Bald eagle deaths in Utah alarm and mystify scientists

Bald eagles are dying in Utah - 20 in the past few weeks alone - and nobody can figure out why.
Hundreds of the majestic birds - many with wing spans of 7 feet or more - migrate here each winter, gathering along the Great Salt Lake and feasting on carp and other fish that swim in the nearby freshwater bays.
Earlier this month, however, hunters and farmers across five counties in northern and central Utah began finding the normally skittish raptors lying listless on the ground. Many suffered from seizures, head tremors and paralysis in the legs, feet and wings.
Comment: Since there are lot of other creatures "mysteriously" dying off, the accusations are that we are seeing the fallout from Fukushima starting to really hit home... Lots of comment over at Energy News

FBI warns of terrorists toting copies of Old Farmers' Almanac

The FBI is warning police nationwide to be alert for people carrying almanacs, cautioning that the popular reference books covering everything from abbreviations to weather trends could be used for terrorist planning.
In a bulletin sent Christmas Eve to about 18,000 police organizations, the FBI said terrorists may use almanacs "to assist with target selection and pre-operational planning." It urged officers to watch during searches, traffic stops and other investigations for anyone carrying almanacs, especially if the books are annotated in suspicious ways. "The practice of researching potential targets is consistent with known methods of al-Qaida and other terrorist organizations that seek to maximize the likelihood of operational success through careful planning," the FBI wrote.

Anger can be a most potent tool once you channel it into a creative, rather than destructive outlet. Don't get mad, then start destroying stuff, that's just playing right into their hands. Instead, get mad, then start creating stuff!! They won't know how to deal with that.
Comment: I thought the conclusion here was mostly typically disappointing New Agey mush... However, I can agree with the above paragraph... The Erik Lensherr quote and question: "Where do I find the more evolved people?", is one I mutter virtually every day... I think we are headed for a major wipeout, but one that not even the elite will survive with their current level of power and control in tact. 'Military-Style' Raid on California Power Station Spooks U.S.

When U.S. officials warn about "attacks" on electric power facilities these days, the first thing that comes to mind is probably a computer hacker trying to shut the lights off in a city with malware. But a more traditional attack on a power station in California has U.S. officials puzzled and worried about the physical security of the the electrical grid--from attackers who come in with guns blazing.
Around 1:00 AM on April 16, at least one individual (possibly two) entered two different manholes at the PG&E Metcalf power substation, southeast of San Jose, and cut fiber cables in the area around the substation. That knocked out some local 911 services, landline service to the substation, and cell phone service in the area, a senior U.S. intelligence official told Foreign Policy. The intruder(s) then fired more than 100 rounds from what two officials described as a high-powered rifle at several transformers in the facility. Ten transformers were damaged in one area of the facility, and three transformer banks -- or groups of transformers -- were hit in another, according to a PG&E spokesman.
Comment: If you check the archives, I stated quite some time ago that the U.S. military will not allow themselves to become vulnerable to the U.S. national power grid which currently is not under their control... It is obvious to me that they will try and get something done and this "dress rehearsal" using military grade weapons might only be a fact finding mission in derterming just how bothered utilities are about the issue of physical and cyber threats to the national power grid... The suspicion that this is really about highlighting the vulnerability to space weather is all part of the concern that utility companies are running the U.S. national grid on a shoestring to maximise profits and will only respond to a major crisis which of course is not good enough, especially if the crisis means the grid is destroyed... So, this strange incident has a certain logic for those who realise just how vulnerable society has become... It will be interesting to see how this develops...

British space-weather centre will give advance protection from solar super-storms

Britain will next year have its own space-weather centre for predicting the arrival of solar “super-storms” that can trigger electricity blackouts across whole cities and knock out GPS satellites, the Government will announce today.
Space weather forecasts will start from the spring of 2014 and are designed to give early warning to private companies and public utilities with critical equipment that is vulnerable to electrical malfunction during a large solar storm.
The Met Office, which is charged with providing the round-the-clock forecasts, will receive £4.6m over the next three years to bring the service fully online, covering 365 days a year. [...]
If coronal ejections end up hitting the Earth, these huge bodies of electrically charged particles can cause geomagnetic storms and power surges within the electrical transformers of the National Grid. Damaged transformers can take weeks to repair. David Willetts, the Universities and Science Minister, said Britain’s increasing reliance on electronic technology makes it more vulnerable than ever to solar super-storms.
Large events like these are calculated to occur about once every couple of centuries – the last one of this size hit the Earth in 1859.
“Space weather is identified as one of the significant risks to our national infrastructure. There are two main risks: one is to the power system of transformers tripping out; a second vulnerability is to satellite systems,” Mr Willetts said.
“We’ve got more systems that are potentially more vulnerable to space weather. There are more satellites out there and electricity systems are more extensive than ever before so one of the reasons why we’ve decided on this investment is because we have this potential increase in vulnerability,” he added. Solar super-storms, however, such as the 1859 event named after British astronomer Richard Carrington, have the potential for widespread disruption, particularly if they cause power surges in electrical transformers or satellites.
“We’re really talking about a repeat of events like the Carrington storm in 1859. That has a return period of about one in 100 to one in 200 years,” said Mark Gibbs, head of space weather at the Met Office. “That means there is probably a 12 per cent chance of one occurring in the next decade.”

Currently, we are not properly prepared, a mega solar blast means those on the sunward side of the planet at least will experience the decimation of our modern technological world... Comment: Here we have a little bit of truth mixed in with a lot of artistic licence to control people's belief systems.... In modern terminology, the existence of a plasma lifeform that some describe as "light beings" is probably more appropriate... The New Age interest is mostly related to the appearance of orbs in an increasing number of different scenarios combined with the belief that we are witnessing the expected thinning of the veil or the apocalypse based on the original gnostic meaning. The article seems to employ a lot of double meanings, so the information presented here has different meanings for the initiated... Besides that, we know the Catholic Church has a huge UFO data collection, good enough to attract the attention of U.S. presidential interest and demands for information to be released... The Catholic Church maintains its position by being ahead of the curve and manipulating the meaning of different phenomena for their own purposes, very few are prviledged enough to find out more of the truth, without a huge amount of personal effort.

Comment: The bad news is going mainstream... Excessive radiation coming to the air you breath and the water you drink... Now we need any secret knowledge or technology that is available to clean up the mess on this planet. Maybe, some big cosmic blasts might serve the same purpose, but that might be a rather drastic solution...

Fukushima "Breaking".....75 US Navy sailors have cancer after brief visit to leakage site

Veteran human rights lawyer Charles Bonner (left) has practiced law for 27 years, so by now he's pretty good at it. [...] Now he is leading a class action lawsuit against TEPCO, the regulator/owner of the Fukushima nuclear energy plant.
He's unlikely to lose it, because he represents 75 sailors who came down with a host of medical problems, including cancers and leukemias, all kinds of gynaecological problems, and tumors on the brain. These service men and women are mainly young people in their early to mid twenties, and no one in their family had ever any of these kinds of illnesses before. Just since Bonner took the case, another 21 sailors have begun to show the same dire symptoms....of radiation sickness.
Their common link? They were all serving on board USS Ronald Reagan during a brief visit to the waters around Fukushima three years ago. As the Ronald Reagan desalinates all its water from the sea for drinking, bathing and other cleaning purposes, all the sailors were multiply exposed to radiation from the Fukushima accident.
Comment: Reality biting... I think that what happened to these US servicemen is the worse case radiation exposure scenario. Just imagine, nuclear fuel rods and plutonium blew sky high... The sea was contaminated closest to Fukushima but it was the only source of water supply for sailors on the USS Reagan for drinking and bathing... The same level of medical problems is coming quickly for Fukushima and the rest of Japan. The images of radiation picked up by car filters in Fukushima city is shocking... The recent draconian effort by the Japanese to suppress the bad news is just a small indication of just how bad this all is, the lack of interest in the future of humanity is what the survivors on this planet will spend a lot of time trying to understand.

'Chorus waves' build the need for speed in Earth's radiation belts

Waves in the plasma trailing behind Earth are responsible for making the northern lights dance in the sky, but according to new research, they also create another cosmic wonder.
Known as chorus waves, these oscillations also cause the rapid acceleration of electrons already trapped in the planet's radiation belts. The fluctuations occur in the very low frequency range, but can send charged particles spiraling into the atmosphere at velocities approaching the speed of light.
Comment: Hmmm... Space scientists are admitting that strong electric fields in the upper atmosphere are causing particles to accelerate to nearly the speed of light.... Space science has well and truly moved on.... Besides that, I am picturing this as waves being generated in Earth's magnetotail that hit the Van allen belts surrounding Earth which makes the particles in the magnetic field lines spin faster... Maybe a suitable analogy is like how a mill waterwheel will spin faster when there is a flood... When those water wheels spin at high speed, there is some inevitable loses and a not of spray... In Earth's upper atmosphere particles accelerated to nearly the speed of light appear as beams of electrons (lasers?) that hit satellites and enter Earth's lower atmosphere... This is why I imagine that chorus waves are the cause of the "killer electrons," just like space scientists have been muttering about for quite some time, see
NASA Spacecraft Records 'Earthsong' I imagine that we are really talking about natural lasers, but nobody wants to come out and directly tell us that during geomagnetic storms, it's like stars wars out there in lower Earth orbit... But the huge amount of resources being allocated in trying to deal with the increasing risk of billions of dollars worth of satellites being knocked out is telling us that this is now quite serious.

U-M space weather model picked to improve US warning system

A University of Michigan space weather model beat out four other contenders for a spot in the national Space Weather Prediction Center's forecasting toolbox.
It is the first time that computer models based on a firm understanding of physics have overtaken simpler, statistics-based models to predict magnetic disturbances due to space weather. The new model can also give information about where the effects of a geomagnetic storm will be weaker or stronger around Earth.

Using measurements from ACE, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Space Weather Prediction Center has been making forecasts from statistics-based, or empirical, models for space weather. These models work reasonably well for estimating the strength of magnetic fluctuations on a global level within the range of space weather observed before. However, these models cannot predict events outside their statistical comfort zones, like the 1859 storm, or where around Earth magnetic disturbances will occur.
That's why NOAA put out a call for new models that could provide more accurate predictions. They tested two empirical models with local forecast capabilities and three physics-based models, including Michigan's. The physics models outperformed the empirical models and Michigan's came out tops.

Princeton and PPPL launch center to study volatile space weather

Researchers at Princeton University and the U.S. Department of Energy's Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL) have launched a new center to study the heliosphere, the complex and frequently violent region of space that encompasses the solar system.
This region is carved out by the solar wind — charged plasma particles that constantly stream from the sun — and gives rise to space weather that can disrupt cell phone service, damage satellites and knock out power grids. Such stormy weather results from solar flares and coronal mass ejections — huge solar eruptions that periodically hurl millions of tons of electrically charged plasma particles into the heliosphere. Eruptions that slam into the magnetosphere — the magnetic field that surrounds the earth and extends some 75 million miles into space — can trigger disturbances called geomagnetic storms. One notable outburst blacked out the Canadian city of Montreal and most of the province of Quebec for 12 hours in 1989. [...]
The center combines the resources of Princeton's Department of Astrophysical Sciences and PPPL and facilitates collaboration between them. For example, the joint enterprise will bring together the Princeton work on an explosive phenomenon called magnetic reconnection with PPPL research on the subsequent acceleration of plasma particles caused by waves in the plasma, which takes place in the inner magnetosphere — the section closest to Earth. Such processes underlie geomagnetic storms and related phenomena known as substorms.
Comment: Presumably, space weather is no such a big issue that the top universities in the United States are being compelled to allocate resources and join the task force to mitigate the ferocity of the new cosmic conditions in space.

