a conspiracy against the pope and a leak code-named "Maria."

Since the end of May, the pope's former butler, Paolo Gabriele, has been detained in a 35-square-meter (377-square-foot) cell at the Vatican, with a window but no TV. Using the code name "Maria," he allegedly smuggled faxes and letters out of the pope's private quarters. But it remains unclear who was directing him to do so.

Even with Gabriele's arrest, the leak still hasn't been plugged. More documents were released to the public last week, documents intended primarily to damage two close associates of Pope Benedict XVI: his private secretary, Georg Gänswein, and Cardinal Secretary of State Tarcisio Bertone, the Vatican's top administrator. According to one document, "hundreds" of other secret documents would be published if Gänswein and Bertone weren't "kicked out of the Vatican." "This is blackmail," says Vatican expert Marco Politi. "It's like threatening total war."

    Comment:
So..... the Pope is being blackmailed.... I wonder how he is coping with the stress.... This is an interesting few paragraphs:
A "reform of the Curia" is probably a contradiction in terms. Its hierarchical, essentially medieval organizational model is incompatible with modern management. The Vatican is an anachronistic, albeit surprisingly tenacious system, in which pecking orders and an absurd penchant for secrecy and intrigue prevail. "The only important thing is proximity to the monarch," says a member of a cardinal's staff. Rome works like an absolutist court, one in which decisions are made by people whispering things into the others' ears rather than by committees. "There are many vain people here, people in sharp competition with one another," the staff member adds.

"Who spoke with whom, and for how long? What did they talk about? Who attends early Mass with whom, and who invites whom to dinner? Who's in and who's out? Who belongs and who doesn't, and who's coming into favor and who's falling out of it? "This mood fosters feelings of exclusion, discrimination, envy, revenge and resentment," the monsignor says. And all things have now appeared in the so-called Vatileaks documents."
This just reminds me of all the small minded people who are oblivious to anything outside of their little narcissistic world... The cosmic environment is changing drastically but most are too small minded (and/or dumb) to realise there are massive implications for the future of mankind.... Well, I am still hoping to find a few with some class and quality who would be interested in working with me to make a difference. I don't need hangers-on at this stage in my life, as I have been saying for a long time now, I am looking for some serious quality in my life, people who can see the Big Picture and make a difference.

No respite for pope as more documents leaked
    Reuters, 3rd June 2012
[...] But in its Sunday edition, the Rome newspaper La Repubblica published documents it said it had received anonymously after the arrest of the pope's butler on May 23.

A note received by the newspaper said there were "hundreds more" documents and that the butler, Paolo Gabriele, was just a scapegoat.

The furore over the leaked correspondence, which shows power-hungry cardinals and scheming within the walls of the city state, has gripped the Vatican just as it was recovering from a long-running scandal over sexual abuse by Roman Catholic priests in the United States, Ireland and other countries.

    Comment:
Well, I am sure there are experts watching this commotion who are very familiar with all the twists and turns of the snakes at the Vatican. I realise that these leaked documents must be part of machinations by the 'Red Hat' cardinals but it seems the imminent demise of this organisation is being hastened by the general climate of intolerance for a religious organisation that proclaims what spirtuality is supposed to be about, but then does the complete opposite as part of their normal business practices...

Tom Horn - Hour 1 - Petrus Romanus: The Final Pope
Red Ice Radio, 22nd May 2012
Thomas Horn is an internationally recognized lecturer, radio host and bestselling author of several books including his newest books, Petrus Romanus: The Final Pope Is Here. He is a well-known columnist who has been interviewed by US Congressmen and Senators on his findings as well as featured repeatedly in major media. Thomas received the highest degree honorary doctorate bestowed in 2007 from legendary professor Dr. I.D.E. Thomas for his research into ancient history. He returns to Red Ice to discuss Petrus Romanus. For more than 800 years scholars have pointed to the dark augury having to do with "the last Pope."

    Comment:
The following comments are for those who visit this website who are interested in understanding more of reality... Ancient astronomer priests liberally symbolised/anthropomorphised astronomical phenomena which formed the basis of their religion and the return of Christ is the return of Christ or crystalline ENERGY... Tom Horn can even see the similaries between ancient Mayan text with Roman Catholic sources... they are similar because the origins are the same.... So, here we are being told about the destruction of the Roman Catholic Church possibly by a meteorite.... associated with the return of Christ.... seriously how hard is this to work out? We are now in an interstellar debris field with thousands of asteroids that NASA cannot track, we can only pray that the prophecies are all true and there is an asteroid with the name of some very evil people on it.... Some of this interview by Tom Horn is complete nonsense (gibberish) without understanding that ancient text were describing astronomical events and phenomena that affects life on Earth and even human spirituality. Surely, Tom Horn must realise this? Horn even tells us about the average reign of a pope as being 11 years and then tells us that a Jesuit scholar worked out the date 2012 by taking into account solar cycles amongst other calculations .... surely, this is not that difficult to understand what is going on there.... Btw he talks about the Return of the gods... Yes, the 'gods' are back and associated plasma phenomena that have been called 'gods' and that is why UFO reports are rising dramatically and there are continuous reports of 'weird' things being seen in the sky.... The Return of Christ is about life in a high energy plasma environment, where things can get quite turbulent depending on human consciousness... So of course, all the talk of judgement is about how this high level energy interacts with whatever it meets on Earth, where human consciousness has some impact on what happens and that is the spiritual side to what this is all about... It has been up to us whether we get 'judgement', but of course spiritual 'leaders' have not exactly been helpful teaching people that the Return of Christ is not a person but a massive deluge of energy that can bring destruction or something wonderful for the evolution of humanity... I can only presume that most spiritual leaders have not realised what this is all about or else a little bit more self preservation might have influenced their thinking... Whatever, the key to understanding all this is realising that this is all about astronomy and cosmic cycles, the basis of the world's original religion. In Part II for subscriber's only, after about 25 minutes they start discussing the Vatican 'Lucifer' telescope.... and the Vatican's interest in the Return of the gods and the presence of extraterrestrial life... Horn even quotes the Queen's astronomer Lord Martin Rees concerning other forms of life that humans don't realise may be staring us in the face.... What about huge and small balls of plasma floating about? Seriously, how many more clues do people want...

Jesuits and Vatican Behind Naming Lucifer Telescope
    Artic Beacon, 11th May 2010

    Update

Thomas Horn and his co-author Cris Putnam in the last few years seem to have produced the most useful, important and significant research concerning 2012. Most importantly, they have clearly identified and proven the link between the upper echelons of the Vatican -- those who are really in the know in the Catholic Church (Christendom) -- with ancient beliefs about the importance of knowing about ancient astronomical cycles that affect all life on Earth. What's more, Horn et al. link the Vatican with indigenous beliefs (Mayan, Aztec etc) with those in the highest levels of Freemasonry who also understand and respect these ancient beliefs, hence this is why the Aztec calendar Sun Stone was copied and place in an important location in Washington D.C. as a reminder that there are some things that should not be ignored or forgotten. See previous comment here 2012: The American Founding Fathers Knew. Therefore, it is worth highlighting two major issues in this discussion.
    1. The Return of Christ ENERGY is a problem for the Vatican because it seems to have a function of re-balancing human consciousness amongst many other functions. Any negative and malignant force that has sprung up that impacts on the growth and evolution of human consciousness and poses a threat to humanity is therefore set for elimination. A direct comparison can be made here with ecosystems and what happens at times of great environmental stress when the agents of stress are eliminated to restore balance. This is briefly but well explained by biologist Bruce Lipton during an interview with Laura Lee in 2004, where Lipton explains new scientific evidence provided in the journal Nature, that suggests Darwin was wrong and it is not survival of the fittest, it is what the community of organisms contribute to a well functioning ecosystem environment. Bruce Lipton states that "evolution is selected by complementarity to the environment, organisms that push the environment to extremes are ultimately eliminated from the environment", see Bruce Lipton - DNA & The Environment 3of4. Hence the reason the Vatican insiders who know these ultra truths are terrified because their 'type' has seen destruction over and over again on this spiritual school called planet Earth. Why do you think the Vatican has its own state-of-the-art astronomical observatories and sends out astronomer priests like (Brother)(Dr) Guy Consolmagno, into the Antarctica to check if there is anything big coming from certain directions in the sky that are usually difficult to monitor? The Vatican takes its own destruction very seriously because they KNOW they are a negative malignant force operating as predators on humanity and they know that universal conciousness will regularly wipe them off the planet for everybody elses' good. Why do you think the astronomer priests made sure the bit in the scriptures, "Judgement will start at the house of God" was NOT removed? Why do you think there is such a cosy relationship between NASA and the Vatican? Well, these modern astronomer priests have a lot in common... Overall, I think it is fair to say the Vatican do could not care two hoots about humanity, 2012 and the return of the Christ energy is all about their self preservation.

    2. The Vatican have major theological problems because if they can survive the evolutionary changes and their "judgement", people will eventually wake up and realise that there is a Shadow Biosphere on this planet and extraterrestrial life exists throughout the universe, thus we can anticipate that there is going to be some trauma. Please see archives re further comments on this subject.

Vatican rules on apparitions and revelations

Emanuela Orlandi 'was kidnapped for sex parties for Vatican police'
A teenage girl whose disappearance in Rome has remained a mystery for 30 years was kidnapped for sex parties by a gang involving Vatican police and foreign diplomats, the Roman Catholic Church's leading exorcist has claimed.
    The Telegraph, 22nd May 2012
Vile... so it looks like they might have found the body of a young girl, and to deflect the revulsion that is sure to come when all the facts are known, the storyline is to blame the Vatican police. So even if there is a cover-up -- and if you know anything about Italy, bribes are quite a 'normal' part of society -- the real question is: why is a notorious mobster/gangster buried in such a presigious church next to cardinals and other important members of the 'Holy' Catholic Church? The fact his family paid a huge amount of money to the Church is not really good enough, especially after all this really bad publicity...

Missing girl 'buried in murdered mobster's tomb was kidnapped for Vatican sex parties', claims Catholic Church's leading exorcist priest

    * Previously said yoga and Harry Potter are 'the work of the Devil'
    * Emanuela Orlandi, 15, went missing in Rome in 1983
    * Gangster Enrico De Pedis's tomb opened last week after TV show tip-off

The Catholic Church's leading exorcist priest has sensationally claimed a missing schoolgirl thought to be buried in a murdered gangster's tomb was kidnapped for Vatican sex parties.

Father Gabriel Amorth, 85, who has carried out 70,000 exorcisms, spoke out as investigators continued to examine mobster Enrico De Pedis's tomb in their hunt for Emanuela Orlandi.

Last week police and forensic experts broke into the grave after an anonymous phone call to a TV show said the truth about Emanuela's 1983 disappearance would be 'found there'.

And although bones not belonging to the mobster were recovered they have not yet been positively identified as hers.

    Comment:
Many years ago I realised what the Catholic Church represented, for those who don't know, religion is big business and is closely related to politics and giving credence to those who claim authority. The historical evidence is that those at the top of this organisation tend to be ruthless and evil, today they would be classed as psychopaths. Oh yes, the 'aliens' who thirst for power over people.... Now, anyone who has done a smidgen of research realises that these people are prepared to deceive and cheat and so ancient texts have seen a lot of destruction or re-writing over the centuries...do the research, it is common knowledge amongst scholars... How these people command any respect is beyond me, but in the old days these people felt the need to kill anyone who stepped out of line, any excuse to create terror... So, those people who still wonder why the Bible is so strange, they should seriously consider who had control of these old texts for many hundreds of years.. Well, I have a book that is over one hundred years old that briefly mentioned that there was an energy already starting to arrive and hitting this planet that would destroy the Catholic Church. There is nothing 'Christ-like' about this organisation and the evil offenders are frightened of the 'Christ' energy... Why do you think there is so much confusion about basic spiritual truths? Enlightenment for the masses is the last thing these monsters and similar in the Cultic Milieu want. However, I think these revelations may only serve to wake a few more people up to the reality of what this organisation is all about.... because many have already seen the light....