Solar scientists at the University of Colorado Boulder are pointing to a 2012 solar storm and its CME as an example, they say, of why society needs to prepare. Daniel Baker, director of CU-Boulder’s Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics, gave a presentation on this subject to other scientists this week the annual American Geophysical Union meeting in San Francisco. Dr. Baker told EarthSky:

This may be closer to the recent revelation that the FBI can turn on a computer's webcam without activating the indicator light to monitor criminals. People surveilled through their computers’ cameras aren’t choosing to share video of themselves, just as people who self-censor on Facebook aren’t choosing to share their thoughts. The difference is that the FBI needs a warrant but Facebook can proceed without permission from anyone. [...]
So Facebook considers your thoughtful discretion about what to post as bad, because it withholds value from Facebook and from other users. Facebook monitors those unposted thoughts to better understand them, in order to build a system that minimizes this deliberate behavior. Neuroscientists at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston have successfully demonstrated that they can alter human actions by imperceptible electrical stimulation of the prefrontal cortex.
Their findings have been published in the December issue of the Journal of Neuroscience.
The lead on the study, Nitin Tandon M.D. said:
“There is a circuit in the brain for inhibiting or braking responses. We believe we are the first to show that we can enhance this braking system with brain stimulation.”
The system relies on electrodes being planted on the surface of the brain, not something that would allow control of the masses, but certainly something that could be used to control certain individuals.

During the Cold War, the US and the Soviet Union battled on many fronts to demonstrate their superior technical and scientific achievements. Some of these battles are well known and well documented, such as the race to put a human in space and then on the Moon.
Others are much less well known. One of these battlefronts was in unconventional research—parapsychology (or psychotronics as the Soviets called it), mind control and remote influence and the such like. Some of the US work on these topics is now public and has famously become the basis for various books, TV documentaries and for the Hollywood film “The Men Who Stare at Goats”.
Comment: Basically, the article gets this wrong. This paper is a very basic survey of about 80 years of unconventional research in Russia from the end of the 19th until the beginning of the 21th centuries in areas related to generation and detection of a 'high-penetrating' emission of non-biological origin. So, if this subject matter is based on speculation and woo, why all the effort? With reference to the natural and beneficial energies emitted and detected by humans, maybe, some in the West would prefer the people to be largely ignorant. Leading academic journals are distorting the scientific process and represent a "tyranny" that must be broken, according to a Nobel prize winner who has declared a boycott on the publications.
Randy Schekman, a US biologist who won the Nobel prize in physiology or medicine this year and receives his prize in Stockholm on Tuesday, said his lab would no longer send research papers to the top-tier journals, Nature, Cell and Science.
Schekman said pressure to publish in "luxury" journals encouraged researchers to cut corners and pursue trendy fields of science instead of doing more important work. The problem was exacerbated, he said, by editors who were not active scientists but professionals who favoured studies that were likely to make a splash. [...]
Schekman criticises Nature, Cell and Science for artificially restricting the number of papers they accept, a policy he says stokes demand "like fashion designers who create limited-edition handbags." He also attacks a widespread metric called an "impact factor", used by many top-tier journals in their marketing.
A journal's impact factor is a measure of how often its papers are cited, and is used as a proxy for quality. But Schekman said it was "toxic influence" on science that "introduced a distortion". He writes: "A paper can become highly cited because it is good science - or because it is eye-catching, provocative, or wrong."
Comment: Wow.... I have cited many articles about the corrupt peer review process that perpetuates the status quo and keeps out science that controllers do not want known. What this means is there are many people who only believe what is fashionable and have basically lost any ability to judge merits based on working things out from first principles. These people who only believe what they are told and can't think for themselves are often ignorant and arrogant. Generally they cause problems for genuine thinkers, philosophers and scientists who realise what the spirit of scientific enquiry is all about. Nestled in an acid-free corrugated cardboard container was the earliest known example of telephone technology in the Western Hemisphere, evoking a lost civilization—and the anonymous ancient techie who dreamed it up.
The gourd-and-twine device, created 1,200 to 1,400 years ago, remains tantalizingly functional—and too fragile to test out. “This is unique,” NMAI curator Ramiro Matos, an anthropologist and archaeologist who specializes in the study of the central Andes, tells me. “Only one was ever discovered. It comes from the consciousness of an indigenous society with no written language.”
Comment: I suppose this brings us back to the argument that humans have been around for a long time. High civilisations have come and gone and despite best efforts to hide the evidence, those interested in the truth have plenty of anomalous artefacts, to cite as proof. My real interest is the obvious use of telescopes by ancient civilisations. Intelligent folk have to wonder how the ancient Egyptians could accurately calculate the eclipse times of a binary star system that is 7.6 light years away. The archaeological evidence of astronomical observatories, astronomical lenses and ancient manuscripts suggests the ancient Maya did not produce accurate astronomical calendars by accident either... My usual advice is to learn how to spot the traits, especially when it comes to the snakes claiming to be religious or spiritual. These sub-human types will work you over time and again, the only option is to protect yourself by watching out.
Update Well, I watched this 2 hour documentary and I was generally pleased with concept of a top 10 countdown of films that depicted psychopaths in all their glory or gory. This was interspersed with the opinion/interviews with an assortment of known psychopaths and experts. Within the first 5 minutes, the FBI agent that uses films to teach about psychopaths repeated the mantra that they are "intra-species predators," but nothing deep about what this means. The documentary really did not go into the gory details of why these people do what they do for kicks.... This is why you will never really understand until you pay attention to the most famous self-aware psychopath on the planet, Sam Vaknin. He honestly explains that they are squeezing their victims for energy that he calls narcissistic supply and he lays out their various strategies... I believe that ultimately psychopathy is a spiritual problem and those BIG NAMES claiming to be spiritual have a big credibility problem in failing to point this out... So, there is a spectrum of psychopathy and I presume the serial killers that kill and chop off body parts might only express their sickness differently to others with this condition. The filmmakers basically accused the banking profession of being overrun with psychopaths and the cause of the ruination the world's finances which I thought was very brave... Thus, we had the famous video footage of the former Lehman's Brothers boss being grilled by congress after Lehman's went under. It was good to get a reminder of another tell-tale sign, the creepy display of the lizard tongue being regularly stuck out... Watch the documentary, there were other psychopaths regularly sticking out their tongue like lizards, even greasy Dutton which only confirms my suspicions about him... Teen Who Killed Four People Got Off On Probation Because He's Rich

A 16-year-old boy who drunkenly killed four people got probation this week because the judge — with no apparent irony — agreed with the boy's defense that he was a victim of "affluenza," whose parents taught him wealth and privilege shield consequences. The teen had faced up to twenty years in prison.
Sixteen-year-old Ethan Couch admitted to four counts of manslaughter after he and seven other boys stole alcohol from Walmart, piled into his car and struck and killed four pedestrians while going 70 miles per hour in a 40 zone. One of his passengers remains in the hospital with severe brain damage, and nine other bystanders were also injured.
Couch's BAC was a .24 and he also had Valium in his system. According to reports, he was belligerent at the scene, at one point saying, "I'm outta here." Prosecutors were hoping to get up to 20 years.
Couch's defense was that he was a victim of his parents' wealth and privilege; in that he never had to face consequences, which an expert summarized prior to sentencing.
Comment: Wow... suffering from "affluenza"... I think the real defence is that this is a young psychopath, but since when has society decided that they can't be held responsible for their actions? As we all know, some psychopaths become serial killers and will just keep killing more and more people until they are locked up... This person has killed 4: that includes a youth pastor; woman and child. He also injured 10 others in this one incident, is that not enough to be locked up? I think the judge needs to be tested for psychopathy too.

CU professor: Severe space weather shouldn't be ignored

BOULDER — A massive ejection of material from the sun initially traveling at over 7 million miles per hour that narrowly missed Earth last year is an event solar scientists hope will open the eyes of policymakers regarding the impacts and mitigation of severe space weather, says a University of Colorado professor.
The coronal mass ejection, or CME, event was likely more powerful than the famous Carrington storm of 1859, when the sun blasted Earth’s atmosphere hard enough twice to light up the sky from the North Pole to Central America and allowed New Englanders to read their newspapers at night by aurora light, said CU-Boulder Professor Daniel Baker. Had it hit Earth, the July 2012 event likely would have created a technological disaster by short-circuiting satellites, power grids, ground communication equipment and even threatening the health of astronauts and aircraft crews, he said.[...]
“My space weather colleagues believe that until we have an event that slams Earth and causes complete mayhem, policymakers are not going to pay attention,” he said. “The message we are trying to convey is that we made direct measurements of the 2012 event and saw the full consequences without going through a direct hit on our planet.”
Baker will give a presentation on the subject at the 46th Annual Fall Meeting of the American Geophysical Union held in San Francisco Dec. 9 to Dec. 13.[...]
“The Carrington storm and the 2012 event show that extreme space weather events can happen even during a modest solar cycle like the one presently underway,” said Baker. “Rather than wait and pick up the pieces, we ought to take lessons from these events to prepare ourselves for inevitable future solar storms.”
Comment: Hmmm... Baker et al. have realised that policy makers are not taking the issue of space weather seriously enough. Today, space scientists and engineers don't just have the historic 1859 Carrington geomagnetic storm as a precedent to cite. I would say there is probably more of a real correlation with geomagnetic flux as emotional energy needs a high aetheric tide to enable it to be registered... THE GHOST OF COMET ISON: On Friday, Dec. 6th, leading researchers from NASA's Comet ISON Observing Campaign (CIOC) held an informal workshop at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab. One of the key questions they discussed was, Did Comet ISON survive? It might seem surprising that anyone is still asking. After all, the "comet" that emerged from the sun's atmosphere on Thanksgiving day appeared to be little more than a disintegrating cloud of dust. This movie from the STEREO-A spacecraft (processed by Alan Watson) shows the V-shaped cloud fading into invisibility on Dec. 1st:
The answer hinges on the contents of that cloud. Is it nothing more than a cloud of dust--or could there be some some fragments of the disintegrated nucleus still intact and potentially active?
A key result announced at the workshop comes from SOHO, the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory. According to the spacecraft's SWAN instrument, the comet stopped producing so-called Lyman alpha photons soon after its closest approach to the sun. Karl Battams of the CIOC explains what this means: "Without getting technical, Lyman-Alpha is a consequence of sunlight interacting with hydrogen, and if we are not seeing that interaction then it means that the levels of hydrogen (and hence ice) are extremely low. This is indicative of a completely burned out nucleus, or no nucleus at all."
"The evidence appears strong that at some point approaching perihelion - whether days or hours - Comet ISON likely began to completely fall apart," he continues.
"What remains of ISON now is going to be either just a cloud of dust, or perhaps a few very depleted chunks of nucleus. Either way, it's not going to flare up at this point and we should assume the comet's show is over."
"However, we do need to verify this," says Battams. "Hopefully the Hubble team can come to the rescue! In mid-December, Hubble will be pointed in the direction of where ISON should be and they'll try and image something. If no fragments are surviving, or they are tiny, then Hubble will not be able to find anything, but that negative detection will tell us something: namely that ISON is indeed gone for good.
Comment: The discussion elsewhere is a completely different interpretation of the data and that no ice means Comet ISON could be metallic... So, it's not the lack of a light show that the citizens of Earth need to worry about, its the existence of big chunks of metallic rubble that could drop as Comet ISON flies over Earth's north pole... We saw just how huge Comet ISON's debris field was when it was electrified by CMEs on leaving perihelion... see image icon; Earth would be a small dot in comparison. That is why the Russians are worried... But of course, the flyover of a disintegrated comet with a huge debris field is not mentioned here because it is assumed most people cannot link up disparate information and think through the implications...