Vatican and Oxford University share ancient texts online
Digitised collections of Greek and Hebrew manuscripts and early printed books to be made available free online
    The Guardian, 12th April 2012
The Oxford University and Vatican libraries are to jointly digitise 1.5m pages of ancient texts and make them available free online.

The libraries said the digitised collections will centre on three subject areas: Greek manuscripts, 15th-century printed books and Hebrew manuscripts and early printed books.

The areas have been chosen for the strength of the collections in both libraries and their importance for scholarship in their respective fields.

With approximately two-thirds of the material coming from the Vatican and the remainder from Oxford University's Bodleian libraries, the digitisation effort will also benefit scholars by uniting materi

    Comment:
Hmmmm..... Due to all the other activity of moving books underground (in the UK books are being placed in salt domes for "preservation", the Vatican are doing the same with books) and the Vatican/NASA combined effort to digitise rare Vatican manuscripts, I imagine this is part of a greater effort to preserve information just in case there is some major disaster, hence the new doomsday vault in Svalbard, Norway for seeds. I even wonder if that is why Google have been digitising books too.... I imagine that efforts are being made to back anything up of great importance and considering what is taking place on this planet, we are waiting for the Sun to really wake up (the long term Ap, the solar geomagnetic index to recover), before we can really assess what life will be like on this planet in the future. BUT, if we go into a Maunder-like Minimum, I am still not sure what that would mean because the magnetosphere seems to be breaking down and we are in completely uncharted waters for what life would be like in severe geomagnetic conditions.

Vatican Uses NASA Technology to Preserve Ancient Tomes
    Innovationnews Daily, 20th December 2011
One of the world's oldest libraries in Rome faces a huge problem — how to preserve 1,800-year-old manuscripts in a digital format that's readable for next-generation computers. A format designed to store images taken by satellites and orbital telescopes such as the Hubble Space Telescope could offer a solution to the Holy See's Vatican Library.

Archivists have already begun scanning the fragile, ancient tomes in the Vatican's collection with software that can transform old pages pressed against glass into an accurate, flat digital image. Such images saved in the flexible image transport system (FITS) format — designed by NASA and European space scientists in the 1970s — will allow computers built even 100 years from now to decode whatever information is stored.[...]

FITS already stores astronomy data collected by space missions such as NASA's Hubble and Europe's Herschel Space Observatory. Now Giuseppe Di Persio of Italy’s National Institute for Astrophysics is helping the new effort to digitize the Roman Catholic Church's library collection.[...]

Ammenti chose FITS because of its open-source approach, its longevity over several decades and the fact that it's not owned by any one company. All of that may help the Vatican Library — founded in 1475 — preserve manuscripts and codices that in some cases originated before the invention of the printing press.

    Comment:
If you have been paying attention, you will know that many major libraries are moving books underground "for preservation". Alongside other hints like the major new seed bank in Svalbard, Norway, it implies world authorities believe there is need to make adequate plans in the event of a major disaster. Yet, it's already public knowledge that due to worsening space weather, there is a need to worry about a major geomagnetic storm that could cut off power supplies for months if not years. Besides that, it is a crime against humanity that the Vatican has these precious documents and very few people know the contents of huge amounts of ancient knowledge that has been purposely locked away... Maybe, with these works being digitised there could be an opportunity for some intellectual liberalisation... It would give the academic community the opportunity to do some relevant work now that it is more than obvious that our world and reality have arrived at a major transition point. Here, we are even told NASA are helping them with the same software used for modern astronomy data to digitise old and ancient Vatican books... If you don't already know, Catholicism is a religion based on astronomy, that is an historical fact. In the Middle Ages, Catholic priests had to study astronomy first before they were allowed to study theology or philosophy, that is another historical fact. How many more clues does the world need before more wake up to what is really happening? Sigh!

From the X Files: "Giordano Bruno's Legacy" --Vatican New Views on Extraterrestrial Civilizations
    Daily Galaxy, 26th October 2011
The chief astronomer of the church that burned Giordano Bruno at the stake in 1600 says there is no conflict between believing in God and in the possibility of extraterrestrial civilizations perhaps more evolved than humans.

"In my opinion this possibility exists," said the Reverend José Gabriel Funes, current director of the Vatican Observatory and a scientific adviser to Pope Benedict XVI, referring to life on other planets.

"How can we exclude that life has developed elsewhere," he said in an interview with the Vatican newspaper L'Osservatore Romano. The large number of galaxies with their own planets makes this possible, he noted.

Asked if he was referring to beings similar to humans or even more evolved than humans, he said: "Certainly, in a universe this big you can't exclude this hypothesis."

"Just as there is a multiplicity of creatures on earth, there can be other beings, even intelligent, created by God. This is not in contrast with our faith because we can't put limits on God's creative freedom. Why can't we speak of a 'brother extraterrestrial'? It would still be part of creation."

Funes, who runs the observatory that is based south of Rome and in Arizona, held out the possibility that the human race might actually be the "lost sheep" of the universe. There could be other beings "who remained in full friendship with their creator," he said.

"The general opinion is not always the perfect truth..." Giordano Bruno is still quoted. Such remarks produced expensive, bitter consequences: On 17th of February 1600 he publicly was burnt at the stake after eight years of torture and dungeon detention. Today the Piazza Campo dei Fiori where this statue stands has become a monument to free thinking; adjacent to the statue, is the "Fahrenheit 451" bookstore, named after Ray Bradbury's 1953 novel expounding freedom of thought.

As the Spanish physicist Beatriz Gato-Rivera wrote, Bruno "claimed that the sun was only one star among the many thousands, and therrefore, like the sun, many other stars also have planets around them and living beings inhabiting them." Gato-Rivera goes on to note that to "appreciate the genius of Bruno one has to take into account that he lived at a time when more than 99% of the intellectuals believed that the Earth was the center of the Universe, and a few others, like Copernicus and Galileo, believed that it was the Sun, instead, at the center of the Universe, and the stars being some bright heavenly bodies of an unknown nature."