Comet ISON is now thought to be a traveling debris field, with no solid nucleus or core. Will we see the debris field from Earth? No one knows yet.

UPDATE DECEMBER 6, 2013. As Comet ISON pulled away from its close encounter with the sun on November 28, it first brightened and then faded again. For a couple of days now, ISON has been missing in action – out of the field of view of NASA sun-observing spacecraft – and not yet visible to earthly observers, not even the Hubble Space Telescope. It is now believed that Comet ISON has become little more than a traveling field of debris in space, still following the path of the original comet.

UNB scientists expand network to track space weather

New Brunswick researchers have returned from the Arctic frontier after installing gear that will allow them to explore high into the atmosphere.
The excursion successfully expanded the Canadian High Arctic Ionosphere Network. CHAIN is a space weather monitoring grid that maps radiation blooms coming from the sun and solar winds. That space weather impacts everything from cell phone signals, navigation systems to commercial plane routes on Earth.
“We installed eight more GPS systems to the network,” says project head and space physicist P.T. Jayachandran. “So currently we have 18 up and running.”
Those 18 stations monitor the ionosphere, a region 90 kilometres above the Earth's surface. It is there that particles charged by the sun start to bombard the planet. At times that interaction is visible as the Northern lights. But its weather has big implications because of today's reliance on technology.
Cell-phones, flight paths, and air-traffic are all things that suffer when that space weather turns nasty. [...]
The recent expansion is just the latest in an effort to bolster the network to a total of 25 stations by next summer. [...]
Once CHAIN grows to 45 Arctic outposts, Jayachandran hopes that researchers will start to be able to build somewhat predictive forecasts, although he admits it is difficult when this type of weather is generated 150 million miles away in the centre of the solar system.

Comet ISON's visit to Earth was a bit of a disappointment – but next year Mars is getting a cometary visitor that looks like it will be anything but. Calculations suggest that the Red Planet's "comet of the century" will come closer to its surface than any comet has come to Earth's in recorded history – causing a meteor shower so epic that it may pose a danger to the spacecraft that orbit Mars.
Comet C/2013 A1, also known as comet Siding Spring after the observatory in New South Wales, Australia, where it was discovered, is due to cross Mars's orbit on 19 October 2014.
Early estimates of its path made it look as though the comet could smack into the Red Planet.
A more recent study rules out a collision – but only just – and raises the alarm for the fleet of orbiters overhead.

[...] Twelve NASA spacecraft and the International Space Station have observed and detected Comet ISON on its multi-million year journey from the Oort Cloud to the solar corona.
What NASA will be doing in the next days to clarify ISON’s status:
- NASA will monitor the comet for the next several weeks. If there is nothing sizable and stable left, it will dissipate and disappear in this time, as already emitted dust leaves the vicinity. If there is still a central source of emission, even if it is very much smaller, we will see a new, much fainter coma and tail form, which currently may be overwhelmed by the dust emitted from before the disruption event.
- NASA’s STEREO spacecraft will be using their cameras to search for bright fragments throughout the week, while the NASA Infrared Telescope Facility (IRTF) in Honolulu, Hawaii will use its 3m wide telescope to detect the comet spectroscopically, the same way it did on ISON's inbound journey. Radio telescopes around the world will also be able to tell us more about what has happened. NASA’s recently launched MAVEN spacecraft may try to observe ISON next week. By mid- to late-December NASA's Hubble and Chandra observatories will be performing deep outer space searches for any remnants of the comet. Spitzer will also look for ISON in early 2014.
If a fragment that acts like a comet is detected, but at a much reduced level, it may be hard to see it from the Earth at the time of its closest approach on December 26, 2013.
Comment: This looks like NASA are being forced to admit that this comet survived perihelion and now poses a danger to Earth. The real concern is the size of the debris field that some claim is 40 million miles across plus the fact that Comet ISON has changed its original orbit. [In mid January 2014 Comet ISON will pass over Earth's North pole and I fully expect that some of the shattered comet that is trailing behind the remnant of Comet ISON will drop into Earth's atmosphere.] These facts alone explains why Russian astronomers made it known fairly immediately that Earth could get either a serious sprinkling of cosmic dust and/or unknown[?] sized meteors entering Earth's atmosphere.

Stunned eyewitnesses filmed a mystery luminescent, tentacled being, which was flashing a variety of colours, floating close to the top of the water.
Videos of the strange marine object in the city’s historic docks were posted on Youtube and Twitter with many claiming to have seen an alien.

Comment: This gets really tiresome... Why is it that the people who do these PR stunts can never prove that they were the instigators? It's really simple. All they have to do is a little filming whilst they are making and testing their anomalous artefact, in this case a marine creature and then film whilst the so-called discovery is made.... While most scientists may readily dismiss any significance to the latest figures and may be quick to say the planet is just experiencing normal geological activity, it does raise other concerns about just what may be transpiring within the interior of our planet.
Comment: I don't have the time to monitor volcanic eruptions but it is noticeable in the media that there are now many simultaneous and dramatic ongoing eruptions. The Extinction Protocol website keeps watch. The evidence is now clear that the climate scientists have failed to comprehend that the geomagnetic flux caused by space weather results in the heating the Earth's mantle and not necessarily the Earth's atmosphere. Poorly understood cloud formation then becomes a major factor partly due to more erupting volcanoes combined with the impact of warming oceans that release more CO2... Of course, world controllers are not interested in the complexities, they just want a simple formula to explain climate change. Blaming the masses gives some the excuse to extract more taxes whilst creating a new business agenda for the priviledged to benefit from. Meanwhile, whilst world controllers are not so interested in facing reality, the future of humanity on Earth becomes more tenuous.

Roman Podbrezova, 65, had gone for a morning walk when he saw the drastic change to the river which runs through the centre of the town.
'I just could not believe my eyes,' he said. 'The river was dark red. It was like something from a horror film. Blood cascading through the centre of town.'
Another local said: 'This is really creepy. Yesterday evening I walked past here and it was its normal colour.

We are talking about security bunkers with their own sustainable sources of food and water, hidden passageways that lead to ballistics-proof panic suites, and thermal heat detectors that can detect someone hiding up to 15 kilometers away. Most of these security measures will probably never even be needed if things stay pretty much as they are today.
But if the thin veneer of civilization that we all take for granted on a daily basis continues to disintegrate and we see massive civil unrest in the years ahead, then those security measures are going to come in very handy indeed.

Customers who were left out of pocket when they couldn't pay for online purchases due to a banking glitch are to be compensated, the Royal Bank of Scotland has confirmed.
Shoppers banking with the RBS, which includes Natwest and Ulster Bank, were left high and dry on 'Cyber Monday' - the biggest online shopping day of the year - when a technical problem meant they could not pay for goods.
Online card payments could not be made between 6.30pm and 9.30pm yesterday evening due to a glitch which also affected smartphones and the banks' websites.
RBS said customers were now beginning to access their money again and apologised to customers for inconvenience caused.

Personally, I am amazed customers have remained loyal because the number of major disruptions to normal service. Could Comet ISON become a "headless wonder"
If Comet ISON does reappear in the morning sky, would it still maintain some sort of a head or coma, or more likely just a tail? If it's the latter, then perhaps we will see something akin to the "Great Southern Comet of January 1887." This sungrazing comet was described as a faint narrow ribbon of light which contracted near the sun but with no trace of a head or condensation.
Comment: The point here is despite all the headlines from spaceweather.com and others screaming that Comet ISON has died, the reality is Comet ISON still exists in a different form. Even though it is not lit up like a fairy light on a Christmas tree, due to intense electrical conditions, (normally associated with planetary alignments and there is a major alignment of at least 5 planets coming up in early January 2014), this baby could light up again.... These astronomers are NOT fudging the issue, hence the cautious warning expressed in this article...

Following its Thanksgiving Day brush with solar fire, sundiving Comet ISON is now just a cloud of dust. Among experts, a consensus is building that the comet broke apart shortly before perihelion (closest approach to the sun). In the movie, note how rapidly the comet fades just before it vanishes behind the occulting disk of the SOHO coronagraph:
After perihelion, the comet emerges as a diffuse remnant of its former self. No one knows for sure what is inside that fan-shaped cloud. Possibilities include a small remnant nucleus or a "rubble pile" of furiously vaporizing fragments. By the end of the day on Nov. 28th, Comet ISON was spent.
As of Dec. 2nd, the cloud of debris is no brighter than a star of approximately 8th magnitude. Experienced astrophotographers might be able to capture the comet's fading "ghost" in the pre-dawn sky of early December, but a naked-eye spectacle is out of the question.

But the facts are comets are regularly going 'ping' in the heavens and lighting up, so its getting harder and harder for NASA et al. to hide the truth. With a pillar of fire stretching up into the clouds, this spectacular image captures the moment a volcano erupted in remote Russia.
The stream of lava rose up to a kilometre above the summit of Klyuchevskoy, one of the active volcanoes on the Kamchatka peninsula in the east of the country.
The volcano, which erupts around every two years, is one of the largest on-land active volcanoes, according to the US Geological Survey.
It stands at 15,584ft on the north end of a belt of 30 active volcanoes.
The dramatic picture of Klyuchevskoy was captured by photographer Marc Szeglat on October 16 at a distance of approximately 9.5 miles from its concealed cone, as the volcano erupted for the first time in three years.

UK resident thinks meteorite may have hit house [Video]

Lawrence Parkin from Jacksdale, Nottinghamshire said he was woken in the night by a tile falling from his roof.
In the morning he found large chunks of rock scattered around his front garden.
Experts at Nottingham University said he had possibly been hit by the remains of an iron rich meteorite. The pieces are now being sent to a London museum for further verification.

Eyewitnesses said the sky lit up like day after an explosion and objects which looked like fire balls fell into the sea, according to state-run ANA-MPA news agency.
“Meteor strikes are common in Greece, it is not threatening,” geology Professor Efthimyos Lekkas told an AA correspondent.
The meteor didn’t cause any damage but people panicked around the region.