    Comment:
I think this is an incredibly thought provoking article. The Catholic idea of the "Lost sheep" fits in with a lot of Gnostic beliefs rather than an idea that those who don't know any better will try and claim are New Age... Whatever, the admission that 99% of the intellectuals could be wrong and the one person that is right could be figuratively burnt at the stake for trying to provide some enlightenment is something that strikes a deep chord with me... As I have said many times before, this is a long standing pattern amongst academics who are often intimidated by their education (or brainwashing) to re-think problems from a completely different perspective. What's more, for a lot of people, just regurgitating somebody else's thoughts without actually having the capacity to think them through and take into account new observations and evidence, creates a false sense of intellectual achievement. Here, Vatican astronomers are not providing us with enlightenment for our benefit, rather they have access to the writings of ancient astronomers and philosophers, they know what is taking place on this planet now as I have written over and over again, so this is just a desperate bid to stay in power.

Shroud of Turin is a fake created by famous master Giotto, claims Italian art expert
    Daily Mail, 8th June 2011
The Shroud of Turin was made by medieval artist Giotto, it was claimed yesterday. The 14ft length of fabric, said to be the burial cloth of Christ, bears a faint image of a man and appears to be stained by blood. However carbon-dating tests have suggested it was produced between 1260 and 1390.

Now Italian art expert Luciano Buso has suggested that the original cloth deteriorated and Giotto was asked to make a copy.

    Comment:
In 1998, when I lived in Italy, I was fortunate to get the opportunity to see the Shroud of Turin on public display. What was most remarkable to me was to witness the public reverence of a 'holy' relic.... However, the most interesting thing about this special event was the sideshows of goodies on display that are rarely seen by the public... the jewel infested crowns and crosses gifted to the 'Holy' Church by kings and queens for services rendered... The whole thing is really disgusting when you understand how these 'rulers' behaved. Over many years I haver studied the 'Holy' Church and living in Italy was an excellent opportunity to see evidence firsthand of how these rulers lived like kings and queens. Today, we have historians that have been forced to hold conferences because of the high percentage of forged documents from the early Middle Ages, but forgeries have been coming out at a factory rate from Rome for a long before that time. The Shroud of Turin was probably produced to bolster the religious tourism business by the rich faithful who loved to see the 'holy' relics. These days, there is too much integrity around and too many scholars are refusing to maintain the mountain of lies... and that's a good thing.

You can't confess to your iPhone: Vatican bans £1.19 app for Catholics
    Daily Mail, 10th February 2011
Hailed as the 'perfect aid for every penitent', it promised absolution to a guilty conscience on the move. But a confession app for religious iPhone or iPad owners has evoked the disapproval of the Vatican.

The snappily-titled Confession: A Roman Catholic App was thought to have been approved by the Catholic Church after a U.S. bishop granted it an imprimatur, the church's official endorsement. But the Vatican has warned that an app can never replace visiting a priest.

Spokesman Federico Lombardi said: 'It is essential to understand that the rites of penance require a personal dialogue between penitents and their confessor. 'It cannot be replaced by a computer application'. 'I must stress to avoid all ambiguity, under no circumstance is it possible to "confess by iPhone".'

Exclusive: Discovery, Catholic Church team for exorcism series
    Ew.com, 5th January 2011
Discovery Channel is teaming with the Vatican for an unprecedented new series hunting the deadliest catch of all: Demons.

The Exorcist Files will recreate stories of real-life hauntings and demonic possession, based on cases investigated by the Catholic Church. The project includes access into the Vatican’s case files, as well as interviews with the organization’s top exorcists — religious experts who are rarely seen on television. [...]

Bunting says the investigators believe a demon can inhabit an inanimate object (like a home) or a person. The network executive says he was initially skeptical when first meeting the team but was won over after more than three hours of talks. “The work these folks do, and their conviction in their beliefs, make for fascinating stories,” Bunting says.

Maybe, this is an attempt to make the Catholic Church and it's role in society seem interesting...

Pope adviser calls the UK a 'Third World country'
    BBC News, 15th September 2010
One of the Pope's senior advisers has pulled out of the papal visit to Britain, after reportedly saying the UK is a "Third World country" marked by "a new and aggressive atheism". Cardinal Walter Kasper, 77, made the remarks in a German magazine interview. The Vatican said the cardinal had not intended "any kind of slight", and was referring to the UK's multicultural society. It added that he had simply pulled out of the Pope's visit due to illness.

The German-born cardinal was quoted as saying to the country's Focus magazine that "when you land at Heathrow you think at times you have landed in a Third World country". He also was reported to have criticised British Airways, saying that when you wear a cross on the airline "you are discriminated against".

Vatican sources said Cardinal Kasper was suffering from gout and had been advised by his doctors not to travel to the UK.

    Comment:
Wow! On the eve of the Pope's visit too.... His gout must have been really bothering him!

Pope launches team to 're-evangelise' the West
    The Telegraph, 29th June 2010
Benedict XVI announced the creation of a new Vatican department dedicated to tackling what he called "a grave crisis in the sense of the Christian faith and the role of the Church."

He expressed deep concerns that previously staunch Catholic countries in Europe and North America were facing "the eclipse of a sense of God". Tens of thousands of worshippers are deserting the Church over issues such as clerical sex abuse and the ban on married priests.

    Comment:
They must be joking, there is too much scandal. The Catholic Church needs to clean house and quite frankly, things are so bad, I can't see how that can be done. The church in it's present form is finished.

UFO Disclosure 2010: The Vatican's Key Role
Basil and Spice, 13th April 2010

Why is the Vatican supporting the idea of alien/extraterrestrial existence?

Assuming their existence is real and quite factual, can the human race stomach the broad daylight exposure of aliens?  Are we ready for the truth?

The Vatican believes that we are.  Recent assertions in the Vatican’s newspaper Osservatore Romano by Jesuit astronomer and Director of the Vatican Observatory, Father José Gabriel Funes states that the possibility of other life forms exists.

Father Funes follows in the path of former Monsignor Corrado Balducci, (died September 20, 2008 in Italy) who stated, “Let me state very clearly: We can exclude that angels use spaceships.” He believed that the possibility of life on other planets could exist, and is in fact “highly probable.”

Disclosure Project founder, Steven Greer, MD has written that the Vatican is ready to be open on the subject.  In fact, his book, Hidden Truth explains that the Vatican has been involved in UFO research for some time.  In a conversation at the Vatican with former Monsignor Balducci, who at the time was a senior theologian to the Pope, Greer asked, “Do you think these extraterrestrials are a threat or hostile in any way?”  Mon. Balducci answered, “Oh, not at all!....

You know, God cannot be so foolish as to entrust all of his hopes for intelligent beings just on this planet….You know, I could not be saying these things unless I had the approval of Papa,” (the Pope).  Greer adds (p.229) that within Opus Dei are cells with a “very dark view” regarding the disclosure of ETs and UFOs.

Comment: Of course, God is not stupid but many humans are! Anyway, let's say, I am interested in the New Theology as the veil lifts and allsorts of intergalactic flotsam and jetsam are revealed... Are we ready for the truth? Probably not, but it's not like the human race has not been given any warning! The situation reminds me of the fictional book Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy when there are complaints of no warning when the alien bulldozers arrive to demolish Earth. We are at the end of an age (End Times) and the arrival of a massive download and refresh of aetheric energies for the whole planet and solar system. The higher energy environment causes a dimensional shift, since dimensions are only levels of energy anyway and entities in the higher realms are appearing. The Catholic Church have massive libraries stuffed with esoteric literature and know what we should expect. Hence, they are staying well ahead of the curve to maintain their power base.

Worshippers revolt in church as German Catholic leaders admit abuse
    Times Online, 2nd April 2010
German Catholic leaders openly admitted for the first time today that the Church betrayed and abused children in its care. The admission by Archbishop Robert Zollitsch, chairman of the German Bishops' Conference, came as Catholic priests across the country called on their congregations to pray for abused children. [...]

The priest appealed: "Let us pray for the children who have been done great injustice within the church community, who were abused and damaged in body and soul and for those who have sinned against children and others in their care." Half of the congregation, perhaps 150 people, remained silently standing in a rare flash of defiance. Similar scenes were reported from across the country.

It seems that things have to be absolutely terrible for some people to wake up. Also: Vatican was told 50 years ago to act against paedophile priests

    Papal Scandals
    Newsweek, 1st April 2010
There simply must be a vicar of Christ on earth, and so popes have been succeeding each other for nearly 2,000 years—but not without the occasional misstep. From cronyism to incest and even an attempt to sell the papacy, pontiffs have occasionally strayed from the righteous path.

“The Catholic Church is no stranger to scandals and controversy,” says Anura Guruge, author of The Next Pope.

    Comment:
I recommend reading 'The Vicars of Christ: The Dark side of the Papacy' written by Peter de Rosa, an ex-Catholic priest who had access to Vatican archives. It is full of scandal. Hence the horrible disgusting revelations that have been public knowledge for years, has been part of the deviant behaviour of many of the hierarchy of the Holy Catholic Church often overseen by sociopaths, psychopaths, malignant narcissists and predators. By the way, Newsweek should have taken the opportunity to tell folk about the Pope that was actually found to be a woman and that is why they still have a ceremony to check the next Pope has male genitalia.

Vatican investigates Bosnia 'apparition' of Virgin Mary
    BBC News, 17th March 2010
The Vatican has announced a commission to investigate claims that the Virgin Mary appears on a daily basis in a town in Bosnia-Hercegovina. Six children first reported the apparition in the town of Medjugorje in June 1981. However, the sightings have not yet received official recognition from the Catholic Church. The 20-strong commission will report to the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, the top doctrinal body. For almost 30 years, the Virgin Mary has been said to appear daily in Medjugorje, dressed sometimes in a grey dress and veil and sometimes in gold, crowned with stars and floating on a cloud.

    Comment:
The Vatican has a problem with these apparitions, as we know they are trying to suppress all evidence of the supernatural, unless its suits them. I am seriously wondering whether we are seeing the appearance of more thoughtforms after millions of people have focused their mental energies and this then takes on a life of it's own. The latest image of Jesus in a frying pan is one of many many examples in recent years. If you think of the aether as a computer hard disk that can be formatted and written upon by people's thoughts, the data cannot be removed until the aether is literally reformatted and I think that time is very near but we don't understand the full implications of what this would mean. Meanwhile, the massive increase in energies on the planet is just creating chaos and things from higher dimensions are bleeding through on a regular basis and hence all the many different paranormal manifestations that are just commonplace. In terms of the storage of energy being referred to as 'akashic records', shamans make a comparison with video and these repeat appearances are like a video recording that is being replayed over and over again.

Chief exorcist Father Gabriele Amorth says Devil is in the Vatican
    Times Online, 10th March 2010
Sex abuse scandals in the Roman Catholic Church are proof that that "the Devil is at work inside the Vatican", according to the Holy See's chief exorcist.

Father Gabriele Amorth, 85, who has been the Vatican's chief exorcist for 25 years and says he has dealt with 70,000 cases of demonic possession, said that the consequences of satanic infiltration included power struggles at the Vatican as well as "cardinals who do not believe in Jesus, and bishops who are linked to the Demon".

He added: "When one speaks of 'the smoke of Satan' [a phrase coined by Pope Paul VI in 1972] in the holy rooms, it is all true – including these latest stories of violence and paedophilia."

    Comment:
First I laughed at the headline and then I thought, this is not really funny because many people have been hurt and damaged by those who are supposed to have been trustworthy. This is one very brave man because there is a long history of people being killed within the Vatican, not just Popes, but the new evolutionary energies are certainly effecting human consciousness and people are speaking out and taking action regardless of the consequences.

    Vatican reveals Secret Archives
A 13th-century letter from Genghis Khan’s grandson demanding homage from the pope is among a collection of documents from the Vatican’s Secret Archives that has been published for the first time.
    The Telegraph, 1st January 2010
The Holy See’s archives contain scrolls, parchments and leather-bound volumes with correspondence dating back more than 1,000 years.