Many residents of Western Greece experienced a unique and incredible phenomenon at 9pm yesterday evening. Meteorologists spoke of a meteorite that was to fall in the Ionia sea.
The phenomenon was particularly noticed from the residents of Zante in the regions of Maheradou and Alikon. The residents said that they saw bright streaks across the sky from West to East, followed by an intense noise. However, there were no damages or problems reported even though the testimonies supported that the glow illuminated the homes of areas in Kefalonia.
Those who saw the bright object talked about a huge burning ball that was moving with tremendous speed. Many of them supported that they also heard a strange hollow noise. According to sources, it was a meteorite that fell in the Ionian Sea between Zante and Kefallonia.

Researchers will develop a system to collect and exchange information quickly and reliably during a rapidly-evolving emergency situation, and develop procedures and policies for dealing with potentially contaminated goods. Employees of nuclear emergency centres, safety authorities, agriculture ministries will be trained to use the tools and methods resulting from PREPARE.
"Before Fukushima, emergency plans were designed in general for releases of a few days, but at Fukushima we saw releases for up to one month and then also smaller releases," said Johan Camps, head of the Crisis Management and Decision unit at the Belgian Nuclear Research Centre told World Nuclear News.

Faith-Based IPCC Turns Science into Sin

The Fifth Assessment Report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) makes clear that climate alarmism is now and has always been a matter of faith, and not science.
The just-released report includes remarkable revelations. Contrary to previous IPCC reports, this report shows that planet Earth’s mean temperature is not directly tied to the concentration of one relatively weak greenhouse gas — carbon dioxide — floating around in the atmosphere. It shows that other forces influence the planet’s climate, which for the most part are well beyond our control.
Volcanoes can pump particulate matter into the air, a phenomenon that lowers global temperatures by dissipating sunlight. The planet’s oceans — in particular, the massive Pacific — serve as enormous heat sinks, effectively modulating any natural temperature variations. And perhaps most importantly, the ultimate source of our day-to-day temperature fluctuations, the Sun itself, undergoes its own fluctuations that influence our lives far more than the burning of carbonaceous compounds in order to generate heat and power.
All of these facts, truths that “skeptics” such as the Heartland Institute (and yours truly) have been trumpeting for years, are acknowledged in the latest IPCC report.
However, that same report tells us to believe none of these other influences matters nearly as much as the small amount of carbon dioxide that mankind adds to the atmosphere. Doomsday is still on the way, according to the IPCC. Its arrival has merely been delayed a bit by an unexpectedly frivolous Mother Nature. We must not waver in our confidence that ruination is just around the corner.

Well, as long term followers of this blog will know, James Ray deservedly received a lot of attention due to his high profile killing of some of his followers. His refusal to admit his guilt contrasts with the fact that folk were alarmed that Oprah Winfrey was promoting this fraud and complained on her website that people were getting hurt over and over again in his seminars.... Of course, few paid any attention until 2 years later when he roasted a few of his ambitious followers to death. The snivelling performance here is just typical of psychopaths who can easily switch on/off the waterworks, it's all part of the personality disorder. The facts are now well and truly in the public domain, only a bloody fool would be taken in by this con man.

But there has been at least one change in this recurring nightmare. In his new blog post, he has rejected all of his previous teachings. That’s right all of them!

They're obviously NOT the same ....
"Something" dramatic happened around perihelion ... to not only fundamentally change the geometric shape of ISON's "coma" [it's now definitely "triangular" ... ("tetrahedral?")], but its trajectory as well; ISON is now following a significantly different, slower solar orbit away from the Sun than NASA calculated previously -- as can easily be seen in these Enterprise Mission orbit plots of the official NASA data.
So far, NASA has made NO "official comment."

Comment: Remember, NASA hyped this as "The Comet of The Century", but then only release poor quality images... Obviously, astronomers know that their theories have been falsified (Comet Lovejoy did exactly the same thing two years previously) so the headlines are all for the sake of the hoardes of ignoranti.... Besides that, there is still something that NASA thinks is worth hiding... The size and triangular geometry of the coma when it left the sun and brightened up was seriously huge and downright odd.... Sigh.... I was surprised that the Sun did not overreact by belching out lots more CMEs... Astronomers tracking the “comet of the century” believed it had flown too close to the Sun and had broken up, but hopes have now been reignited that part of it may have survived its close encounter.
Comet Ison was due to pass within 730,000 miles of the Sun’s surface shortly after 6.30pm. It was initially declared dead after it did not re-emerge from behind the sun with the expected brightness.
“We don’t think it survived because we don’t see any new dust,” Nasa’s Solar Dynamics Laboratory said.
It was hoped that Comet Ison would provide a spectacular sight in the sky in early December. If enough of it had survived, it promised to be one of the brightest seen this century. At around 1.2 miles (2km) across, it was thought it could be just big enough to avoid being melted away by the Sun or turned to dust.
Comment: Well, since NASA hyped this comet as "The Comet of the Century", the reason for the hype now seems to need an answer. Basically, what did NASA know that caused them to hide all the close-up images and keep them secret? According to Richard Hoagland the numbers don't lie and we must conclude the hype is due to this comets esoteric/hyperdimensional attributes and associated symbolism. So, despite the initial reports from astronomers about a demise at perihelion, it looks like The Phoenix has been reborn. If you followed the observations, Comet ISON literally 'died' and came back to life. Of course, most astronomers are flabbergasted, but their icy snowball model held by Tier 2, 3, & 4 astronomers (Tier 1 know better), is a load of rubbish, so what can we expect? Since, Comet ISON has received huge amounts of media attention, I will just post various info, images and video with proof that Comet ISON (The Phoenix) has survived and I will add any relevant speculation I find about what we can expect in the near future. For those desperate for bad news, you have missed the point of what this is all about. The fabric of our reality has changed, the repercussions are what are important for humanity to get to grips with. Go back and listen to what Richard Hoagland has been saying about the hyperdimensional nature of our reality (download the Red Ice interviews over the last few years). I even wonder if he has read my book, because it looks like he agrees with the assessment I made in September 2006 when I self-published my book
Tuning the Diamonds. Our solar system and planet are making a global energy leap. How comets behave gives up a big clue about how extreme things have become. On Earth we have to worry about the stability of Earth, but our predessors left big warning messages and huge pyramids all over the planet to help us out when things start to seriously rock and roll. [...] After impressing us yesterday, comet ISON faded dramatically overnight, and left us with a comet with no apparent nucleus in the SOHO/LASCO C2 images. As the comet plunged through the solar atmosphere, and failed to put on a show in the SDO images, we understandably concluded that ISON had succumbed to its passage and died a fiery death. Except it didn't. Well, maybe...
After perihelion, a very faint smudge of dust appeared in the the LASCO C2 images along ISON's orbit. This surprised us a little, but we have seen puffs of dust from Sungrazer tails, so it didn't surprise us enormously and didn't change our diagnosis. We watched and waited for that dust trail to fade away. Except it didn't.
Now, in the latest LASCO C3 images, we are seeing something beginning to gradually brighten up again. One could almost be forgiven for thinking that there's a comet in the images!
Comment: A little bit of honesty from a very frustrated astronomer. Seriously, the reference to an 'icy' phoenix is a joke because the ancient mythology of the phoenix is associated with fire! Come on, Comet ISON entered the corona (outer atmosphere) of the sun and survived temperatures of several million degrees+ Kelvin that some claim lasted 3 hours! Whatever, solid proof that Comet ISON survived is provided here. I wonder what we are going to see in our skies because it is coming our way...

The Phoenix Mythology and Comet ISON

Since the reference to the ancient mythology of the Phoenix was posted BEFORE Comet ISON's rebirth, it gives more credibility for McCanney's Plasma Discharge Comet Model and the current honouring of esoteric knowledge by those in the know.

ISON has developed what everybody through time has observed as seeing wings form/unfold out of a comet.
The ancients have transmitted this even through stories. One of the better known one, as you well know, is of the mythological Phoenix that is born out of fire (or from the Sun as this event was only visible when the comet in question was near the Sun) and comes reeks havoc an destroys all life on whatever planet it passes near too, and thus allowed for life to begin again or regenerate.
Take a look at this very recent photo of ISON and compare it to typical illustrations of the legendary Phoenix with its body aflame and a long fiery tail, which the last you think would represent the comet's very long tail. Now tell me that those pics don't strongly resemble each other! When ISON gets at its closest to us in January I hope we get to witness this even with our naked eyes.
In my opinion, ISON will still remain a harmless comet and will not directly affect Earth. But it's strange to know that when ISON is at its closet to Earth that Mercury, the Sun, Earth, Venus and Jupiter will be in an alignment. This event alone will probably cause serious weather anomalies around the planet (ie: massive out of season hurricane/typhoons and tornadoes, and possibly one or two large scale earth quakes) But I don't see the world splitting in half or anything this crazy like some others are saying.
Earth will be smack in the middle of this alignment and if ISON is in the mood to discharge itself onto Earth at this point then who knows how the weather will behave like.

Comment: If comets act like vacuum cleaners like McCanney claims with is plasma discharge comet model, then finding little pieces of dust in the comet tail, that come from the inner solar system is exactly what should happen. Since, Tier 2, 3 and 4 scientists are still banging their head up against the wall with the standard comet model, everything they say about comets cannot be automatically believed.

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — When George Loegering saw a large spinning circle of ice in the Sheyenne River while out hunting with relatives, the retired engineer couldn't believe his eyes.
"At first I thought, no way! It was surreal," Loegering, 73, said Tuesday of the large ice disk he witnessed Saturday. "You looked at it and you thought, how did it do that?"
Then his engineering background kicked in. He calculated the disk's diameter to be about 55 feet, took photos and videos of it and then turned to the Internet for more information about what he, his brother-in-law and nephew had seen.
"It's not an unknown phenomenon, but it is relatively rare," said Loegering, who lives in rural Casselton, about 20 miles west of Fargo.
Allen Schlag, a National Weather Service hydrologist in Bismarck, and Greg Gust, a weather service meteorologist in Grand Forks, said a combination of cold, dense air last weekend and an eddy in the river likely caused the disk.
Comment: The formation of ice depends on the presence of an electric field so a spiral suggests to me that a magnetic vortex had started that provided the right ingredients for the rare phenomenon of a large spinning circle of ice. The convention view provided by Wikipedia suggests: "Ice discs form on the outer bends in a river where the accelerating water creates a force called 'rotational shear', which breaks off a chunk of ice and twists it around.[5] As the disc rotates, it grinds against surrounding ice — smoothing into a circle."

Florida kid injured after meteorite hits him on the head

LOXAHATCHEE, Fla. -- The odds are astronomical, but 7-year-old Steven Lippard and his dad are convinced the boy was struck by pebbles from a meteorite Saturday while playing outside.
Steven has a gash -- stitched up with three staples -- on his head to prove it. Initial testing at Florida Atlantic University indicates the little stones -- pea sized and smaller -- are metallic, a good sign they came from space. Other testing supports the meteorite theory.
When it happened Saturday, Steven was bleeding from a wound that apparently came out of nowhere. His dad Wayne thought it might be from a golf ball or maybe a bird swooping down.
Moments later they found the little rocks. A chemical test can confirm they came from space.

Why Have 10 Major Volcanoes Along The Ring Of Fire Suddenly Roared To Life?

Ten major volcanoes have erupted along the Ring of Fire during the past few months, and the mainstream media in the United States has been strangely silent about this. But this is a very big deal. We are seeing eruptions at some volcanoes that have been dormant for decades. Yes, it is certainly not unusual for two or three major volcanoes along the Ring of Fire to be active at the same time, but what we are witnessing right now is highly unusual. And if the U.S. media is not concerned about this yet, the truth is that they should be. Approximately 90 percent of all earthquakes and approximately 80 percent of all volcanic eruptions occur along the Ring of Fire, and it runs directly up the west coast of the United States. Perhaps if Mt. Rainier in Washington state suddenly exploded or a massive earthquake flattened Los Angeles the mainstream media would wake up. Most Americans have grown very complacent about these things, but right now we are witnessing volcanic activity almost everywhere else along the Ring of Fire. It is only a matter of time before it happens here too.

The average number of volcanic systems erupting during a year is 50-60; and that gives us a fair barometer of how much thermal energy the planet is venting. The more volcanoes that erupt, the greater the amount of thermal energy the planet is dissipating. If more than half are erupting continuously, that’s something to take note of. What we’re seeing, however, is multiple eruptive phases from active volcanic systems as well as new activity from previously dormant systems. In 1990, there was only 55 volcanic systems erupting. Based on all the emergency drills that have taken place in recent years, I would argue that authorities are well aware of the threat. Whatever, volcanoes are going up because of the inner heating of our planet brought on by space climate change. The Prime Minister has already U-turned over his pledge to lead the "greenest government ever" by promising to roll back eco taxes which add £110 to the average energy bill.
But Mr Cameron, who once hugged a husky, has gone even further in private, according to Tory sources.
"He's telling everyone: 'We've got to get rid of all this green crap'. He's absolutely focused on it," one said.
The Government has been struggling to work out how to response since Labour leader Ed Miliband announced he would freeze energy prices if he wins power.
Comment: I suppose the reality is politicians are there to impose unsuitable solutions that profit a few. They then get to generate another fanfare announcement to dispense with these unwanted initiatives when their usefulness has diminished, to then repeat the cycle with something else. The real problem is the public cooperate with the game being played.

Nov. 24, 2013: In 2007, astronomers were amazed when a solar storm hit Comet Encke. NASA STEREO spacecraft watched as a CME (coronal mass ejection) struck the comet head on and ripped off its tail.

On Nov. 28th, Comet ISON will pass through the sun's atmosphere, flying little more than a million kilometers above the sun's surface. It will be ~30 times closer to the sun than Encke was in 2007 and more likely to encounter a ferocious solar storm. [...]
NASA's entire fleet of solar observatories will be watching when ISON takes the plunge. This includes STEREO-A and STEREO-B, the Solar Dynamics Observatory, and the Solar and Heliophysics Observatory (SOHO), which NASA operates along with the European Space Agency. If a CME strikes the comet, all of the spacecraft are likely to see what happens.
Comment: OK, we have an official statement that a huge number of state-of-the-art astronomical instruments are focused on Comet ISON, but NASA will still not provide decent high quality close-up images... I can only presume the info is classified, but the issue is why? Based on all the muttering about the strangeness of Comet ISON, we can only surmise there is something to hide.

WHY IS COMET ISON GREEN? Taken by hundreds of people around the world, the pictures of Comet ISON we receive every day vary widely in quality, context and camera settings. However, they all seem to have one thing in common: the comet looks green. Why? To answer this question, Italian amateur atronomers Paolo Corelli and Dario Comino used a high-dispersion spectrometer to analyze light from the comet's atmosphere. Here are there results:
The spectrum of Comet ISON is dominated by a green spectral line from diatomic carbon (C2). This substance is common in the atmospheres of comets, and it glows green when illuminated by sunlight in the near-vacuum of space. The spectrum also shows a weaker but still significant blue emission line from C2. Comet ISON's mixture of green and blue light gives it the aqua hue seen in many long-exposure photographs. Finally, the spectrum reveals a contribution from atomic oxygen. This element is familiar to readers of spaceweather.com as a source of green light in auroras.

Why are spaceweather.com only citing info from amateur astronomers, when NASA states a huge group of state-of-the-art astronomical instruments are focused on this comet? I can only presume the info is classified, but the issue is why? Based on all the muttering about the strangeness of Comet ISON, we can only surmise there is something to hide.

Japan may be a small nation, poor in most natural resources, but it is sitting on an abundance of energy in the form of geothermal heat. In fact, it has the world's third largest stores of geothermal energy. Efforts have now begun to unlock its potential.

The Fox 12 newsroom received several photos of objects passing through the sky above Oregon shortly after 7 a.m. Wednesday.
One FOX 12 viewer wrote she noticed "a strange line in the sky" in Beaverton.
"As it continued down, the trail behind it started to spread out as you can see in the pictures. Then it lit up like a fireball," she wrote. . . .
Comment: These types of manifestations are becoming quite common, but sites like Open Minds are very happy to stick to the business plan and maintain the mystery. So,what is wrong with the obvious explanation that this was a mass of glowing plasma (magnetospheric plasmoid) entering our atmosphere? Since the visible universe is 99.999% plasma and our Sun is a huge ball of plasma continually ejecting plasma, isn't it likely that this object came directly from our sun?

It is estimated that 16 tornadoes touched ground this past Sunday, wreaking havoc across Indiana and Illinois. A resident near one of these tornadoes in Noblesville, Indiana caught a strange object zipping around the tornado, despite high winds.

Briefly, the conclusion is that crop circle makers are warning us [assuming that they are refering to Comet ISON], that as the comet goes through sun it will generate huge CMEs towards Earth, exactly as we have seen happen before, but maybe on a bigger scale. Based on all the disaster drills and ongoing disaster preparation by world authorities, it looks like they want to be ready just in case we get some serious devastating space weather.

Comment: This is a useful reminder by Richard Hoagland that not everything is as it seems... Hoagland's analysis seems to clear up the reason for the concerns by real astronomers about just how strange this object looks and how strangely it is behaving... Unfortunately, he only talks about the standard comet model but Hoagland must realise that Tier 1 scientists know better.... Sigh... I have to agree that our perceptions of reality are heavily managed. This means that if we are totally unfamiliar with the workings of the dark cabal - who make a huge effort to steer and manage the pignorant massses (I decided to keep my typo here) - it is very hard to recognise all the different signposts that give us real insights... Sigh... Whatever, Hoagland basically states that the elite are well aware that our reality is changing and are conducting their rituals in acknowledgement, but most people are totally unaware and informing people about what's what, is like trying to extract teeth without anesthetic... the high level of education required means the resistance is enormous. On Wednesday, amateur astronomers online were very quick to point out that comet ISON had entered the field of view of the NASA STEREO-A Heliospheric Imager 1 ("HI-1A") camera. It wasn't much to look at, as we only had available our low-resolution "beacon" data, but nonetheless you could clearly see a bright streak on the left-hand side of the HI-1A images. It was nice and reassuring to see the comet arrive in the camera but we had been expecting it for a long time, and indeed had been watching it in the wider field "HI-2" camera on that spacecraft since October 11, 2013.
When our STEREO imagers first caught sight of it, the comet was barely registering magnitude 12 on the brightness scale, and many astronomers were understandably feeling edgy as it labored slowly in its rate of brightening. But just over a week ago, comet ISON suddenly and spectacularly began to live up to our lofty aspirations, experiencing a dramatic outburst that saw it brighten from a 7th magnitude "green fuzzball" into one of the most visually stunning comets we've seen in years, now shining brightly at 3rd or 4th magnitude!
The stage was set, and timing couldn't have been better for ISON to make its appearance into the higher-resolution HI-1 camera on STEREO-A -- and that's what I'm excited to share with you now. But of course, no great scene in space is complete without a cast of supporting characters, and ISON has chosen a great set of companions for this scene. [...]
What we're looking at here is a cropped section of a 20-degree field of view, taken from a spacecraft that is far from Earth. We can see not only comet ISON entering the field of view but also Comet 2P/Encke, Mercury and that little place we like to call home!
The dark "clouds" of stuff you see coming from the right are density enhancements in the solar wind, and these are what are causing all the ripples you see in comet Encke's tail. I can pretty much promise you that we're going to see ISON's tail doing that in a couple of day's time, but on a much larger scale! (ISON is closer to STEREO-A than Encke is -- this has little to do with relative sizes of the comets).
Comment: This information from a reliable source helps to counteract the huge amount of lies on conspiracy websites that seem to be about whipping up the vulnerable into a frenzied state...

They are expected to be deployed at an altitude of 490km, in a polar orbit, shortly after 13:30 GMT.
Swarm's data should help scientists understand better how the field is generated, and why it appears to be weakening.
The strength has fallen by some 15% in the past two centuries. The movement of the north geomagnetic pole has also accelerated.

Comment: It's just very strange that Earth is now experiencing a new cosmological dispensation but few are aware or interested. Personally, I just have the satisfaction that I worked out what 'The Shift' was really about and can be proud of the fact that I made an effort to inform. Nearly all news outlets covering the Paducah tornado claim the plant stopped enriching uranium earlier this year. However, according to this report, (Emphasis Added) “On 14 November 2013 Russia has shipped the last batch of low-enriched uranium [...] The cargo will be delivered to Baltimore and then to USEC’s Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant in Kentucky, where the uranium will be used to manufacture fuel for U.S. nuclear power plants.”
Also note the vast majority of reports only say that no “hazardous materials” were released — releases of “radioactive material” are not denied or admitted (see USEC’s twitter feed). The plant’s internal documents clearly distinguish between “hazardous” and “radioactive”. For example, APPENDIX F reads, “Categories of waste evaluated were LLW [low-level radioactive waste], TRU [transuranic waste], hazardous waste […] All low-level mixed (radioactive and hazardous) waste (LLMW) and hazardous waste at these sites are transported off site.”
Interestingly, USEC’s last tweet before the tornado hits is a message promoting a local showing of CNN’s much maligned pro-nuclear film ‘Pandora’s Promise‘, an event they appear to be sponsoring.