High-quality reproductions of 105 documents, 19 of which have never been seen before in public, have now been published in a book. The Vatican Secret Archives features a papal letter to Hitler, an entreaty to Rome written on birch bark by a tribe of North American Indians, and a plea from Mary Queen of Scots.

The book documents the Roman Catholic Church’s often hostile dealings with the world of science and the arts, including documents from the heresy trial against Galileo and correspondence exchanged with Erasmus, Voltaire and Mozart. It also reveals the Church’s relations with princes and potentates in countries far beyond its dominion.

Rich nations must assume environmental duties: pope
    Reuters, 15th December 2009
VATICAN CITY (Reuters) - Industrialized nations must recognize their responsibility for the environmental crisis, shed their consumerism and embrace more sober lifestyles, Pope Benedict said on Tuesday.

The pope's call for more environmental commitments came in his message for the Roman Catholic Church's annual World Day of Peace, to be marked on Jan 1 and whose theme is "If You Want to Cultivate Peace, Protect Creation."

The message is traditionally sent to heads of state, government and international organizations and its importance this year is more significant because its release coincided with the U.N. climate conference in Copenhagen.

    Comment:
If you want to see wealth, I would recommend a visit to the Vatican museum in Rome. I was actually quite fortunate to see the Shroud of Turin in 1998 and as part of the celebrations, members of the public were ALLOWED to see priceless collection pieces that are rarely ever shown. These were crowns, crosses and religious paraphernalia encrusted with jewels, that is of course, all surplus to requirements, but kept as an insurance policy. When the Vatican talk about shedding consumerism that is for us NOT them.

Gold, Frankincense and Mars - Guy Consolmagno
    Colbert Report, 1st December 2009
Comment: copy: Stephen Colbert welcomes Brother Guy J. Consolmagno to "Comedy Central". The interview clip [6:00] is provided here. Brother Consolmagno was referenced in my book, as he seems to be a prominent Vatican spokesperson on the 'heavens' and is described as a Jesuit scholar who wrote the book The Heavens Proclaim. In his reply to Colbert's first question, Brother Consolmagno explained that in the Middle Ages, scholars first had to study astronomy as a way of understanding the Universe before they were allowed to study theology or philosophy as a way of getting to know the Creator.

Hmmmm... That tells you just how backward things are now... Anyway, check out the NEW VATICAN interpretation of the first verses of GENESIS (my interpretation because Guy actually quotes the start of the Gospel of John, "In the beginning was the word", we get a new meaning for what WORD could mean and then when Colbert mentions angels, we get another interesting perspective that suggests the Vatican believe there is no reason why there should not be other intelligent life and creatures in the universe. WOW!!!! This is primetime knockout entertainment!

But seriously... What exactly is a Vatican astronomer doing on a prime time TV comedy program talking about ETs and the possibility of extraterrestrial life? The metaphysical community should be ashamed for being so far behind the curve.... See articles and documents, Religion and UFOs

The Vatican joins the search for alien life
The Vatican's Pontifical Academy of Sciences is holding its first ever conference on alien life, the discovery of which would have profound implications for the Catholic Church.
    The Telegraph, 10th November 2009
The Pontifical Academy of Sciences is holding a conference on astrobiology, the study of life beyond Earth, with scientists and religious leaders gathering in Rome this week.

For centuries, theologians have argued over what the existence of life elsewhere in the universe would mean for the Church: at least since Giordano Bruno, an Italian monk, was put to death by the Inquisition in 1600 for claiming that other worlds exist. Among other things, extremely alien-looking aliens would be hard to fit with the idea that God “made man in his own image”.

    Comment:
Well, as I have stated before about the men at the Vatican, they are one of the world's most powerful organisations because they KNOW what is going on! The dimensions are opening up and as the guys at SETI have now realised, we don't need to go into outer space to find alien life, because maybe it's visiting us right now and hence they introduced the SETV program. Well, this is all quite exciting despite the fact that most people are still sleep, I am relieved that at least organisations that are traditionally way ahead of the curve are making their views known.

    Update
The following article is quite informative, see Vatican prepares for extraterrestrial disclosure .

I would like to point out that it was a Vatican theologian Míceál Ledwith, who co-wrote the book 'The Orb Project', with the NASA scientist Dr. Klaus Heinemann. Interestingly, there still seems to be a muted silence from those whipping up fervour re 2012. It can only be assumed that there is no understanding of the significance at this time of evolutionary change.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince praised by Vatican
The Catholic Church has heaped praise on the latest Harry Potter film after previously accusing the books of promoting witchcraft and the occult.
    Telegraph, 14th July 2009
"The Vatican's official newspaper lauded Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince for its "clear" depiction of the eternal battle between good and evil represented by the struggle between Harry and his nemesis, the evil sorcerer Lord Voldemort.

L'Osservatore Romano said the movie was the best adaptation yet of the JK Rowling books, describing it as "a mixture of supernatural suspense and romance which reaches the right balance".

    Comment:
I am sure this change of heart will only cause consternation for the devout that have been fighting with their kids over the right to read and watch the Harry Potter books and films, which only provide a strong sense of the magical aspects of our reality. Personally, I am waiting for an instructive James Bond film where he gets sent to retrieve important information from the Vatican Archives that will help change the destiny of mankind or something similar.... Dan Brown got pretty close in his book Angels & Demons, another excellent read condemned by the Vatican....

How The Vatican Sold Its Soul
A new book by the journalist Gianluigi Nuzzi lays bare a history of political bribes being paid through the Vatican's central bank
    Guardian Online, 3rd June 2009
"The Vatican appears to have an enduring vocation for Italian political and financial scandal. Secrecy and intrigue were the order of the day when American archbishop Paul Marcinkus held sway in the Bastion of Nicholas V, the medieval tower housing the Institute for the Works of Religion (IOR), the Vatican's central bank. The requirements of a clandestine global struggle against atheist communism may explain the choice of business partners such as Michele Sindona and Roberto Calvi, whose mafia links and ruinous bankruptcies brought lasting discredit on the Catholic church three decades ago. [...]