Authorities fanned out across at least a half-dozen states Monday to assess damage and search for any people who may still be trapped after a series of deadly tornadoes and powerful storms tore through the nation's heartland the day before, destroying homes and flipping over cars.
At least eight were dead, thousands homeless and hundreds of thousands without power Monday as the region began the daunting task of recovering from powerful storm system that spawned several tornadoes. Illinois was hardest hit, with at least six people killed and seven counties declared disaster areas by Gov. Pat Quinn. Two people were declared dead in Michigan.
The wave of thunderstorms also brought damaging winds and tornadoes to 11 other states: Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa, Missouri, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and western New York.
One tornado that blew through Illinois' Washington County, east of St. Louis, left a path of destruction more than three miles long, according to a preliminary survey by the National Weather Service. [...]
Just how many tornadoes hit was unclear. Although about 80 reports of tornadoes had come in as of Sunday night, Bill Bunting, the forecast operations chief of the National Weather Service's Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Okla., said the actual number will likely be in the 30 to 40 range. He said that's because the same tornado often gets reported multiple times.
Fox News meterologist Janice Dean said the stormfront could have created one of the top five outbreaks of tornadoes in November on record. The highest outbreak of tornadoes was in 1992, with 105 being reported between Nov. 21-23. Officials said the last such severe weather warning issued so late in the season in November came in 2005, and the result was an outbreak of 49 tornadoes.

The sun is set to “flip upside down” within weeks as its magnetic field reverses polarity in an event that will send ripple effects throughout the solar system.
Although it may sound like a catastrophic occurrence, there’s no need to run for cover. The sun switches its polarity, flipping its magnetic north and south, once every eleven years through an internal mechanism about which little is understood.
The swap could however cause intergalactic weather fronts such as geomagnetic storms, which can interfere with satellites and cause radio blackouts. [...]
Todd Hoeksema, director of the Wilcox Solar Observatory, said the polarity change is built up throughout the eleven year cycle through areas of intense magnetic activity known as sunspots which gradually move towards the poles, eroding the existing opposite polarity.
Eventually, the magnetic field reduces to zero, before rebounding with the opposite polarity. “It's kind of like a tide coming in or going out,” Hoeksema said. “Each little wave brings a little more water in, and eventually you get to the full reversal.”
Comment: The headline is misleading. The sun is not going to flip, the sun's magnetic field polarity at the poles is going to flip and the simple explanation here for how it happens is quite useful. Whatever, solar scientists have been weatching and scratching their heads for a long time because this solar cycle has been a major eniggma, and the switch has been a long drawn out and bizarre affair. What concerns me here is the attempt to blame the magnetic polarity swap causing " intergalactic weather fronts" I have never come across such drivel in the mainstream media concerning space weather... Shameful reporting. Maybe this is another poor attemp at blaming anything other than cometary 'action at a distance' effects on the Sun.

On November 18, 2013, Comet Encke will pass within 0.025 AU of Mercury, followed a day later by Comet ISON at 0.24 AU (1 AU is the distance between the sun and Earth, 150 million km).
NASA’s MESSENGER spacecraft, now orbiting Mercury, will turn away from the sun’s innermost planet for a time and toward the passing comets. Astronomer Ron Vervack at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab and a member of the science team for MESSENGER, called it:
… a unique coincidence and a golden opportunity to study two comets passing close to the sun.

A massive roll cloud blew over Timbercreek Canyon, Texas on Monday. A roll cloud is a horizontal cloud formation that glides relatively low to the ground, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association.
Usually these types of clouds occur alongside thunderstorms, sea breezes, and cold fronts.
This particular roll cloud wasn't caused by a thunderstorm.
Comment: Maybe these Roll clouds or Morning Glory clouds are rare in comparison to other atmospheric phenomena, but they are sill a regular feature in a few parts of the world. According to Wikipedia:
"The southern part of the Gulf of Carpentaria in Northern Australia is the only known location where it can be predicted and observed on a more or less regular basis due to the configuration of land and sea in the area."
Morning Glory Clouds. As I have mentioned before, in the highly charged electric atmosphere of Earth, this roll cloud must have been formed by unusual geomagnetic conditions.... In my mind, this is just another horizontal weakly rotating 'tornado' caused by a stray electric current generating the requisite conditions for cloud formation by a suitable containing magnetic field.

The biggest storm in the last 400 years in Europe was the tempest of 1703 which came in the later part of the Maunder Minimum Mini ice age. Comment: I have not commented much on super-typhoon Haiyan, but Piers Corbyn and others are making it very clear that we should expect more extreme events due to major changes in how the Sun's overall solar activity affects us on Earth. My main concern is: why was a country like the Philippines that gets regular typhoons, so unprepared? On this blog, I have pointed out that the US military have been building huge domes that can withstand winds of 250 miles an hour. This means that their vital equipment will not be completely destroyed by a major hurricane..... In places where typhoons are a regular threat, at the very least, hospitals, schools and community centres should all be dome structures.

Dark-sky observers around the world report seeing it with their unaided eyes on the morning of Nov. 15th. To the human eye, ISON is just a faint smudge of magnitude +5.5. Backyard telescopes are revealing much more.
The effects of the outburst have propagated into the comet's suddenly riotous tail, as shown in this image taken on the morning of Nov. 15th by Damian Peach:

COMET ISON OUTBURST: A sudden outburst of brightness from Comet ISON has catapulted it to the threshold of naked-eye visibility. "I've been imaging Comet ISON every morning," reports amateur astronomer Charles Coburn. of Rescue, CA. "On Nov. 14th, to my surprise, I could see it on my DSLR live preview screen." These two images show the comet on consecutive days as photographed by Coburn using the same camera and telescope settings:
Reports like Coburn's are coming in from around the world. Apparently, during the early hours of Nov. 14th Comet ISON surged in brightness by a factor of approximately 6. In terms of astronomical magnitudes, it jumped from +8 to +6. If the trend continues, it could be a faint but easy naked-eye object by the end of the week.
The sudden uptick in brightness could be caused by a fresh vein of ice opening up in the comet's nucleus. Rapid vaporization of ice by solar heat is a sure-fire way to boost a comet's visibility. [Fairy tale science]
But, as NASA's Comet ISON Observing Campaign states, "we have no idea." The comet's nucleus is hidden from view by a hazy green atmosphere, so events in the interior remain a mystery.

"I have a strong suspicion that this is Comet LINEAR (C/1999 S4) all over again," says Mark Kidger of the ESA's European Space Astronomy Centre in Madrid. In the year 2000, Kidger other astronomers monitored Comet LINEAR as it disintegrated en route to the sun. "The sudden appearance of ISON's gas tail (discussed further below), the increasing fuzziness of its coma, and now this sudden outburst all remind me of C/1999 S4 just before it broke apart."
To reiterate: No one knows what is happening to Comet ISON. This could be the comet's death throes--or just the first of many brightening events the comet experiences as it plunges toward the sun for a close encounter on Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 28th).

One tail is the ion tail. It is a thin streamer of ionized gas pushed away from the comet by solar wind. The filamentary ion tail points almost directly away from the sun.
The other tail is the dust tail.
Like Hansel and Gretel leaving bread crumbs to mark their way through the forest, ISON is leaving a trail of comet dust as it moves through the solar system. Meteorite fall creates panic in Garo Hills [Bangladesh]

TURA, Nov 14 – A meteorite falling in the areas bordering Bangladesh created panic among the residents of the Garo Hills region. The meteorite, which fell inside Bangladesh, lit up the night sky around 10.30 pm last night. It was eagerly watched by the residents living along these areas.
The meteorite fell close to the Dumnikura BoP in the Sherpur district of Bangladesh, just beside the international border and the impact was heard even 40 km away from the area where it fell. Dumnikura is a border outpost in the South Garo Hills, very close to where five police personnel were killed last week.
A resident of the neighbouring Dalu village in West Garo Hills, Dipu Marak, was witness to the incident.
He said, “We heard a loud noise around 10.30 pm last night and immediately rushed outside. We were in a state of shock. The meteorite lit up the night sky and narrowly missed us.”
Comment: The planet is starting to get a serious sprinkling of space rocks, hence the very real concerns about asteroid detection. I think the definitive marker is spaceweather.com who are now reporting how many fireballs NASA are detecting over the United States. Since there was a huge fuss when the U.S. military hid fireball data from astronomers, (where astronomers actually threatened to leave the United States to continue their research so this was a serious rift), I had no idea what to make of the announcements by NASA that they were starting a new all-sky network detection system. At the moment, I am giving NASA the benefit of the doubt, because their efforts can be combined with that of avid sky watchers using the internet to highlight major events. Overall, it means gone are the days when astronomers pretend meteorites and fireballs are rare events (read the archives). The Chelyabinsk meteor in mid February 2013 was the ultimate kick up the backside that woke many up from their apathy, lethargy and disinterest. The movement fueled by social media and spearheaded by two prominent British comedians is no joke.
Comment: Absolutely perfect if you like everything about church accept the man-made religious stories that you don't want to believe are absolutely true. Quite frankly, this might also be useful for those who are sick of New Age nonsense teaching too. For the intellectual who realise many don't have much understanding of reality, there is still a hope of finding other intellectuals amongst the crowd who are willing to be open minded.

Some realise that the game being played is to get most scientists going around in circles whilst the real truth is preserved for a few and if a scientist does stumble on a better understanding of reality, they are usually marginalised until key decisions are made about how to utilise the knowledge to satisfy world powers. For those who don't understand the mindset, it is simple. Knowledge is power, why would world controllers want the underclass knowing anything really radical and beneficial for the whole of mankind without major advantages for the supreme few.

Russian Meteor Blast 'A Warning For Earth'Scientists reveal new details about the space rock that exploded over the city of Chelyabinsk, temporarily outshining the sun.
The meteor strike that injured hundreds of people in Russia earlier this year could have been much more dangerous according to new research, and scientists say it "shows that the Earth is vulnerable".
The violent explosion on February 18 saw the 20-metre space rock split into fragments miles above the city of Chelyabinsk and was the biggest blast of its kind in more than 100 years.
It briefly outshone the sun and inflicted severe burns on observers below, as well as smashing windows and rattling buildings.
But researchers say a more solid rock would have caused greater damage and casualties.

Tormented survivors of a typhoon that is feared to have killed more than 10,000 in the Philippines rummaged for food Sunday through debris scattered with corpses, while frenzied mobs looted aid convoys.
Two days after one of the most powerful storms ever recorded flattened entire towns across part of the Southeast Asian archipelago, desperate survival tactics created fresh horrors.
On the outskirts of Tacloban, a coastal eastern city of 220,000 where tsunami-like waves destroyed many buildings, Edward Gualberto accidentally stepped on bodies as he raided the wreckage of a home.
Wearing nothing but a pair of red basketball trousers, the father-of-four and village councillor apologised for his shabby appearance and for stealing from the dead.
"I am a decent person. But if you have not eaten in three days, you do shameful things to survive," Gualberto told AFP as he dug canned goods from the debris and flies swarmed over the bodies.
Comment: The same level of desperation will happen in any major disaster, including major or even nationwide power blackouts that go on for more than a few days.

MINOR STORM WARNING: A 'cannibal CME' might be en route to Earth. NOAA analysts suspect that two CMEs propelled into space by the X-class flares of Nov. 8th and 10th have merged into a single cannibalized cloud. It could deliver a glancing blow to Earth's magnetic field on Nov. 13th, producing minor geomagnetic storms.
YET ANOTHER X-FLARE: Solar activity is high as sunspot AR1890 continues to produce X-class solar flares. The latest, which registered X1 on the Richter Scale of Flares, occured on Nov. 10th at 05:15 UT. NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory recorded a bright flash of extreme ultraviolet radiation from the blast site:
The flare also produced a strong burst of ~300 MHz radio waves, recorded at the Mauritius Radio Telescope on the island of Mauritius in the Indian Ocean: data.
This is the third X-flare from AR1890 since Nov. 5th, and all three have something in common: brevity. AR1890 tends to produce impulsive flares, peaking sharply in a matter of minutes or less. Brief flares usually do not produce coronal mass ejections (CMEs), but this one was an exception. A movie of the flare shows a plume of material lifting off the sun shortly after the UV flash. Update: A faint CME associated with that plume will probably sail south of our planet without hitting on Nov. 12th or 13th.