Whatever the reason, Dardozzi's archive offers an unprecedented glimpse of the inner workings of one of the world's most secretive and unaccountable financial institutions. The idea that a noble end – winning the cold war or funding one's favourite charity – justifies almost any means, still seems to endure at the pope's bank in the Nicholas V Tower"

    Comment:
Off Topic. Well, this historical account fits in nicely with the known history of the Holy Catholic Church. If you are not privy to what the elite are already well aware of, I recommend the book, 'Vicars of Christ: The Dark Side of the Papacy' written by an ex-Catholic priest who had access to Vatican archives. After reading this book and similar, nobody can pretend that there is anything other than darkness masquerading as light at the highest levels of this organisation. However, I will concede that history reveals that the odd decent person is picked by accident but often they are poisoned out of the way so that things can revert back to business as usual. By the way, please don't think that the attitude of the 'noble' end justifies the means is limited to some in the traditional religions, as it seems that the New Age/Metaphysical community harbours those with a similar mentality. With low spiritual intelligence and no scruples, they can be easily identified once the blinkers are taken off and the true benchmarks of spiritual development are understood.

Medieval monk hailed by Barack Obama was a heretic, says Vatican
    Times Online, 27th March 2009
"The Vatican has dismissed as a heretic a mystical medieval monk apparently cited by Barack Obama as a moral authority and visionary.

According to Father Raniero Cantalamessa, preacher to the Pontifical Household, the US President referred in campaign speeches to Gioacchino da Fiore, or Joachim of Fiore, as a ''master of contemporary civilisation'' who had sought to create a better world. Drawing on the Book of Revelation, Gioacchino envisaged a "new age of the Holy Spirit" in which the Church hierarchy would cease to exist and Christians would unite with infidels in an "Order of the Just".

    Comment:
I think Obama has made a very inspiring choice of spiritual visionary! Gioacchino da Fiore, or Joachim of Fiore seems to have been aware that a New Day would dawn dominated by the Holy spirit, and guess what, it's happening now! This was also suggested by other spiritual traditions worldwide, so I am really impressed!

    Vatican hosts Darwin conference
    BBC News, 3rd March 2009
The Vatican is sponsoring a five day conference to mark the 150th anniversary of the publication of Charles Darwin's Origin of Species. The subject is the compatibility of evolution and creation. It is one of two separate international academic conferences being sponsored by the Vatican this year. [...] A leading American scholar of biology, Prof Francisco Ayala, plans to tell the conference that the so-called theory of intelligent design, proposed by Creationists, is flawed.

"The design of organisms is not what would be expected from an intelligent engineer, but imperfect and worse," he said. "Defects, dysfunctions, oddities, waste and cruelty pervade the living world".

    Comment:
I am totally fascinated by what is going on in Rome, as the Earth lowers her shields and cosmic rays flood our planet. Hence we are already seeing mass extinctions, strange DNA mutations and rapid evolutionary change. I can see the point of view of both sides here, but I think the Creationists might have more difficulty with what's about to happen. Whatever, the Vatican may have decided to throw in their lot with the evolutionists, but I think they will be in for a shock too. Amazing times!!

Vatican buries the hatchet with Charles Darwin
    The Times, 11th February 2009
"The Vatican has admitted that Charles Darwin was on the right track when he claimed that Man descended from apes. A leading official declared yesterday that Darwin’s theory of evolution was compatible with Christian faith, and could even be traced to St Augustine and St Thomas Aquinas.

"In fact, what we mean by evolution is the world as created by God," said Archbishop Gianfranco Ravasi, head of the Pontifical Council for Culture. The Vatican also dealt the final blow to speculation that Pope Benedict XVI might be prepared to endorse the theory of Intelligent Design, whose advocates credit a "higher power" for the complexities of life."

    Comment:
This is going to get very interesting as we watch spontaneous evolution before our very eyes. There can be no argument, we are witnessing mass extinctions, some species demonstrating rapid evolutionary change and an increase in DNA mutations worldwide. Human birth defects due to DNA mutation are increasing "dramatically" in China which has occured alongside the appearance of highly gifted children. According to authorities, the situation in China has been caused by 'unrestrained' pollution, see China's soaring mutant birth rate, but must still be considered as a warning of things to come as our planet loses it's shielding to cosmic radiation.

Catholics ordered to keep quiet over Virgin visions
    The Independent, 13th January 2009
Catholics who claim they have seen the Virgin Mary will be forced to remain silent about the apparitions until a team of psychologists, theologians, priests and exorcists have fully investigated their claims under new Vatican guidelines aimed at stamping out false claims of miracles. The Pope has instructed the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, formerly the Holy Office of the Inquisition, to draw up a new handbook to help bishops snuff out an explosion of bogus heavenly apparitions. [...]

According to Petrus, an Italian online magazine which leans towards conservative elements in the Vatican, anyone who claims to have seen an apparition will only be believed as long as they remain silent and do not court publicity over their claims. If they refuse to obey, this will be taken as a sign that their claims are false."

    Comment:
This reads like something out of Monty Python.... It does seem that efforts are being made by the Catholic Church hierarchy to "snuff out an explosion of bogus heavenly apparitions." The question is: why would it be an issue now and what does it matter? I think the answer is that cosmic/divine energies are becoming much much stronger on the planet and many more Catholics are having spiritual experiences that they will strongly link to their faith, but paradoxially this is a source of annoyance to the Catholic leadership, who traditionally believe that people need them to be the source of their spiritual nourishment. There's a scripture in the Bible, 'Times of refreshing will come from the Lord'. Well, those 'Christ' energies are back on the planet, so is it any wonder that the hierarchy of the reputed Harlot is worried?

Vatican warns of the corrupting influence of mobile phones and the internet on our souls
    Daily Mail, 25th November 2008
"Mobiles are bad for your soul, the Vatican warned yesterday. Phones and computers are making the world so noisy and hectic that people cannot cultivate their spiritual dimension. And without a spiritual life 'you will lose your soul', said Father Federico Lombardi, the Pope's spokesman.