Something is up with the sun. Scientists say that solar activity is stranger than in a century or more, with the sun producing barely half the number of sunspots as expected and its magnetic poles oddly out of sync. [...] "I would say it is the weakest in 200 years," said David Hathaway, head of the solar physics group at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala.
Researchers are puzzled. They can't tell if the lull is temporary or the onset of a decades-long decline, which might ease global warming a bit by altering the sun's brightness or the wavelengths of its light.
Comment: Hmmmm.... This tells us that solar scientists are at a complete loss trying to understand what is happening on our Sun. All the talk of solar maximum is just desperation, and it seems the current solar activity is due to electrical interference from comets.
The Facts About the 2013 Gov Drill on US Power Grid
The North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) will be involved in a nationwide drill later this month.

NERC maintains that they are “running a simulated exercise to practice crisis response and information sharing. No real power outages will occur due to this exercise. The scenario does not involve EMP.”
Indeed nearly 200 utilities corporations and various organizations have agreed to participate in the drill to expand on the idea of having “a loss of power for” an extended period of time “to explore how governments would react as the loss of the grid crippled the supply chain for everyday necessities.”
To accomplish this, the blueprint entitled GridEx II will be implemented, as modeled after the initial GridEx drill that was held in 2011. [...]
Charles Bolden, director of NASA, discussed “family preparedness” and a “family support system” in conjunction with the operation Eagle Horizon in the event of a disaster.
The 2013 Eagle Horizon exercise was held last April and consisted of “tabletop exercises testing the readiness and capabilities to execute continuity operations.”
Comment: I am just grateful that authorities understand the risks even though there is little comprehension amongst the general public. Here, I am surprised to find out about yet another disaster preparedness drill that was held by NASA with no apparent publicity. Things have really changed and I have to say again, I told ya so.

I’m starting to get the chills about Comet ISON. I can’t help it. With practically every telescope turned the comet’s way fewer than three short weeks before perihelion, every week brings new images and developments. The latest pictures show a brand new tail feature emerging from the comet’s bulbous coma. For months, amateur and professional astronomers alike have watched ISON’s slowly growing dust tail that now stretches nearly half a degree or a full moon’s diameter. In the past two days, photos taken by amateur astronomers reveal what appears to be a nascent ion or gas tail. Damian Peach’s Nov. 6 image clearly shows two spindly streamers.

April 19, 2013: Anticipation is building as Comet ISON plunges into the inner solar system for a close encounter with the sun in November 2013. Blasted at point-blank range by solar radiation, the sungrazer will likely become one of the finest comets in many years.
When NASA's Swift spacecraft observed the comet in January 2013, it was still near the orbit of Jupiter, but already very active. More than 112,000 pounds of dust were spewing from the comet's nucleus every minute.
It turns out, some of that dust might end up on Earth.
Veteran meteor researcher Paul Wiegert of the University of Western Ontario has been using a computer to model the trajectory of dust ejected by Comet ISON, and his findings suggest that an unusual meteor shower could be in the offing.
"For several days around January 12, 2014, Earth will pass through a stream of fine-grained debris from Comet ISON," says Wiegert. "The resulting shower could have some interesting properties. [...]
While the dust is “up there,” it could produce noctilucent clouds (NLCs).

FROM THE SCROLL OF ADEPHA
The Doomshape, called The Destroyer, in Egypt, was seen in all the lands whereabouts. In colour it was bright and fiery, in appearance changing and unstable. It twisted about itself like a coil, like water bubbling into a pool from an underground supply, and all men agree it was a most fearsome sight. It was not a great comet or a loosened star, being more like a fiery body of flame.
Its movements on high were slow, below it swirled in the manner of smoke and it remained close to the sun whose face it hid. There was a bloody redness about it, which changed as it passed along its course. It caused death and destruction in its rising and setting. It swept the Earth with grey cinder rain and caused many plagues, hunger and other evils. It bit the skin of men and beast until they became mottled with sores.
The Earth was troubled and shook, the hills and mountains moved and rocked. The dark smoke-filled Heavens bowed over Earth and a great howl came to the ears of men, borne to them upon the wings of the wind. It was the cry of the Dark Lord, the Master of Dread. Thick clouds of fiery smoke passed before him and there was an awful hail of hot stones and coals of fire. The Doomshape thundered sharply in the Heavens and shot out bright lightings.
The channels of water were turned back unto themselves when the land tilted, and great trees were tossed about and snapped like twigs. Then a voice like ten thousand trumpets was heard over the wilderness, and before its burning breath the flames parted. The whole of the land moved and mountains melted. The sky itself roared like ten thousand lions in agony, and bright arrows of blood sped back and forth across its face. Earth swelled up like bread upon the hearth.
This was the aspect of the Doomshape called The Destroyer, when it appeared in days long gone by, in olden times. It is thus described in the old records, few of which remain. It is said that when it appears in the Heavens above, Earth splits open from the heat, like a nut roasted before the fire. Then flames shoot up through the surface and leap about like fiery fiends upon black blood.
The moisture inside the land is all dried up, the pastures and cultivated places are consumed in flames and they and all trees become white ashes. The Doomshape is like a circling ball of flame which scatters small fiery offspring in its train. It covers about a fifth part of the sky and sends writhing snakelike fingers down to Earth. Before it the sky appears frightened, and it breaks up and scatters away. Midday is no brighter than night. It spawns a host of terrible things.
These are things said of The Destroyer in the old records, read them with a solemn heart, knowing that the Doomshape has its appointed time and will return. It would be foolish to let them go unheeded. Now men say, “Such things are not destined for our days”. May the Great God above grant that this be so. But come, the day surely will, and in accordance with his nature man will be unprepared.

European Satellite Is Falling from Space, But Where Will It Hit?

The fate of European Space Agency's falling GOCE satellite was sealed in October, when the spacecraft ran out of the fuel needed to keep it aloft in a very low orbit above Earth.
Now that the satellite's mission is over, its handlers at the European Space Agency (ESA) are closely tracking its ever-descending orbit to determine where it might fall.

Esa's last mission to make an uncontrolled re-entry was the magnetosphere explorer Isee-2, which came back in 1987.
The agency does, however, regularly manage controlled re-entries. Its space station freighter, the Automated Transfer Vehicle, can weigh some 13 tonnes when it comes back to Earth.

Super Typhoon Haiyan, which slammed into the Philippines early Friday morning, is one of the strongest storms ever recorded on the planet. Here are some fast facts about the storm:
• Super Typhoon Haiyan had winds of 195 mph and gusts of 235 mph. This is one of the highest wind speeds ever recorded in a storm in world history.
• It made landfall as the most powerful typhoon or hurricane in recorded history, as based on wind speed measurements from satellites.
• The strength of Haiyan is equal to that of an extremely powerful Category 5 hurricane in the Atlantic. (Typhoons are the same type of storms as hurricanes).
• No hurricane in the Atlantic has ever been this strong; Hurricane Camille hit the U.S. Gulf Coast with an estimated wind speed of 190 mph.
Comment: I think we must relate this to the recent delivery of extra solar energy evidenced by
28 solar flares in a 7 day period. Since there is no sign of the solar activity declining (because Comet ISON is still getting closer to the Sun), there may more to come. At this time, we need info coming from astrophysicists and meteorologists who take major bouts of space weather into account.
Hubble sees asteroid spouting six comet-like tails

Phys.org) —Astronomers using NASA's Hubble Space Telescope have identified what they can only describe as a never-before-seen "weird and freakish object" in the asteroid belt that looks like a rotating lawn sprinkler.
Normal asteroids should appear simply as tiny points of light. But this asteroid, designated P/2013 P5, has six comet-like tails of dust radiating from it like spokes on a wheel.
Because nothing like this has ever been seen before, astronomers are scratching their heads to find an adequate explanation for its out-of-this-world appearance.
"We were literally dumbfounded when we saw it," said lead investigator David Jewitt of the University of California at Los Angeles. "Even more amazing, its tail structures change dramatically in just 13 days as it belches out dust. That also caught us by surprise. It's hard to believe we're looking at an asteroid."
Comment: We are back to the mechanistic mindset that wants to compartmentalize everything with strict definitions when the evidence is overwhelming that the universe generates variety on a continium. Charles Fort explained this nicely with the analogy that scientists like to define yellow and red, ignoring anything that is orange. Often orange will become defined when overwhelming evidence means reality can no longer be ignored. The scientific community make themselves look naive by moaning on about variation and failing to acknowledge this basic principal in the universe. James McCanney writes:

Walmart has said that it has resolved an issue that was causing an online frenzy among shoppers. An apparent glitch on the company's website early this morning led to $8.85 listings for items that included computer monitors and projectors normally worth hundreds of dollars.
The country's largest retailer was selling a 24-inch high-definition Viewsonic computer monitor, an InFocus IN2124 Projector digital projectors and other products, many for $8.85. The projector is listed for $578.89 on Walmart.com and $579.99 on Newegg.com.
As customers shared the deals on social media sites like Instagram, wondering if the site was hacked, products sold out in just hours.

Large Meteor Reported Over Southern California Skies On Wednesday Evening

A large meteor was reported to Southern California Weather Authority.com on Wednesday evening by a few people. After the Facebook post, a number came in to continue talking about it. This bright mysterious flash likely was a meteor. Reports are still coming in.
Meteors hit the atmosphere at between 35 and 80km/sec, depending on the angle of the Earth. This meteor’s direction was said to be from northeast to southwest, likely causing it to be a slower variety due to the angle of attack on the Earth’s atmosphere.

emergency disaster drill in Washington but most folk are still oblivious that the subject of space weather has got deadly serious. Oh well, let the skyfall...

The U.S. government gained a new sense of urgency after Chelyabinsk, quietly holding a disaster drill earlier this year in Washington that was meant to simulate what would happen if a slightly bigger space rock threatened the East Coast.
After the drill, NASA and Federal Emergency Management Agency officials said they should look at the need for evacuations, figure out ways of keeping the public informed without scaring them, and handle meteor threats in a way comparable to how they deal with hurricanes bearing down on the coast.
During the drill, when it looked as if the meteor would hit just outside the nation's capital, experts predicted 78,000 people could die. But when the mock meteor ended up in the ocean, the fake damage featured a 49-foot tsunami and shortages of supplies along the East Coast, according to an after-action report obtained by The Associated Press.
The exercise and the studies show there's a risk from smaller space rocks that strike before they are detected -- not just from the giant, long-seen-in-advance ones like in the movie "Armageddon," said Bill Ailor, a space debris expert at the Aerospace Corporation who helped coordinate the drill.
"The biggest hazard from asteroids right now is the city-busting airbursts, not the civilization-busting impacts from 1-kilometer-diameter objects that has so far been the target of most astronomical surveys," Purdue University astronomer Jay Melosh, who wasn't part of the studies, wrote in an email.
Comment: The fear is a whole city destroyed by a little meteor that nobody can detect until it is too late. Can you imagine what would happen when all the asleep folk are jolted awake by such a mega disaster? A mega shitstorm, that's what will happen. Instead, Google offered a statement that it was just, oh, you know, building a nice floating glass box that children could swim to, in order to learn about new technology.