The Jesuit priest, who is the director of the Vatican press office, made his remarks on the weekly Vatican TV programme Octavia Dies."

    Comment:
    Hmmm....

Pope sees physicist Hawking at evolution gathering
    News Daily, 31st October 2008
"VATICAN CITY, Oct. 31, 2008 (Reuters) — Pope Benedict told a gathering of scientists including the British cosmologist Stephen Hawking on Friday that there was no contradiction between believing in God and empirical science." "Hawking is a guest at the week-long event, which will explore the theme: "Scientific Insights into the Evolution of the Universe and of Life." In an interview with Reuters last year, Hawking said he was "not religious in the normal sense."

"I believe the universe is governed by the laws of science," he said. "The laws may have been decreed by God, but God does not intervene to break the laws." The Catholic Church teaches "theistic evolution," which accepts evolution as scientific theory. Proponents see no reason why God could not have used an evolutionary process in forming the human species.

    Comment:
The pope addressing a group of scientists is very interesting, especially after their well known history of brutal repression of the most brilliant minds like the astronomer Galileo, who was only recent pardoned in 1992! I have not always been that nice about cosmologist Stephen Hawkins, but I can't disagree with his statement highlighted here. I am totally fascinated, I wonder what the Catholic Church are up to, maybe they realise that rapid evolutionary change is on the way, driven by spiritual energy from cosmic origins and they want to stay ahead of the curve.......who knows?

Pope says world financial system 'built on sand'
    The Times, 6th October 2008
"Pope Benedict XVI today said that the global credit crisis shows that the world's financial systems are "built on sand" and that only the works of God have "solid reality". Opening a Synod of Bishops in the Vatican the Pope referred to a passage from St Matthew's Gospel on false prophets, saying ''He who builds only on visible and tangible things like success, career and money builds the house of his life on sand''. He added: ''We are now seeing, in the collapse of major banks, that money vanishes, it is nothing. All these things that appear to be real are in fact secondary. Only God's words are a solid reality''.

    Comment:
Anyone who has studied some of the history of the Holy Catholic Church and scripture, would probably want to debate the veracity of "God's words" but besides that, many with more than a passing interest in spirituality would probably find themselves agreeing with the Pope! However, it must be assumed that the Pope has learnt from the Church's own fair share of financial scandals....

Catholic Church to hold debate on God and evolution
Theologians and scientists will discuss faith and Darwinism at a five-day Vatican-sponsored conference
    The Times, 16th September 2008
"The day after the Church of England issued an "apology" for having "misunderstood" the work of Charles Darwin, the Vatican has announced that it will organise a debate on the thorny question of Christian belief and the theory of evolution."

"Phillip R. Sloan, a professor of Liberal Studies at Notre Dame University, said that the challenges which evolution poses for contemporary Catholics were "enormous" and will only increase because of "the ethical and theological questions that have emerged" due to scientific advances in areas such as biotechnology, stem cell research, cloning and brain research.

Sloan added: "There is no mention of evolution in the Catechism [the official teaching document of the Roman Catholic Church]; people don’t even know where we stand on it." He claimed that the March meeting was so important that organisers foresee that it will "change the dialogue between the Catholic Church and the world of science.""

    Comment:
I think something is up! The Catholic Church has decided to get their act together over their beliefs in evolution. Does this mean that they have been tipped off that something major is happening? The real question is, why now?

    Update 18th September
I suppose cats morphing in China and within a fortnight, the Anglican and Catholic Church making abrupt statements on evolution has to be a coincidence, right? Quite frankly, I am more interested in the position of the Catholic Church because historically, these guys understand how to wield power and they obviously realise they are going to be facing a major issue with the ENERGY DRIVEN RAPID EVOLUTIONARY CHANGE now gripping the planet.

The Vatican's chief astronomer says that believing in aliens does not contradict faith in God.
    Breitbart News, 13th May 2008
"VATICAN CITY (AP) - The Vatican's chief astronomer says that believing in aliens does not contradict faith in God.

The Rev. Jose Gabriel Funes, the Jesuit director of the Vatican Observatory, says that the vastness of the universe means it is possible there could be other forms of life outside Earth, even intelligent ones.

In an interview published Tuesday by Vatican newspaper L'Osservatore Romano, Funes says that such a notion "doesn't contradict our faith" because aliens would still be God's creatures.

The interview was headlined "The extraterrestrial is my brother." Funes said that ruling out the existence of aliens would be like "putting limits" on God's creative freedom."

    Comment:
Is there a "false flag" on the way?

Vatican says pollution is also a sin
It tells Catholics that harming the environment is a modern-day transgression requiring urgent attention.
    LA Times, 14th March 2008
"VATICAN CITY -- A Vatican keen to show its green side has added pollution to the realm of "new sins" that today's Catholics must confront and avoid. In this age of expanding globalization, the Vatican is telling followers that sin is not just an individual act but can also be a transgression against the larger community."

    Comment:
Well, we already have priests encouraging people to confess their green sins! The Holy Catholic Church are continuing in their time honoured tradition of misleading their followers.

Science bows to theology as the Pope dismantles Vatican observatory
    The Independent, 4th January 2008
"Father Jose G Funes, the present director of the observatory, known as the Specola Vaticana, insisted that there was no sinister significance in the move. "It is not a downgrading of science in the Vatican," he said.

"To remain within the palace would have had only a symbolic significance, whereas where we are going we will be even more comfortable. Nearly everybody is in agreement with the move even though I realise that every change produces disquiet."

    Comment:
Don't worry folks, the Vatican have state of the art facilities elsewhere in the world...

Vatican pulls top astronomers into its orbit for galaxy conference
Catholic News Service, 18th September 2007
Comment: When I first discovered that the Vatican had it's own astronomical observatories, I was little shocked, but that is because I had not actually thought enough about this powerful worldwide organisation with a history of interfering in world affairs. They understand the concept that knowledge is power. Thus, did you know the latest observatory was built in Arizona and staffed with NASA astronomers to observe the Hale-Bopp comet that appeared in the mid 1990s. You bet these guys will know if something is coming with our name on it!