If Google was going to create floating Google Glass showrooms, again it might have decided to get people talking (something the company has done an excellent job at doing with Google Glass).

These Google barges or 'Arks' will be costing a lot of money to build and maintain, but Google still has not made up its mind what they are being used for? Last month visibility in Harbin dropped to below three metres because of heavy smog. On days like these, no surveillance camera can see through the thick layers of particles, say scientists and engineers.
To the authorities, this is a serious national security concern. Beijing has invested heavily to build up a nationwide surveillance network that lets police watch every major street and corner in main cities.

SOLAR FLARE CAUSES RARE 'MAGNETIC CROCHET': On Nov. 5th at 22:12 UT, the magnetic canopy of sunspot AR1890 erupted, producing a brief but intense X3-class solar flare. NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory recorded the extreme ultraviolet flash:
Radiation from the flare caused a surge in the ionization of Earth's upper atmosphere--and this led to a rare magnetic crochet. Alexander Avtanski observed the effect using a homemade magnetometer in San Jose, California. A magnetic crochet is a disturbance in Earth's magnetic field caused by electrical currents flowing in air 60 km to 100 km above our heads. Unlike geomagnetic disturbances that arrive with CMEs days after a flare, a magnetic crochet occurs while the flare is in progress. They tend to occur during fast impulsive flares like this one.

Solar Flare Effect or Magnetic Crochet,which makes me wonder whether this means the equatorial electrojet was pumped up dramatically. So, it really looks like the US power down grid exercise was due to expectations that it may be totally necessary and prudent to be ready for a major solar blowout... As a reminder, maverick astrophysicist James McCanney said there could be a major electrical interaction when Comet ISON passed Mars. I assumed this meant big huge bolts of electrical discharge, (the thunderbolts of the gods), but Mars acquiring a permanent electrifed coma was an even bigger surprise, so we have to congratulate McCanney on his prediction. The next prediction is an interaction with Mercury and nobody can guess what could happen there... but we sit and wait whilst the Sun belches out more big flares and CMEs. This will continually weaken Earth's cosmic defenses that will facilitate the damage if we get a killer shot in the form of a fast CME with the right magnetic configuration from the Sun...

A magnetic crochet arises from the increased ionisation in the D and E layers of the ionosphere caused by the massive increase in X-ray radiation generated by the solar flare. This ionisation changes the properties (especially the conductivity) of these ionospheric layers allowing electric currents to flow more easily. It is the magnetic effect of these currents which produce the jump in the earth's magnetic field. As the flare declines, the ionospheric layers quickly return to their previous state, the electric currents in the layers return to normal, and the change in the magnetic field ends.

New active region 1890 produced yet another strong impulsive flare. Powerful X3.3 solar flare erupted at 22:12 UTC on November 5, 2013. This sunspot group already produced 2 M-class and dozens of C-class solar flares in the past two days.

On this day, exactly 10 years ago, the largest ever recorded solar flare in history erupted from Sun's western limb. This mega flare started its historic eruption at 19:29 UTC from Active Region 10486 and peaked around 19:50 UTC.
Ionizing radiation from the flare hit Earth's atmosphere soon after the explosion and caused a severe radio blackout. The explosion also hurled a Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) into space but it was only partially directed toward Earth and expected to deliver only a glancing blow to Earth's magnetic field.
The flare saturated the X-ray detectors on the NOAA's GOES satellites for 11 minutes and the jury was out for a while on the definitive classification of the flare.

Is it the coming of the apocalypse, some sort of alien communication or just the work of electromagnetic currents?
Whatever the theory the chilling trumpet-like sounds heard coming from the sky as far as Kiev, Canada and Manchester has sparked a fierce debate to its origins.
And the latest incident recorded from Blackburn, Lancashire, last month proves that the mysterious noises are not confined to major cities but have been heard in smaller towns.
The noises were first documented in 2011 with several more recordings appearing on YouTube throughout 2012 and 2013 with claims that the sounds were the work of High Frequency Active Auroral Research – a deep sea communication device.
Comment: Again, the religious folk point out that we are experiencing 'The End Times', but few have decoded enough information to work out that religious scriptures are the end result of astrotheology, the very important preservation of ancient knowledge concerning a changing cosmic environment and what the citizens of planet Earth should expect. Surely this has got really obvious now? The 'signs of the times' are now everywhere...

This is the terrifying moment an electrical fireball knocked out power lines in Canada.
The astonishing cellphone footage shows balls of sparks and flames zipping down cables in Lachine — near Montreal — late Friday night.
Heavy storms and winds of 70 mph had hit the area and more than 350,000 residents were left without power.

Huge lightning fireball caught on camera as it traveled down power lines, missing a home by just inches OK. I saw the video links on various forums but I was not really interested as nobody mentioned that before the ball of fire, there was disco light show going on, with the sky lighting up in a various different colours... So, as far as I am concerned, this event appears to have been a release of energy from the Earth that also resulted in a major burst of energy taking the easiest route along a power line. Photon emissions at different wavelengths appears to be a 'slow' form of quakelights where light (photons) end up travelling at different speeds, so the light energy is being effectively split into various colours, see archives for other major displays in recent years. At the moment, reality is a problem for mainstream theory to account for this, but as usual, mainstream theory is inadequate and most likely, somebody proposed a good theory 50 years ago that can account for what is going on. (I have actually found an old theory that I think covers this...) What I can say, is that for a long time, geoscientists refused to believe that earthquakes are often preceded by bursts of light (quakelights), until the evidence was so great they had to admit the phenomenon was real. Thus 'disco' quakelights seems to be the next major hurdle in explaining how the light is travelling in such away that it is being released at specific wavelights. The 'fireball' travelling along a power line, is more often called 'ball lightning', but video footage like this is very very rare. As I have claimed many times in my writings, we are in the midst of a planetary refresh and sometimes the incoming and outgoing bursts of energy are ferocious.
Newly Discovered ‘Force Field’ Shields a Colossal Cloud On Its Plunge into Milky Way's Center

The Smith Cloud, a gigantic streamer of hydrogen gas that is on a collision course with the Milky Way Galaxy, is hurtling toward the Milky Way at more than 150 miles per second and is predicted to impact in approximately 30 million years. When it does, astronomers believe, it will set off a spectacular burst of star formation. But first, it has to survive careening through the halo, or atmosphere, of hot ionized gas surrounding the Milky Way. This discovery could help explain how so-called high velocity clouds (HVCs) remain mostly intact during their mergers with the disks of galaxies, where they would provide fresh fuel for a new generation of stars.
Comment: I think the evidence shows that sparks of consciousness exist to deliver change at all scales within our universe. The muttering about magnetic fields that keep this 'cloud' together, thus defying old obsolete ideas, is just a small admission that current cosmological theory is totally inadequate to explain what astronomers can observe in the universe.
Comet ISON looking 'downright weird' as it approaches the sun

The newest 'comet of the century' has been making a name for itself since it was discovered last year, with claims that it's Nibiru, a doomsday comet, or even an alien spacecraft.
However, this comet has been behaving very strangely recently, and a recent analysis of comet images have shown a structure unlike anything scientists have seen from previous comets.
"There is a bright, miniature, long-tailed comet situated within a much larger, but very much fainter and diffuse halo of a coma," said veteran comet-hunter John Bortle, according to Space.com.
Dr. Jian-Yang Li, of the Planetary Science Institute, put together the computer simulation of the comet that took the Hubble Space Telescope images and removed the signal for the diffuse coma that surrounds the central core. What's left is an image of the comet's nucleus and the concentrated tail of debris behind it.
"At this stage of the game, with the comet about to cross the orbit of Earth,
I cannot recall any previous comet in my 50-plus years of comet observing looking quite like this," Bortle said. In fact, comet ISON is crossing Earth's orbit as of today, as it plummets towards a November 28th pass around the sun. After that, it will swing around the sun's north pole and head back out towards the outer solar system, passing almost directly over Earth around the end of the year.
Comment: I think this is worth noting, especially if more astronomers are brave enough to point out that Comet ISON appears to be something quite unusual.
Waters Turning Red in Nootdorp - Blue Heron - The Netherlands

This canal in South Holland turned blood red overnight and is a mystery to local authorities. PHOTO'S - http://www.daviddilling.com/fotogalle... The local water department (the Hoogheemraadschap in Dutch) has take samples and is quickly trying to determine what this is. The blue heron (reiger in Dutch) did not seem to mind the waters being red though and was actually calmer then ever when I was filming!
Appears to be a bacteria that should be harmless, but they still warn to stay away from the area until tests are complete -

Waters Turn Blood Red In Netherlands – Another Sign Of Prophecy?
It is likely an algae, but these red algae are rare in The Netherlands, especially in November. The local press interviewed someone calling it red win. Now, if he says so, he can drink it first.
Naturally Biblical references of Wormwood, Revelations and Ezekiel 32:6 comes to mind. Revelations 8 reads, "The third angel sounded, and a great star fell from heaven, burning like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of waters. 11The name of the star is called Wormwood; and a third of the waters became wormwood, and many men died from the waters, because they were made bitter."
Likely just an algae that came in with that St Jude Storm last week and it was a bit warmer then normal, although not really tropical, but 15 or so Celsius for a day, not longer.
We will await what the water department finds. At least the blue heron was not deterred by the color of the water!
Comment:It does make me wonder just how long it will take for more people see the Big Picture... The concept of astrotheology and the preservation of ancient knowledge through mythology and holy scripture is really not that difficult. See archives using online search for more stories of seas and rivers turning red. I am not a marine biologist but the trigger for waters turning red is notably vague in the literature... Based on the evidence of the stronger electrical interactions taking place in our atmosphere (beams of killer electrons and natural lasers), I think waters turning red are just one biochemical end result.

TOKYO (Reuters) - A Japanese lawmaker handed Emperor Akihito a letter on Thursday expressing fear about the health impact of the Fukushima nuclear disaster, breaking a taboo by trying to involve the emperor in politics.
Taro Yamamoto, who is also an anti-nuclear activist, gave Akihito the letter during a garden party, setting off a storm of protest on the Internet from critics shocked at his action.
Comment: As we all know now, Japan is Fukued by the Fukushima nuclear disaster and we can only hope that seer Edgar Cayce gets his Japan prediction correct, for the sake of the rest of the world. I actually feel sorry for the Japanese that are actually real humans, because it is obvious to the discerning that those in charge can only be the intraspecies predators with rules of behaviour that are hard to fully comprehend by real humans.
